FEBRUARY 24, 2020
An officer took a report for a stolen cell phone. Between 0930 and 1200 hrs, the victim was at a school on Goddard Ave and left her bag with a phone in it unattended. When the victim returned, the phone was no longer in her bag and was being tracked to Cambridge.
An officer took a report for a car break. Sometime overnight a vehicle on High St was entered through unlocked doors and a door stopper was stolen.
Officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a shoplifting. Staff stated two suspects were concealing hygeine products and laundry detergent in their personal bags and subsequently fled. The suspects were stopped further down Harvard St and subsequently arrested for shoplifting and warrants.
Officers responded twice in the afternoon for well being checks of two individuals sleeping in an ATM vestibule on Beacon St. Shortly after the second well being checked, it was learned that the two individuals had shoplifted from a nearby store earlier in the day. Both individuals were subsequently arrested for shoplifting.
At 1500 hrs, an officer responded to a person bit by a dog on Harvard St. Upon further investigation it was learned that the dog in question had bit another dog tied to a bench on the sidewalk after being spooked by a passing vehicle. Bystanders attempted to separate the dogs and in the process were bit with one person requiring transport to the hospital. Both dog owners were cited for various by-law violations.
An officer took a report for a car break. Sometime overnight a vehicle on Walnut St was entered through unlocked doors and a laptop and checkbook were stolen.
An officer responded to a business on Commonwealth Ave for a larceny report. The victim stated that he left his wallet in a locked locker between 1630 and 2015 hrs while working out. Upon returning to the locker he noticed the lock was tampered with and his wallet was stolen.

At 1155 hrs, officers observed a subject they are familiar with for shoplifting exit a business on Washington St holding merchandise. The subject was stopped and upon further investigation it was learned that the subject had concealed merchandise in his jacket and left without paying. The subject was arrested for shoplifting.
An officer took a report for a past stolen wallet. The victim stated he left his wallet in the restaurant when leaving after his shift. Upon returning to the restaurant to retrieve his wallet it could not be located. Video surveillance inside the restaurant showed another employee stealing the wallet. Upon further investigation, the suspect was summonsed for larceny.

At 1322 hrs, officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a shoplifting. Staff stated the suspect concealed beauty products in his bag and dropped them when he was confronted. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.
At 1738 hrs, officers responded to a business on Beacon St for a stolen cell phone. The victim stated she left her cell phone in the bathroom and it was gone when she returned to locate it. The woman who used the bathroom after her was confronted and the victim could hear the phone ringing in her bag. The suspect eventually admitted to taking the cell phone. She was arrested for the larceny as well as several warrants.

At 2318 hrs, officers responded to a residence on Beals St for a dispute between roommates. Both had conflicting stories as to how the argument became physical. Both were summonsed for mutual assault and battery.
At 0847 hrs, an officer responded to a business on Harvard St for a stolen laptop. The victim stated he left his laptop in the ATM area of the business while conducting business. After determining he left the laptop behind, he was unable to locate it when he went back.
An officer took a report for a past assault. The victim stated she and her son observed a male urinating on a building near the intersection of Washington St and White Pl. When confronted the suspect was verbally confrontational and threatened physical violence.
At 1630 hrs, officers responded to a business on Beacon St for an individual attempting to cash a fraudulent check. Upon further investigation, the suspect was arrested for attempted larceny and fraud.

The victim and suspect were in the common area of a residence on Centre St. The suspect went to grab her child who was running around and in the process grabbed a cell phone out of the victim's hand and slammed it on the table causing damage. The suspect was summonsed for assault and battery as well as malicious damage.

At 1733 hrs an officer responded to a residence on Kenwood St for a package theft that occurred in the past hour. The package was delivered to the front porch area of the residence and was stolen prior to the victim retrieving it.

An officer took a report for a car break from a residence on Park St. Sometime between February 5 at 6PM and February 6 at 730AM the vehicle was entered through unlocked doors and a wallet as well as cash were stolen.
Officers responded to a business on Harvard St for an armed robbery that just occurred. The staff stated that they observed the suspect conceal multiple clothing items and attempt to leave the store without paying. Staff confronted the suspect and asked for return of the merchandise as well as he accompany them to the loss prevention office to be issued a no trespass order. The suspect then stated he had a gun and for the staff to let him go. Upon further investigation, the identity of the suspect was learned and he was arrested for armed robbery.

