July 31^st-August 2^nd Police Reports

Assault

• Occurred 10:54AM (8/1) – Green St/Harvard St.

Victim reported having been struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk. Victim is in an elderly male. Victim was approached by the suspect and the two got into a dispute. Victim stated that he had been assaulted by the suspect and had sustained an injury. Witnesses reported having seen the altercation between the two individuals and the reported assault. Police took statements from both parties. The RMV check on suspect’s license came back suspended. Suspect was placed under arrest for Assault and battery with dangerous weapon, assault and battery on an elder person, operating after suspension, making a left turn where prohibited by sign, and failure to yield to pedestrian in crosswalk.

Attempted Sex Offense

• Occurred 9:44PM (8/2)
  

Victim reported that her boyfriend had arrived at her residence and had attempted to sexually assault her. Police interviewed the victim and she stated where the suspect lives. Police went to the suspect’s place of residence and he was interviewed. Suspect was placed under arrest for Assault with Intent to Rape.

Burglary

• Occurred 11:55PM (7/31) – 105 Browne St.

Victim stated that someone had entered her home through a rear window and stolen her laptop computer and jewelry. Victim stated that upon arrival, she observed that her window plant in the rear porch had been misplaced and her bedroom was left in disarray. Detectives will be processing the scene.

• Occurred between 11:00AM (7/31) and 2:00PM (7/31) – 338 Newton St.

Victim reported that someone had broken into his apartment and taken several pieces of jewelry. Victim stated that nothing else had been missing and no other property had been damaged. Detectives were on scene to process and photograph the apartment.

• Occurred 2:15AM (8/2) – 115 Greenough St.

Police responded to a silent alarm triggered at a local school. Upon arrival, officers discovered two minors inside the school. Officers took the minors to the station and contacted their parents. Officers informed both parties and their parents that a request of a follow-up by a juvenile officer will be made and a criminal complaint will be filed. Officer will be requesting a hearing for a B&E with Intent to Commit Misdemeanor (Trespass).

Flim-Flam

• Occurred 1:18PM (7/28) – Browne St.

Victim reported that during an apartment search, he was sending money to an individual whom he suspects is scamming him. Victim contacted police after realizing that he was continuously being asked for money and nothing more. Victim contacted his credit card company and stated the issue. Copies of the communication emails were submitted into evidence, as well as an overseas number.

Graffiti

• Occurred 10:17AM (8/1) – Beacon St/Lancaster Tr.

Police responded to a NSTAR electric box location due to graffiti marks. Police contacted NSTAR who will be removing the cover as soon they are able. Photos were taken of the scene.

• Occurred 4:19PM (8/1) – Washington St/Bartlett Cres.

Officer responded to a scene of a graffiti complaint. Upon arrival, officer observed graffiti marks on a sidewalk. Photos were taken and the DPW was contacted to have the marks removed.

Larceny

• Occurred between 5:15PM (8/1) and 5:20PM (8/1) – 170 Middlesex Rd.

Victim reported that her bag was taken from her front yard. She stated that also missing was a Credit Card. Victim stated that she had notified her bank of the theft.

Malicious Damage

• Occurred between 4:00AM (7/5) and 9:57AM (7/31) – 7 Timon Av.

Victim reported two incidents upon which he discovered a flat tire on his motor vehicle. Victim’s neighbor stated that she had observed another neighbor using an object against the tires one night. The suspected individual will be summoned to court and charged with Malicious Destruction of Property.

• Occurred between 10:00PM (7/30) and 9:00AM (7/31) – 192 Bonad Rd.

Victim reported that her right rear passenger door window of her car had been smashed by an unknown object overnight. Victim stated nothing had been missing from the car. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred 3:31PM (8/2) – 227 Babcock St.

Police responded to a call from the HRI Hospital in regards to damage and out of control behavior by a patient. A request has been made to summon patient on charge of Malicious Damage.

Robbery

• Occurred between 3:38PM (8/1) and 3:53PM (8/1) – 1381 Beacon St.

Victim reported that an individual was seen taking cash out of the store’s register. Victim stated that the suspect was a regular and on this particular day had been accompanied by another male. Victim stated that he had given chase to the suspect after the money was taken, but was unable to keep up. Victim stated that the form of payment was a credit card, but a cross reference surfaced that the name on the card didn’t match the individual who had produced it. The scene was processed and photos were taken. Suspect was located and placed under arrest for robbery (unarmed).

Suicide Attempt

• Occurred 3:34PM (7/31)

Officers responded to caller’s home in regards to a suicide letter that her husband had left. Area police departments and the MBTA police were placed on alert for the individual. After hours of searching, a witness at a Red Line stop reported having seen him sleeping on a bench. Police located the individual who had taken a great amount of pills. Individual’s wife was notified.

Police were called on scene for an individual who had consumed a great deal of pills in an attempt to overdose. Police will be keeping a periodic check of the individual and make sure that he won’t pose as a threat to himself.

Fraud

• Occurred between 6:10AM (7/15) and 6:20AM (7/15) – 173 Woodland Rd.

