Police Reports 6/6-6/7

Robbery: Occurred on 6/6 at 4:10 PM- Beacon St.

Officers responded to Shaws on Beacon St. for the report of a robbery. The suspect was described as a white male in his 50's, 6'00 - 6'02" in height, 250-260 lbs, short buzz cut gray hair, gray scruffy facial hair, gray shirt, wearing shorts.

A customer service employee stated that the suspect handed her a note and demanded that she give him money from the cash register. At no time did the suspect display a weapon. When the employee refused, the suspect pushed her aside and grabbed the cash register drawer. The suspect left the drawer in the parking lot after removing cash. Witnesses stated that the suspect fled from the store and entered a silver Lexus. The owner of the vehicle stated that she was stopped at a red light on Beacon St. when the suspect got into her vehicle and told her to drive. The owner of the vehicle exited the car, and the suspect drove off traveling eastbound on Beacon St.

While canvassing the area for the suspect, officers discovered the vehicle at the Brookline Hills MBTA stop. The car was unoccupied and unlocked. The investigation into this case is still ongoing.

Larceny: Occurred on 6/6- Commonwealth Ave.

Three individuals reported larcenies from a locker room at a gym on Commonwealth Ave. Sometime between 6:27 PM and 8:45 PM, an unknown suspect entered the locker room and removed items from three unsecured lockers.

Arrest: Occurred on 6/6 at 7:14 PM- Harvard St.

A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that the registered owner had a suspended license. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Harvard St. The driver was confirmed to be the registered owner, and he was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

B&E Motor Vehicle: Occurred between 6/4 and 6/5- Coolidge St.

A Coolidge St. resident reported a past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that after talking with her neighbors, she realized that her car had been broken into between 6:00 PM on 6/4 and 12:00 PM on 6/5. The victim noticed that several bags had been removed from the vehicle. The car had been left unlocked in the victim’s driveway. The bags were located by an officer in the area of several other motor vehicle breaks in the immediate area.

Larceny: Occurred on 6/5- Davis Ave.

A Davis Ave. resident reported the larceny of a bicycle. The victim stated that sometime between 8:00 AM and 11:00 PM on 6/5, somebody took an unlocked bicycle off her front porch.

Arrest: Occurred on 6/7 at 11:24 AM- Beacon St.

A Brookline meter maid reported an assault on Beacon St. The victim stated that she asked a cab driver who was parked in front of a hotel on Beacon St. to move his vehicle up and to feed the meter. The cab driver became angry with the victim and pushed the driver’s side door into the meter maid. The door struck the meter maid, causing her to stumble backwards. The driver was placed under arrest for Assault and Battery.