An officer took a report for a past assault and battery at a medical facility on Park St. The victim and her roommate disagreed with the volume of a radio. The roommate called for staff to assist in turning down the music. After turning off the radio, the victim called the staff member a derogatory term. The victim stated the staff member then struck her in the mouth. The case is under investigation.

An officer took a theft report from a residence on Clinton Rd. Solar panels kept in the backyard of the residence, while it is under construction were stolen sometime between January 28 and January 29.
Officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a shoplifting. The suspect stole a bottle of alcohol and fled the store. The suspect was stopped a short distance away and arrested.
An officer took a package theft report from a residence on University Rd. On January 29 between 9PM and 930PM, the package was delivered to the front door and the contents were stolen before the resident could retrieve it.

An officer took a report for an animal bite at a residence on Sewall Ave. The victim stated that at approximately 1130PM, a dog ran out of the apartment building and bit her thigh causing a superficial wound. The victim did not want to pursue the matter and just wanted a medical evaluation.
An officer took a report for an indecent assault and battery that occurred at the intersection of Beacon St and Hawes St. The victim stated that an individual was exhibiting bizarre behavior on the street as she and a friend walked by. After walking a distance away, the suspect ran up behind the victim and slapped her in the backside while holding a cigarette. The victim was uninjured. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

An officer responded to a medical facility on Babcock St for an assault and battery report. After interviewing the involved parties it was determined that an argument ensued between two patients after a misunderstanding. The argument turned physical when one patient kicked another and the other attempted to throw a punch. A scuffle ensued and a staff member was struck in the process. Both patients were summonsed for mutual assault and battery.
An officer responded to a business on Commonwealth Ave for a shoplifting. The suspect concealed a calculator in his jacket and walked out of the store. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Upon examination of her dog, a small puncture wound was observed on the dogs right side. It is unknown what kind of animal bit the dog.

An officer responded to a residence on Middlesex Rd for a larceny from a motor vehicle report. Sometime overnight, the vehicle was entered through unlocked doors and loose change was stolen.

An officer took a report for a past attempted robbery. The victim stated that at approximately 8:30PM on January 28, he arrived at his residence on Bowker St. As he was on the porch, the suspect grabbed the victim by the shoulder. The suspect kept a hand in his sweater pocket while demanding money from the victim. The victim escaped the porch and the suspect fled the area. The victim did not lose any items of monetary value.

The suspects stay in the residence for 40 minutes and then leave without buying anything. Employees of the restaurant later reported that items were stolen from the employee room.

An officer took a report for larceny from a motor vehicle from a residence on Singletree Rd. Sometime overnight two vehicles were entered through unlocked doors. Sunglasses were stolen from one vehicle and change was stolen from the second. While taking this report, the victim reported to the officer that several pieces of jewelry were stolen from her residence last year. Two additional reports were taken for jewelry stolen in December and July.
An officer took a report for larceny from a motor vehicle from a residence on St Paul St. Sometime over a span of three days, the vehicle was entered through unlocked doors and the contents were rummaged through. The victim reported nothing was stolen.
At 1:45AM, officers responded to the area of Beacon St and St Paul St for an attempted robbery where the victim was threatened with a weapon. The victim stated that while walking on Beacon St, he was followed by the unknown suspect. As the victim approached St Paul St, the suspect asked for a lighter and if the victim wanted to follow him around the corner. At this point the suspect kept one hand in his sweatshirt motioning as if he had a weapon while trying to reach into the victim's pockets. The victim was able to avoid losing any items of value and the suspect fled the area. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.
At 3:00AM, officers responded to a residence on Beacon St for a robbery that occurred an hour prior. The victim stated that he was walking home on Beacon St at approximately 2:00AM. The suspect approached the victim asking if there was convenience store nearby. The victim walked with the suspect to show him where there was convenience store. In the area of Beacon St and Pleasant St, the suspect elbowed the victim in a business foyer where he displayed a knife and demanded money. The victim provided the suspect with all the cash he had at which point the suspect fled the area. The suspect in this case appears to match the description of the suspect in the above mentioned incident.

An officer took a report for larceny from a motor vehicle at a residence on West Roxbury Parkway. Sometime overnight, the vehicle was entered through unlocked doors and various items of monetary value were stolen.
An officer took a report for larceny from a motor vehicle at a residence on Russett Rd. Sometime overnight, the vehicle was entered through unlocked doors and change was stolen.
At 2:05PM, officers responded to the lower Beacon St area for a male threatening to shoot a local store employee and made a gesture as if he had a gun. The suspect was reported to be travelling with a companion. Two parties were stopped on the Muddy River pathway who matched the description. The store employee stated that he observed the suspect get into a verbal argument with someone on the street and spit in their direction. The employee confronted the suspect about the incident, which resulted in the suspect threatening to shoot him and grabbing his waistband, gesturing as if he had a gun. The suspect was searched where no gun was found. The suspect was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon. The companion he was travelling with had a warrant for his arrest.
An officer took a report for larceny from Brookline High School. The victim left his backpack in an unlocked locker while at sports practice. When the victim came back his headphones and cash were taken from his backpack.