Victim reported that she had sent a check to a friend in London who had, stated through Facebook, that she had been a victim of an armed robbery. Victim stated that she learned that her friend’s Facebook account had been hacked into and the money she sent was to the impersonator. Victim has closed her account and cancelled the check she had sent. Police have requested a copy of the canceled check or the bank statement that lists the canceled check.

Larceny

• Occurred 3:00PM (7/29) – 97 Centre St.

Victim reported that an unknown suspect had unscrewed and stolen the storage rack that was affixed to his bicycle. Victim stated that he had secured his bike locked to the stair railing outside his building. Upon further investigation, victim found that his bike seat had been loosened and the rear break from the tire had been removed. Victim was advised to keep his bike indoors.

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

· Occurred between 10:45AM (7/27) and 6:30AM (7/28) – 365 Russett Rd.

Victim reported his passenger car door left ajar. Victim stated that his GPS was missing from his glove compartment, which had been left open. Also missing was change that had been left in the center console.

Burglary

· Occurred between 7:00PM (7/27) and 2:00PM (7/28) – 127 Naples Rd.

Victim reported that someone had broken into his garage and had attempted to steal his mountain bike. Victim had found the bike stuck in one of the garage door windows. It appeared that the suspect had gained access through a side window and was attempting to steal only the bike. Police are following up on the case.

Violation of Court Order

· Occurred 10:02AM (7/28) – Alton Pl.

Victim reported that she had been recently contacted through a series of emails from her ex-boyfriend. Victim stated that she currently had a restraining order against him. Suspect was placed under arrest for the violation of the restraining order.

Fraud

• Occurred 8:19AM (7/22) – 26 Greenough

Victim reported unfamiliar charges posted on her debit card account. Victim was advised to contact the credit companies. The companies, from who the purchases were made, will be investigating the charges.

Larceny

• Occurred 7:44PM (7/27) – 156 Boylston St.

Victim reported that not only was a bike of one of her children’s taken, but a second bike had parts that had been stolen off it. Victim states that upon further investigation she discovered a scooter missing as well. Victim had the bikes and scooter secured in the basement. Police will follow up on the case.

• Occurred 12:00AM (7/27) – 1717 Beacon St.

Victim reported that her purse was taken from a shopping cart. Victim asked the front desk at the supermarket if anyone had returned the purse and was told not at this time.

Assault

• Occurred between 2:44AM (7/23) and 3:00AM (7/23) – 227 Summit Av.

Police responded to a call in regards to an altercation between two males and a female yelling in distress. The female victim stated that the two men had gotten into a wrestling match. She had tried to stop the two but ended up falling and sustaining a head injury. A request for a hearing for assault and battery was filed for both men

• Occurred 10:27AM (7/25) – 1 Harvard St.

Police responded to a call by a parking enforcement officer who had been hit by a red jeep while on duty. Officer identified the operator of the red jeep as a black male with dreadlocks. The male suspect was identified and placed under arrest. The jeep was towed and the officer was transported to a local hospital. Suspect was cited for operating to endanger recklessly. Photos of the jeep and the damage caused from hitting the officer will be submitted into evidence.

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

• Occurred 12:42AM (7/23) – 60 Cramond Rd.

Victim reported having heard the sound of broken glass and a white male fleeing the scene. Victim went outside to investigate and found that the front passenger side window of her vehicle had been smashed. The only item missing was a gray leather handbag. Victim described the suspect as a white male in his late teens to early twenties, approximately 5’8”-5’10,” wore blue jeans, white t-shirt, a baseball hat, and carried a red bag. Detective will be processing the scene for prints.

• Occurred 5:00PM (7/22) and 7:56AM (7/23) – 178 Dudley St.

Victim reported that her car had been broken into. Upon investigation she discovered that two Tupperware containers had been removed, along with the money that had been within the containers. Police will follow up on the case.

• Occurred between 9:00PM (7/2) and 7:00AM (7/3) – 44 Beverly Rd.

Victim reported that his car had been broken into and his briefcase had been taken. A neighbor found the victim’s briefcase in the woods behinds her house.

• Occurred between 5:00PM (7/23) and 8:00AM (7/24) – 108 Naples Rd.

Victim reported that someone had smashed the rear passenger side window of her vehicle. She had canvassed her vehicle and discovered that a car seat and change from the center console were missing. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

• Occurred 8:00AM (7/25) and 8:00PM (7/25) – 755 Boyston St.

Victim had come to the police station to report that his room had been broken into. He stated among the items that were missing were: his laptop computer and guitar. Victim stated that he had locked his door well and there were no items missing from the other rooms in the apartment. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred between 8:30PM (7/24) and 7:51PM (7/26) – 22 Linden Pl.

Victim reported that her apartment had been broken into. Victim stated that her two laptops, a Nikon digital camera, and her jewelry were all missing. Entry had been gained through the rear glass window. The glass of the window had been left outside and was submitted for prints, as well as the jewelry boxes that had been touched.

Domestic Abuse

• Occurred 1:40AM (7/23) – 39 Irving St.

Victims reported having been assaulted by their son who was intoxicated at the time. The two female victims reported experiencing aggressive and belligerent behavior towards them. Their son was placed under arrest for a Domestic Assault and Battery. He will also be charged with three counts of Assault and Battery.