An officer took two reports for malicious damage from two separate medical facilities on Harvard St. Sometime overnight, the facilities were egged.
At 12:00PM, officers responded to the main library on Washington St for a patron harassing an employee. The suspect was identified and no trespassed from all libraries in Brookline.
JANUARY 24, 2020
An officer took a report for larceny from a motor vehicle at a residence on Regent Cr. Sometime overnight, the vehicle was entered through unlocked doors where headphones and a cell phone were stolen.
An officer took a report for larceny from a mailbox. Sometime between January 4 and January 8, a check was stolen from a mailbox in the area of St Paul St and Alton Pl. The check was altered and fraudulently cashed.
JANUARY 26, 2020
An officer took a shoplifting report that occurred the day prior from a business on Commonwealth Av. On January 25 at 10:20AM, the suspect entered the store and placed multiple electronic items in a bag and fled without paying. The suspect was identified and a warrant was sought for his arrest.
An officer took a report for larceny from a locker at the public pool on Tappan St. Sometime between 2:30PM and 4:00PM, two lockers were pried open and one was left unlocked. From the unlocked locker credit cards were stolen from the victim's wallet and fraudulently used.
JANUARY 27, 2020
An officer took a report for threats from a residence on St Paul St. The victim stated that in 2017, she lent a large sum of money to family members with a repayment plan in place. Since then, the family members have not paid the victim back and changed their phone numbers to avoid her. The victim located the family members and when confronted about payment, they stated they would kill her family in Colombia and her as well.
At 10:15AM, officers responded to the area of Cypress St and Walnut St for a dispute where the victim's feet were run over. It was later determined that an argument about the suspect's side view mirrors resulted in a verbal argument. Both parties had conflicting statements, but declined to press charges and the matter was resolved.
An officer took a report for larceny from a motor vehicle at a residence on Holly Ln. Sometime overnight the vehicle was entered through unlocked doors, while in the garage, and change was stolen.
An officer took a report for suspicious activity from Gerry Rd. On January 27 at approximately 2:00PM, an elementary school student was walking home when he observed an individual wearing a "hacker mask" walk towards him. The individual never spoke to the student or chased after him and was at least 25 feet away at all times. The student felt the individual was seeking him out and hid until the individual walked away from the area.
An officer took a report for larceny from a motor vehicle that was parked on Tappan St. Sometime between 1:30PM and 4:00PM, the vehicle was entered through unlocked doors and credit cards were stolen from the victim's wallet. The credit cards were used to make fraudulent transactions.
An officer took a package theft report from a residence on High St. Sometime between January 26 at 6:35PM and January 27 at 12:00PM, the contents of the package were stolen from the front door of the residence.

The store employee stated that he observed the suspect get into a verbal argument with someone on the street and spit in their direction. The employee confronted the suspect about the incident, which resulted in the suspect threatening to shoot him and grabbing his waistband, gesturing as if he had a gun. The suspect was searched where no gun was found. The suspect was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon. The companion he was travelling with had a warrant for his arrest.

An officer took a shoplifting report that occurred the day prior from a business on Commonwealth Av. On January 25 at 10:20AM, the suspect entered the store and placed multiple electronic items in a bag and fled without paying. The suspect was identified and a warrant was sought for his arrest.
An officer took a report for larceny from a locker at the public pool on Tappan St. Sometime between 2:30PM and 4:00PM, two lockers were pried open and one was left unlocked. From the unlocked locker credit cards were stolen from the victim's wallet and fraudulently used.

An officer took a report for threats from a residence on St Paul St. The victim stated that in 2017, she lent a large sum of money to family members with a repayment plan in place. Since then, the family members have not paid the victim back and changed their phone numbers to avoid her. The victim located the family members and when confronted about payment, they stated they would kill her family in Colombia and her as well.
At 10:15AM, officers responded to the area of Cypress St and Walnut St for a dispute where the victim's feet were run over. It was later determined that an argument about the suspect's side view mirrors resulted in a verbal argument. Both parties had conflicting statements, but declined to press charges and the matter was resolved.