Fraud

• Occurred 11:20AM (7/24) – 1195 Boylston St.

Police responded to a CVS store where the manager stated that a black male had purchased a series of items with seven counterfeit five dollar bills. The manager stated that all bills had the same serial number and didn’t feel like normal currency. Both items will be submitted into evidence.

Larceny

• Occurred between 6:46PM (7/20) and 9:24AM (7/23) – 525 Harvard St.

A male individual was placed under arrest for theft at a local store. Police were informed that the suspect was a previous employee. Police took possession of suspect’s cell phone for evidence. Detectives are looking into identifying the female suspect involved within the conspiracy and larceny.

• Occurred 6:00PM (7/22) and 10:00AM (7/23) – 216 High St.

Victim reported that all four of his wheel covers had been stolen. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred 6:00PM (7/23) and 7:30(7/23) – 250 Harvard St.

Victim reported that her bike and its cable lock were missing from the parking meter they had been attached to. The bike will be entered into the NCIC system.

• Occurred between12:15AM (7/23) and 12:50AM (7/23) – Brookline Pl.

Victim reported that her purse had been stolen from the floor at her work desk. She was advised to call the credit card companies.

• Occurred 5:00PM (7/17) – 125 Browne St.

Victim reported that his bike had been stolen from a storage area. Attached to the bike was his school ID. The victim doesn’t know the serial or model numbers of his bike.

• Occurred between 8:15PM (7/24) and 9:00AM (7/25) – 29 Englewood Av. (Rear Lot)

Victim reported her moped missing from her parking spot. The moped was found in a corner with multiple scratches on the right and left sides. The ignition had been tampered with and the license plate was missing. The plate was later found in the grass and returned to the victim. Police advised victim to call her insurance company.

• Occurred 11:32AM (7/25) – 25 Harvard St.

A local shop owner contacted police in regards to a female who had stolen a few articles of clothing, but returned them once owner confronted her in the parking lot. Victim described the suspect as a white female 40-50 years old, blonde hair, light eyes, approximately 5’6,” wearing a pink tank top, and a tulip skirt. Police were able to locate the suspect and issue her a verbal no-trespass order. Suspect will be summoned to court for shoplifting.

• Occurred between 1:15PM (7/25) and 3:00PM (7/25) – 46 Meadowbrook Rd.

Victim reported that his bike was stolen from his garage. Moments after police had left, victim called back and stated the bike was in the garage and must have been overlooked.

• Occurred between 8:00AM (7/25) and 7:45PM (7/25) – Beacon St/Webster St.

Victim reported that her bike had been stolen from a public bicycle rack. She stated that she had secured and locked the bike well on the rack. Victim had found the bike lock cut. The bike lock used had held two bikes, one of which was left alone. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred between 5:30PM (7/25) and 9:30PM (7/25) – 24 Bowker St.

Victim reported that her bike was stolen off the porch of her house. The victim will attempt to locate serial number for the bike and notify police.

• Occurred between 4:00PM (7/25) and 6:39PM (7/26) – 16 Harrison St.

Victim reported that his daughter’s bike had been stolen from the fence it was locked to at a local school. Victim’s daughter stated how she had locked it well with a twist lock. Victim had observed the bike in the possession of a subject. The victim had followed the suspect and located the bike locked to a fence. The victim was able to unlock and retrieve the bike. Police were able to contact the individuals who lived at the house where the bike was locked.

Malicious Damage

• Occurred 8:00PM (7/19) and 5:01(7/23) – Winslow Rd/Babcock St.

Victim reported that the rear window of her vehicle had been broken in two places. Victim stated that nothing was missing from the vehicle. Victim was advised to call her insurance and the property management. Police will be following up on the case.

• Occurred 9:04AM (7/24) – 342 Harvard St.

A tenant of a local housing complex reported a broken window pane of the buildings front foyer. There is no evidence of an instrument that may have been used to cause the damage.

• Occurred between 12:26AM (7/10) and 8:00AM (7/24) – 73 Thatcher St.

Police responded to a call by a maintenance person of a local building. Subject stated that the rear door of the building’s roof had been damaged. He stated the door is always locked with a pad lock. Upon observation, the damage to the door and padlock was consistent with someone using force on the door. A walk on the roof revealed several empty alcoholic beverage cans and blue cups. The owner of the building was called on scene. The owner felt that the damage could have been done by tenants since a key is required to open the front and rear doors.

• Occurred between 4:00PM (7/24) and 10:00AM (7/25) – 99 Longwood Av.

Police responded to a call in regards to a crack in the windshield of the victim’s car. It's unknown whether the act was criminal or if the crack occurred unnoticed from routine driving.

Fraud

• Occurred 11:17AM (7/22) – 1577 Beacon St.

Victim reported receiving calls from his bank in regards to a series of fraudulent checks that had been issued in his company’s name and address. Victim stated that the checks didn’t have the characteristics of his company and they had the wrong account number listed upon them. Victim closed his account. Copies of the checks that had been used will be submitted into evidence. Police are following up on the case.

Graffiti

• Occurred 3:08PM (7/22) – 111 Harvard St.