The individual never spoke to the student or chased after him and was at least 25 feet away at all times. The student felt the individual was seeking him out and hid until the individual walked away from the area.

The suspect was arrested for vandalism.

Employees stated the suspects concealed multiple health and beauty products in a backpack before leaving the store without paying. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects.
At 4:45PM, an officer responded to the area of Kent St and Aspinwall Av for a graffiti complaint. A mailbox, fire box and pole were spray painted during an unknown time frame.

Officers spoke to the individual who admitted to stealing jewelry from the business the day prior, but was now trying to return the item. The individual was summonsed for shoplifting.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that the suspect was claiming to be an employee of a car sharing service and was instructed to pick up a vehicle. At 8:00AM, officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a shoplifting. The suspect concealed an unknown amount of items in a bag and fled when confronted by an employee. Officers searched the area for the suspect, but were unable to locate them.
At 5:30PM, an officer responded to a residence on Alton Pl for a report of a stolen baby stroller. The victim reported that they left the stroller unattended in the courtyard for a couple hours. When they returned to retrieve the stroller it was no longer there.

The reporting party stated that his daughter was running around the park when she most likely spooked a dog, walking on leash. In response the dog bit the child. There was further information available as to the dog or its owner.

The victim reported the suspect drove up next to her in a vehicle and began shouting obscenities. A verbal exchange occurred and the suspect then threw loose change at the victim. After making the sale, the suspect and fellow accomplices struggled with the victim to wrestle his keys away. The suspects then stole all of the victims marijuana and additional products from the trunk of his vehicle. All suspects were identified and arrested.

At 10:25AM, an officer responded to the Lawton St Community Garden for destruction of property. Over the past few months, there have been several instances of items being taken from the garden or disturbed. Sometime over the past few days, garlic plants were dug up.

It was determined that the suspect filled a shopping cart with items and walked out of the store without paying. When confronted by staff, the suspect left the cart behind and fled the store. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Upon further investigation it was determined that the two suspects had broken into an apartment on Village Way multiple times over the course of several days. Both suspects were arrested for burglary.

At 1:00AM, an officer took a package theft report from a residence on Beacon Street. The package was stolen from an unlocked foyer sometime over a span of several days.
At 3:40PM, officers responded to Freeman Street for a package theft that just occurred. The reporting party stated a male and female took a package from the front porch of a residence and fled towards Commonwealth Avenue. Other officers located the two parties on Commonwealth Avenue where they were found in possession of the package. The two parties were summonsed for larceny.

At 3:30AM, officers responded to a gas station on Commonwealth Avenue for a party breaking the business' windows. Upon arrival, officers observed the suspect inside the store with windows broken, actively stealing items. The suspect refused to comply with the officer's commands and a brief foot chase occurred. The suspect was arrested a short distance away.
At 3:26AM, officers responded to a hotel on Boylston Street for a report of a stolen wallet with the suspect fleeing on Boylston Street. The suspect's vehicle was stopped a short distance away. Upon further investigation it was determined that the suspect had stolen the victim's wallet from his hotel room after being invited over to celebrate New Years. The suspect was arrested for larceny.
At 4:38PM, officers responded to a building on Beacon Street for a report of a fire. Upon arrival with the Brookline Fire Department, the fire was determined to be a minor boiler fire and was quickly extinguished.
At 11:00PM, an Uber driver was assaulted by a passenger he picked up on Beacon Street. The suspect reportedly smashed a beer can against the driver's head and fled when the driver said he was calling the police. The incident is under investigation.

Once on scene officers spoke with the manager who told police the following: The suspect entered the store carrying two empty shoulder bags, and proceeded to walk the cosmetics isles placing items into his bags. He then proceeded to exit the store where he was confronted by the manger. The suspect then fled the scene with the stolen merchandise. Police are investigating.

At approximately 5:00 PM a Brookline resident came into the station to report a package theft. The reporting party had received a notification that her package was delivered to her work at 12:20 PM. When she went to her work to retrieve the package around 5:00 PM it was missing. Police are investigating.

At approximately 7:00 AM officers were dispatched to Beacon Street for a report of a larceny from a vehicle that had just occurred. While police were en-route to the scene, the reporting party confronted the person near his car which caused the female suspect to flee the scene. The victim then gave an accurate description of the suspect and told police the direction of flight. Shortly after receiving the tip, police made contact with a person who matched the description who eventually admitted to stealing items. She was arrested for Breaking and Entering of a vehicle, Larceny from a building, and possession of a class A drug.