Police observed graffiti on the wall located by the parking lot. Police will contact the property management to make them aware of the damage. Photos will be taken and placed into evidence.

• Occurred 3:10PM (7/22) – 229 Harvard St.

Police observed graffiti marks on a wall located on the corner of Sewall Ave. Police will locate the property’s management. Photos were taken for evidence.

Indecent Exposure

• Occurred 6:25PM (7/22) – Marion St/Park St.

Police responded to a local park in regards to a homeless man who was sitting naked on a bench. Suspect was surrounded by numerous empty bottles of alcohol. Police were made aware of a Default Warrant. Suspect was placed under arrest for the Default Warrant and Indecent Exposure.

Larceny

• Occurred between 2:30AM (7/22) and 2:00PM (7/22) – 167 Salisbury Rd.

Victim reported theft of planters from near their porch. Victim stated having seen an unidentified female who started apologizing for the male that was with her. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred between 6:00PM (7/21) and 1:50PM (7/22) – 32 Salisbury Rd.

Victim reported that her planter had been stolen off her front door railing. Police are following up on the case.

Malicious Damage

• Occurred between 4:00PM (7/21) and 1:00PM (7/22) – 1784 Beacon St.

Victim reported that his business partner had vandalized and maliciously damaged the space they were going to use to start up their enterprise. Victim reported a series of items that he reported to been missing. Victim stated that he had contacted his partner who stated having removed her name off the business certificate. The scene was processed and photographed. Police will be following up on the case.

Assault

• Occurred 11:46AM (7/21) – 387 Washington St.

A student from the local school reported that a former student had waived a gun at the whole group of kids. The student stated that the suspect said he had a gun and was looking for weed. Police located the suspect and discovered that the gun in his possession was a BB gun with a painted black tip as disguise. The suspect was placed under arrest for Assault by means of a Dangerous Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a BB gun, carrying a Weapon on Campus, and Disturbing the Peace.

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

• Occurred between 9:30PM (7/19) and 9:00AM (7/20) – 27 Ogden Rd.

Victim reported that her car had been broken into. Victim stated that the glove compartment had been left open and her son’s Nintendo DS system had been taken. Also missing was the carrying case for the system and all of the games. Police will follow up on the case.

Burglary

• Occurred between 2:00PM (7/21) and 7:30PM (7/21) – 769 Boylston St.

Victim reported having arrived home and finding the front door smashed open. Victim stated that the locking mechanism had been broken from the frame of the door and found in the hallway. Police are following up on the case.

Fraud

• Occurred 10:40AM (7/11) – 423 Walnut St.

Victim stated that she had posted items for sale on Craigslist that someone had contacted her for. The individual who had been interested had sent her a check that was greater then the amount expected. Victim was contacted by email to cash the check and send back the difference to a given address. Victim states that she did as instructed, but has yet to hear anything back from the individual.

• Occurred between 12:01AM (6/27) and 4:01 (7/10) – 14 Warwick Rd.

Victim reported a series of unknown charges that had been made through the use of her credit card. Victim states that she had contacted the locations at which the purchases were made but she got little cooperation. Police will follow up on the case.

Graffiti

• Occurred between 4:45PM (7/18) and 12:48AM (7/21) – 81 Green St.

Victim reported graffiti on the garage entrance of her home. Pictures were taken of the marks. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

• Occurred between 9:00PM (7/18) and 10:00AM (7/21) – 1281 W Rox Pk.

Victim reported that money had been stolen from her business safe. Victim stated that the safe could only be opened by a key that all her employees had access to. Police are in process of investigating the scene.

Malicious Damage

• Occurred 9:48AM (7/21) – 15 Stearns Rd.

A worker at a local resident building had called police after observing a damaged window. Police observed the damaged and estimated that the window had sustained damage consistent with that of a BB or pellet gun. Police are following up on the case

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

• Occurred between 9:00PM (7/19) and 6:00AM (7/20) – 72 Goodnough Rd.

Victim reported a break in of her vehicle that was parked in the driveway. There was no forced entry into the vehicle, but the left front driver’s side door was left slightly closed. Victim stated that she was missing her digital camera from the front passenger seat and an envelope containing money. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred between 2:30AM (7/20) and 8:30AM (7/20) – 143 St. Paul St

Victim reported that his vehicle had been broken into. Victim stated that the front driver’s-side window was smashed. Victim stated his laptop computer, cellphone, wallet, and a portable GPS unit had all been taken. Police are processing the vehicle for prints and have advised victim to cancel all missing credit cards.

• Occurred between 4:00PM (7/19) and 11:00AM (7/20) – 220 Wolcott Rd.

Victim reported that her vehicle had been broken into in her garage. Victim states that she found her left front drivers side door unlocked. Nothing was missing. Police advised victim and are following up on the case.

Fraud

• Occurred 12:01AM (4/1) and 12:50PM – 101 Monmouth St.

Victim reported a suspicious debt on her credit card report that she was not familiar with. The collection agency was not able to release useful information to the victim in regards to resolving the matter. Victim contacted the credit reporting bureau and a fraud alert was placed on her accounts. An ID Theft Affidavit was submitted and a report was filed with the police.

Graffiti

• Occurred between 5:00PM (7/17) and 9:00AM (7/20) – 67 Dummer St.

Victim reported graffiti on the front wall of his business. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

• Occurred between 12:30AM (7/17) and 5:00PM (7/17) – 97 Mason Tr.

Victim reported that his concert tickets had been stolen during shipping and being sold on Craigslist. Victim stated that he had ran his tracking number on the computer to see why there was a delay and had happened to run across the tickets being sold on the site. Victim’s neighbor recovered the envelope the tickets had been shipped in. The envelope will be submitted for fingerprint analysis.

*12:30AM – Driveway/Roadway between Star Market and 1731 Beacon St.*

In the early morning hours, there was an attempt to rape behind Star Market at 1717 Beacon St. A 37 year old female was assaulted by a skinny, black male, between 5’7”– 5’9”, 20-30 years of age, wearing only a Grey T-shirt. The victim successfully fought off the assailant by flailing her arms at him and screaming for area residents to “call the police – she needed help”!! The assailant stopped his assault and ran away. Police are investigating the case.

Assault

• Occurred 3:44PM (7/18) – 61 Egmont St.

An individual reported being a victim of assault and battery in Clark Park. Victim reported previous incidents that had taken place with the unidentified suspect. Victim described the series of events that led to his assault in the park. A suspect was identified, placed under arrest, and transported to the Police Station.

Graffiti

• Occurred between 8:00PM (7/16) and 8:00AM (7/17) – 1101 Boylston St.

Victim reports a great deal of graffiti on the fence in front of his house. The graffiti marks were in black and red spray paint. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred 3:05PM (7/18) – 9 Gibbs St.

Victim reported graffiti on the brick wall besides his driveway. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

• Occurred between 10:00PM (7/16) and 9:31AM (7/17) – 217 Kent St.

Victim reported her driver’s side window of her car having been smashed. Victim stated that her IPod and cigarette lighter power adapter were the only items missing. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred between 6:00PM (7/15) and 6:00AM (7/16) – 130 Bellingham Rd.

Victim reported that her wallet was missing from her car. Victim states that she was able to find the wallet in bushes near the library. Police were able to located missing credit cards and her license at the library as well. Victim will be canceling her credit cards.

Fraud

• Occurred between12:00AM (7/13) and 6:00PM (7/13) – 21 Hart St.

Victim reported receiving a call from her credit card company due to a series of charges they suspected were fraudulent. Victim closed her account. Victim will be filing a police report.

• Occurred between 11:18AM (6/24) and 11:18 (6/26) – James St.

Victim reported fraudulent charges made through her bank credit card. Victim cancelled her account. A copy of victim’s bank statement will be placed into evidence. Victim was advised to call the credit check agency.

Annoying and Accosting Sexually

• Occurred between 9:00AM (7/17) and 11:51AM (7/17) – Chesnut Hill Av/Beacon St.

Victim reported having been out on a walk with a child she takes care of. Victim stated that a white male grabbed himself on the outside of pants and then called out to her to get her attention. Victim states that the male was 6 foot tall, approximately 50 years of age, long face, long dark hair, black baseball hat, wearing a dark shirt, and camouflage pants. She was unable to provide a description of the second male. Detectives located the male and placed in protective custody due to his level of intoxication and was later booked.

Malicious Damage

• Occurred between 12:00PM (6/13) and 12:00PM (7/15) – Walnut St/Chestnut St.

An employee of the park department reported eight headstones that had been damaged in the Town of Brookline Cemetery. She stated that the headstones had been knocked off their bases and had landed on the ground. Police took several photos of the damaged stones.

• Occurred 2:56AM (7/18) – 1153 Beacon St.

Police noticed a parking meter had been dislodged from the ground and out in the roadway in a parking space. The meter had been tampered with and didn’t appear to be part of an accident. A short distance down the roadway another meter in the roadway but had its base/pole attached. The damaged meters were picked up by the Town of Brookline Highway Department.

• Occurred 3:48AM (7/18) – 78 Lagrange St.

Police responded to a call regarding a loud noise followed by two males yelling. The noise was due to three plastic fence slats that had been knocked to the ground. The caller was unable to give a description in regards to the two males that she observed running away. Police notified the property owner of the damage to the fence. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred between 7:00PM (7/17) and 9:00AM (7/18) – 81 Green St.

Police responded to a graffiti complaint. A building had been vandalized in two different locations with a tag on the entrance way and another on the driveway. The building owner/victim was advised to leave the tags until further notified, but stated that he was going to have them removed immediately.

Police responded to a call in regards to graffiti on both sides of the building. Police took photographs of the marks.

Larceny

• Occurred 2:48PM (7/17) – 525 Harvard St.

Police arrested two females, an adult and a juvenile, for shoplifting. The female juvenile was charged additionally with civil possession of marijuana.

• Occurred 3:07PM (7/18) – 730 Commonwealth Av.