At approximately 10:40 PM Brookline PD dispatch received a radio call to assist the Massachusetts Department of Probation to serve and arrest warrant on a wanted felon. The suspect was wearing his court mandated GPS bracelet, which showed he was at home on Kent Street. The warrant was served without any further incident or charges. The suspect was booked on his warrants.

At approximately 11:30 AM Brookline Police received a report from a victim of a dog bite that happened on the day prior to the report. Once one scene officers spoke to the victim who told police that she was walking down Columbia Street when she passed a person walking their dog on a leash. As the dog crossed paths with the victim it jumped up and bit the victims arm. The dog was up to date on all its vaccinations, however it was subject to the mandatory 10 day precautionary quarantine and the owner was issued a citation for the bite.

Once on scene officers met with the victim who told police the following: The victim had put his belongings, including his wallet in a locker and left for a short time. When he returned they were missing. The victim then received and alert that his credit card had been used at a CVS in the area. Police are investigating.

The suspect was observed grabbing about 6 sweaters, then exiting the store without paying or the items. He then got into a waiting vehicle and fled the area. Police are investigating.

Once on scene officers met with the reporting party who told police the following: When she returned home from a friend’s house she went to her car when she noticed a large scratch in the shape of an "X" on her hood consistent with her car being keyed. Police are investigating.

At approximately 10:18 AM officers responded to a report of a stolen package on White Place. Once on scene officers met with a witness who told police the following: The witness watched the suspect run up to the doorstep of a residence and grab a package, then run back to a waiting car and get in the back seat. The car then fled the scene traveling the wrong way on White Place. After seeing this the witness took pictures of the car and showed them to police. A description of the vehicle was broadcast to police units in the area. A short time later an officer saw the vehicle fitting the description and initiated a traffic stop. After talking to police the suspect admitted to taking the package and he was placed under arrest.

At approximately 8:43 PM officers were dispatched to Harvard Street for a report of an assault that had just transpired. Once on scene officers met with the victim who told police the following: The suspect was an employee of the store and was finishing up her shift. Per company policy her bag was to be searched before she could leave the premises. During this search some items from the store were discovered and alleged to be stolen. The store employee pointed their findings out to the suspect. The suspect became angry and assaulted the manager and then ran out of the store. Police are investigating.

At approximately 12:15 PM officers were dispatched to Harvard Street for a report of a shoplifting. Officers began to canvas the area looking for the suspect. Police then noticed a man who fit the description of the suspect in the area. Officers attempted to make contact with him. The man noticed the officers and fled. As he ran away he threw a bag he was carrying. Police caught up with him and searched the bag which contained the stolen merchandise. He was then placed under arrest for shoplifting.

First on scene was an off duty Brookline Police officer who immediately began CPR on the bicyclist with assistance from two witnesses. The bicyclist was transported to the hospital where he remains in critical condition. Police are investigating.

At approximately 11:13 AM officers were dispatched to Commonwealth Avenue for a report of shoplifting. Once on scene officers met with loss prevention agents who gave police a description of the suspect. An officer saw a person matching the suspect’s description further down on Commonwealth Avenue and made contact with the suspect. After identifying him it was discovered that he had active warrants for his arrest. He was placed under arrest for his warrants and for shoplifting.

Once on scene officers met with the reporting party who told police the following: She locked her bicycle to a street sign on Linden Street on Wednesday (11/6), and when she went to retrieve it today (11/9), only the front tire was attached to the sign. Once on scene Officers met with the reporting party who told Police the following: At approximately 5:40 the reporting party was preparing dinner when she heard a loud "Bang" thinking that a tree had fallen onto the house she exited to house to investigate. After looking around the outside of the house they discovered the rear glass door of the house was smashed and some furniture had been moved around, but nothing was reported stolen. At 12:07 PM Officers were dispatched to Commonwealth Avenue for a report of a shoplifting. Once on scene Officers met with the loss prevention staff who told them the following. While in the store a loss prevention agent noticed an individual familiar to him for a past instance of shoplifting. After recognizing the suspect he watched him remove a coat off the rack, he then watched him put the coat on under his jacket in an attempt to conceal it and leave the store. Loss prevention confronted the suspect who admitted to attempted to steal the coat and agreed to wait for police. He was issued a citation for shoplifting and the items were returned.