Police responded to a call on a report of a shoplifter that had ended up fleeing the store before police arrived. Detectives were able to locate the suspect who started running as he saw the police. The store manager was brought to positively identify the shoplifter. Suspect was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

Victim reported that his bike was taken from the front porch of his residence. Victim stated that the three other bikes that had been next to his had been left alone. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported that his son’s bicycle had been taken from their community storage room. Victim states that the lock to the bike had been taken as well. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported a missing bracelet from her bathroom. Victim states that once a week she has a cleaning crew come to clean her residence. Victim had observed one of the females of the cleaning company within the bathroom from which, the bracelet was reportedly taken. Victim contacted the company’s manager in regards to the matter.

Burglary

• Occurred between 6:00AM (7/1) and 9:00PM (7/17) – 49 Alton Pl.

Victim reported that someone had broken into her mailbox and stolen a check. Victim stated that the mailbox appeared to have been forced open by possibly a screw driver. Victim had contacted the individual who had sent out the check once there was a delay in the time of arrival. The individual who sent the check told the victim that there was another incident involving an unknown wire transaction from their account. Police are following up on the case.

Possession Marijuana

• Occurred between 10:29PM (7/17) and 12:39AM (7/18) – 5 Walbridge St.

Police had observed suspicious activity occurring around the building at which the suspected individuals were parked. Police had previous knowledge of the area having a great deal of illegal activity. After an investigation was conducted, one suspect was arrested for a series of violations in regards to possession of marijuana and one suspect was issued a Civil Infraction for marijuana possession.

Victim reported that someone had broken into her vehicle and taken several items. All missing items have been noted within the report. Police are following up on the case.

Police responded to a call at an area restaurant where an employee had observed an individual tag the side exit door before driving off. The employee stated that there were two other individuals that had been present in the car. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported that her bicycle was taken from her backyard. Officer at the scene had been present due to a car break at the residence. While officer took report of the car break, the victim pointed out the missing bike. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred between 4:00PM (7/14) and 8:39AM (7/15) – 43 Somerset Rd.

Victim reported that her jog stroller was missing from her vehicle. She stated that she had locked the doors the previous day and discovered the missing stroller the next day. The vehicle had no signs of forced entry and no other item was missing. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred between 12:01AM (7/13) and 7:30AM (7/13) – 66 Beverly Rd.

Victim reported that his Mini Cooper was broken into. Victim states that the only thing missing was change. The vehicle was driven for several days after the incident occurred and could not be processed by detectives.

Victim reported that his vehicle had been broken into. Victim stated he found the glove box open and papers were scattered about. Upon further investigation, nothing had been taken.

• Occurred between 5:00PM (7/15) and 7:00PM (7/15) – 33 Pond Av.

Victim stated that his vehicle had been broken into and his GPS system had been taken. Victim’s driver side window of the vehicle had been smashed. Victim states that he had found an empty whisky bottle under the vehicle. The whisky bottle will be placed in evidence to be processed for prints.

Larceny

• Occurred 10:31AM (7/15) – 315 Harvard St.

Police responded to Citizens Bank where a female was suspected for passing a bad check. While on their way to the bank, police were notified that the suspect had fled from the bank. Police were informed that a series of counterfeit checks with great sums had been deposited into an account that originally held only a penny. Bank tellers had become suspicious after two large amounts were withdrawn. Female suspect was placed under arrest. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported that her bike had been stolen. Victim sated that she had secured the bike well around a cement pillar. Victim recovered only her severed bike lock. Police are following up on the case.

Warrant Default

• Occurred between 1:45AM (7/15) and 2:30AM (7/15) – 122 Pleasant St.

Police conducted a traffics stop of a vehicle where the registration was expired. The female operator didn’t have her license and a check on her status as a driver revealed that her license was suspended and she had a default warrant. The individual was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrant and issued a citation for operating after suspension. Her vehicle was towed due to expired/nonrenewable status. Vehicle’s owner will be summoned to court for allowing a person to operate his vehicle with a suspended license.

Victim reported that the contents of the glove compartment of her vehicle and the center consul were all over the front seat. Victim stated that she had left her vehicle unlocked. Police are following up on the case.

An employee of the summer school reported graffiti on the hallway wall. The employee stated that there were several markings on the board in the classroom as well. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported that her bike and chainlock had been stolen. Victim stated that she had secured the bike well, before having left it. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred 1:21(7/14) – 529 Harvard St.

Victim reported having observed a white male take a bottle of tea and placed it down his pants, while trying to pay for another beverage. Victim stated that he confronted the suspect, who set the tea on the counter and left the store. Suspect was placed under arrest for shoplifting. During a search of the suspect’s property, police recovered marijuana. The recovered property was seized and submitted into evidence.

Victim reported that a white male had exposed himself and lunged at her before he ran away. Victim stated that she was walking home, talking on her cell phone, when the incident occurred. Suspect is in his late 50's, wears large round glasses, has salt and pepper colored hair, flat shaped face, slightly rounded eyes, 5'-9"-5'11", and approximately 210lbs. Victim states that he had a gray hooded zip up sweatshirt, pants rolled up to his knees, and running sneakers. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported that he had received a letter from a collection agency stating that he owed a sum of money. Victim states that he called the collection agency to question the claim and was told that he had apparently opened an internet site under his name. Victim told the agency that he was not the individual they were in search of.

Victim reported of an ex-boyfriend showing up at her job and being verbally abusive. Victim stated that she felt threatened. Police are working on retrieving the surveillance video from victim’s place of employment. Victim reported of many other prior incidents that had taken place in which she had been threatened. A report was filed and a warrant for the alleged assault was requested.

• Occurred 3:45(7/11) – 227 Babcock St.

Victim reported of an Assault & Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon. Victim stated that his roommate was throwing furniture around and ended up throwing pieces of the bureau at him. Suspect reported that he was throwing furniture around because he was angry for not being allowed to leave. Suspect stated that he wanted to throw the furniture at the victim. Police placed suspect under arrest for Assault & Battery Dangerous Weapon.

• Occurred 2:01(7/12) – 201 Winchester St.

Victim reported that an unknown suspect was trying to pick a fight with her husband. Police tried to question the suspect but he was aggressive, argumentative, non compliant, and told officers he would kill them. Suspect tried to escape but fell and had a laceration on his chin. Suspect was taken to the hospital for the laceration and high level of intoxication. Suspect will be charged with Disorderly Conduct, Assault, and Resisting Arrest.

Victim reported having found the front two doors of his car having been left slightly open. Victim stated that the steering column was damaged and items from the glove box had been scattered on the floor and passenger seat of the car. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred between 6:00(7/9) and 10:00(7/10) – 221 Washington St.

Victim reported missing money from her store register. Also missing was a uniform t-shirt, and several flower arrangements. Victim stated that upon arrival to the shop she discovered that the key to the store was missing from underneath the doormat. Police are following up on the case.

Victims reported of an unidentified male in their kitchen as they had returned home. Victim reported missing a one hundred dollar bill from kitchen table. Police are following up on the case.

Fraud

Victim reported a Western Union transaction through which his daughter sent money to a friend using victim’s credit card. Victim states that the transaction details had been discussed through Facebook. Victim contacted the fraud division of his credit card and will notify Facebook of the security breach.

Graffiti

• Occurred between 1:15(7/11) and 2:38(7/11) – 27 Francis St.

While on patrol, officer noticed graffiti marks on the building of the Lawrence School. The marks had been made on the door and wall. Dispatch checked on any history or other reported incidents regarding the school.

Larceny

• Occurred 1:00(6/26) and 5:47(7/10) – 39 Linden St.

Victim reported of an unknown payment made from her account to a cable company she doesn’t have as her provider. Police have identified possible suspects and are following up on the case.

Victim reported that his baby stroller had been taken off the sidewalk in front of his home. Victim stated that the babysitter had forgotten to remove the stroller from the sidewalk. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported that his daughter’s bicycle had been stolen off the rear parking area of his home. Victim stated that the bike was not locked at the time it was stolen.

Victim reported that someone had entered her unlocked vehicle and taken her EMS backpack. Victim stated that the center console of the vehicle had also been rummaged through. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported that she had ordered tickers online that should have arrived in the mail. Victim stated that FedEx had delivered the tickets while they were not home. Victim states that the tickets must have been taken when they were left unattended at her front door. Victim will be filing a police report.

Victim reported that his vehicle had been broken into overnight. Victim states that, the next morning, he had observed the driver’s side door was not completely closed and secured. There was no indication of forced entry into the vehicle. After having gone through the vehicle, victim reported missing change. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reports of an unauthorized charge having been made on her Credit Card. Victim suspects her ex-boyfriend may have been the one to have used the card since he had used it once before. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported having received a call from Discover in regards to an address change on her credit card account. Victim states that she canceled the card because she never opened an account with Discover. Victim concerned that someone has her Social Security Number along with other personal information. Subject reported that his grandfather’s debit card and cash had been missing from his apartment. The account was closed. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported missing items from his apartment. Victim states that he had been on vacation for five months and suspects that one of the cleaners may have taken them. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported having place a depository envelope into the office’s lock-box. Victim stated that upon retrieval of the envelope, all the cash was missing. Victim reported three cases of eyeglasses were stolen from his unlocked vehicle. Victim reported that the cases contained twenty-five pairs of eyeglasses each. Police are following up on the case

• Occurred between 2:00(5/1) and 11:46(7/6) – 18 Alton Pl.

Victim reported being harassed by an ex-boyfriend. Victim reported that she had asked him to stop communicating with her but would not comply. Suspect refused to leave victim alone once police had advised him to do so. Suspect was placed under arrest after he was found breaking into victim’s apartment.

Burglary

• Occurred 11:46(7/6) – 18 Alton Pl.

Victim found an unknown white male in his daughter’s apartment. Victim reported that he had found the foyer door unlocked and when knocking on his daughter’s door, it had swung open. Maintenance worker reported having found a key in the lock of a rear door. Suspect was arrested and charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony.

Subject reported that his brother was missing a great deal of money from his bedroom dresser. Subject reported having known that the money was in a plastic bag when it was last seen. The victim had been advised to remove his property so that the apartment could be rented out, but having received no response the property was removed. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported having lost his cell phone. Victim reports that a construction worker, from the construction site across the street could possibly be in possession of his phone. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported his stolen license plate before having left out of town. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported that a bartender had mistakenly given her a credit card that was not hers. Victim stated that she had went back to the bartender who told her that he must have mistakenly given her debit card to someone else. Victim checked her account and found three unknown purchases that had been made in the course of the past few hours. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported identity theft once having been informed by her bank of a large sum of money that had been withdrawn from her account. Police are following up on the case.