At approximately 4:40 AM Officers were dispatched to Clinton Road for a report of a larceny from a car in progress. Once on scene Officers met with the reporting party who told Police the following: The reporting party was asleep in his bed when he was awoken by the sound of a car horn, after hearing this he looked outside to his driveway where he noticed the interior lights of his vehicle were on and the drivers side door was ajar. He then exited his home and shouted at the person which caused him to flee the scene. Other units in the area reported seeing this suspect and attempted to catch him unsuccessfully. Police are investigating.

At approximately 12:42 PM officers were dispatched to Beacon Street for a report of shoplifting. Once on scene officers met with an employee at the store who told police the following: The suspect entered the store around 12:30 PM and was wandering around, she then made her way to the phone accessories area where another costumer noticed her take something and place it into her pocket. After this she paid a phone bill and exited the store with the stolen item. Police used the phone number from her phone bill and were able to contact her and retrieve the stolen property and issue her a summons to court for shoplifting.

On November third there was three separate incidents of cars being broken and items stolen. Two of these incidents happened on Jamaica Road and one on Highland Avenue. All three of these incidents involved vehicles that were left unlocked. The thief targeted loose change, sunglasses and other small items. Police are investigating.

At approximately 9:15 AM while conducting traffic enforcement at the intersection of Parkway road and Netherlands road, officers observed a vehicle fail to stop at the posted stop sign. After seeing this, a traffic stop was initiated. After identifying the driver it was discovered that he had active warrants for his arrest. After he was placed in handcuffs a pill bottle was found in his pocket containing prescription pills that were not prescribed to him resulting in additional charges.

Once on scene officers met with the reporting party who told police that she and her roommate left the home and went out. When she returned later that night she discovered some of her items missing. She observed a window near her bed was opened and dirt was on her bed, indicating a potential point of entry. Police are investigating.

At approximately 12:57 PM officers were dispatched to Clyde Street for a larceny report. Once on scene officers met with the reporting party who told police that approximately 1:00 AM she returned home after a night out. Later, at 3:00 AM she left her home for a brief moment and failed to secure her door. She returned to the home and fell asleep. Later that morning she discovered her wallet missing and presumed stolen and called the police. Police are investigating.

He stated he left on Thursday, October 24th, and left his bike in his garage. When he returned home on the 26th at approximately 4:00 PM his bike was gone. Police are investigating.

At approximately 1:00 PM officers were dispatched to Commonwealth Avenue for a report of a shoplifting. Once on scene officers met with the manager of the store who told them the following. At approximately 12:58 PM the manager observed a male in the store take several razors and conceal them under his coat and leave the store. The responding officer sent his photo from security cameras to all active officers and the suspect was located be another officer. The stolen items were returned and the suspect will be summonsed to court for shoplifting.

At approximately 7:25 AM officers were dispatched to the area of Fairbanks Road and Beacon Street for a report of a man with a knife threatening people on the MBTA Green line trolley. Once on scene officers began to search the area for the suspect and saw a man who matched the description walking towards Washington Street. Officers made contact with the suspect asking him if he was on the train and if he had a knife. The suspect confirmed that he was on the train, and that the knife was in a bag he was carrying. The reporting party then positively identified the suspect and the suspect was placed under arrest.

At approximately 3:30 PM dispatch received a call from Mount Auburn Hospital for a report of a cat bite that had occurred on Pearl Street. After contacting the victim they told police the following: at approximately 10:00 AM the victim was working in the home of the cat’s owner when she accidentally stepped on the cat which caused the cat to react and bite her ankle. The cat was not up to date on vaccinations and will be quarantined for testing.

Once on scene officers met with the victim who told police the following: Approximately three days earlier, on the October 19th, the victim went to her car to retrieve her sunglasses. She noticed her personal items strew about the inside of the car and the center console was opened in the upright position. The only items she noticed missing was loose change from the center console. Initially she did not report the crime to the police. But after hearing about similar car breaks in the neighborhood she felt she should report it. Police are investigating.

At approximately 7:15 PM Officers responded to a report of an assault that just occurred in the area of 1773 Beacon Street. Once on scene officers met with the victim who told police the following: She stated that she had parked her car on Dean Road near Beacon Street and proceeded to cross the street. As she was approaching the church, she was shoved from behind and fell to the ground. The suspect then attempted to remove the victim’s backpack, while shouting racial insults and threatening further violence. The victim began to fight back, kicking and screaming which caused her attacker to flee. She then fled to the church and waited for police to arrive. The suspect is described as a middle age, black male, with a medium build, approximately six feet tall. Police are investigating.