Police were dispatched due to reports of a suspicious person in the area. Victim reported that the individual had exposed himself to her and a co-worker a week ago and was back again. Suspect was placed under arrest for Open and Gross Lewdness.

Victim reported being assaulted by an individual who she was mutual friends with. Victim reported that she had been in an argument with the suspect who had driven away with her car after having assaulted her. Victim located her car with the help of a friend. A stolen vehicle report was filed and a request was made to issue a warrant for suspect’s arrest.

• Occurred 2:18(7/4) – 70 Pearl St.

Police responded to a call regarding a dispute between three males. Police stopped a vehicle that held the two suspects described by the caller. Caller reported that she had observed the two male suspects involved in a physical altercation with a third party. Caller stated that the third individual had walked away after the altercation. The two were yelling random stuff at the passing third party while they were driving. The two suspects reported that they didn’t know who the third individual was. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported that his brown leather shoulder bag had been taken from his van. Victim reported that the bag contained his personal papers. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported that her passenger side window of her car had been smashed. Victim reported that her neighbor had called the police when having noticed the broken window. Victim stated that nothing had been taken from the vehicle. Police canvassed the area for other vehicles that may have been damaged.

Burglary

• Occurred between 6:30(7/4) and 2:20(7/5) – 64 Francis St.

Victim reported having returned home and finding her desktop computer and monitor missing. Victim didn’t notice any forced entry. Upon further investigation victim found that his laptop and hard drive were also missing. Police suspect that access may have been gained through the kitchen window. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred 11:20(7/2) - 1356 Beacon St.

Victim reported graffiti on the exterior wall of his building. Victim pointed out three separate spots that had been marked. Police are following up with the case.

Police were called to a Qdoba Restaurant for a report of graffiti by an employee. Victim reported that he had discovered the graffiti during his routine check of the building. Police were directed to the rear of the building where the graffiti had been found. Police are following up on the case.

Police reported to the home of an individual that reported she was a victim of an internet scam. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported of an individual having tried to do a change of address under his Bank of America account. Victim gave police the new intended address, from Georgia, for the account. Victim canceled his credit cards and changed his account information. Victim’s wife reported having her wallet being stolen few months ago. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported of a white female suspect that stole a sweater from his store. Victim reported that she had seen the female take the sweater and had asked her to return it once she had walked out. Suspect returned the sweater to the victim.

• Occurred 3:49(7/2) – 299 Harvard St.

Police were dispatched to a scene at Panera Bread where a victim reported her purse was missing. Victim stated that she had observed a man walk around her table twice before she noticed her purse was gone. Victim described the suspect as a black male with a green jacket and a baseball hat. A customer from the store reported having seen the black male sitting directly behind the victim and had been reaching down behind his chair where the purse was located. Police were given the security tape from the store. Police are following up on the case.

Victim noticed that his GPS device was missing when having arrived to work. Victim viewed the tape from the surveillance system in the store and saw that his delivery person had taken the device from his desk drawer. Police are in the process of retrieving the video footage.

• Occurred between 10:30(7/3) and 11:45(7/3) – 285 Harvard St.

Victim reported that her purse had been stolen while having coffee. Victim stated the she had placed the purse behind her. Customers in the store reported a suspicious black male that had been sitting behind the victim. Customers stated that the suspect had been moving to different tables without placing an order and then had left. Victim cancelled her credit cards. Police were made aware of a purchase that had been made at a gas station. Police are following up on the case.

Police received a call from a store that reported a black female having shoplifted a pair of jeans. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported his bike having been stolen from his driveway. Police are following up on the case.

Victim reported stolen vegetables from a given plot of land by the town. Victim reported having returned to harvest a few of her vegetable plants that she had been growing and noticed them missing. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred 5:30(7/5) – 302 Harvard St.

Police were called to a clothing store where the loss prevention employee had observed a suspect stealing a pair of socks. The employee took the suspect into his office and called the police. Suspect was placed under arrest for shoplifting and advised of a no trespass order for the store.

Malicious Damage

• Occurred 3:50(7/4) – 1024 Beacon St.

Police were called to a scene of a liquor store where a window had been broken. Store owner had been called on scene and reported that beer bottles from the display had been missing. A few of the display bottles had been shattered. Police are following up on the case.

Suspended License

• Occurred 9:47(7/4) – Davis Av/White Pl.

Suspect was stopped due to having come close to causing a collision with a police cruiser. Driver provided registration of the vehicle but was unable to provide a license. Police ran the New York license number that the driver provided and the result came back as suspended. Suspect was arrested fro not being duly licensed and failing to yield the right of way to oncoming vehicles.

Warrant

• Occurred 4:289(7/2) – 1322 Beacon St.

Police were dispatched to a site where a suspect had been recognized as a person who was responsible for a previous larceny. Police stopped the victim and informed him why he was being questioned. Suspect was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant.
