April 9th-11th

Arrest

Occurred 2:18AM (4/11) – Harvard St./Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a vehicle stuck on the MBTA train tracks. Upon arriving, officers identified the driver and discovered she had a revoked license. After further investigation, officers became concerned that the driver was intoxicated. The driver was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor, operating after revocation, and operating recklessly.

Occurred 7:17AM (4/11) – 100 Davis Ave.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. The driver presented officers with a Guatemalan license and was not licensed to operate a motor vehicle in Massachusetts. The driver was arrested for being not duly licensed.

Assault

Occurred 11:54PM (4/10) – Saint Paul St.

Police responded to a report of a person stabbed. Officers arrived on scene and observed two young males in the street, one of whom appeared to be bleeding. After further investigation, officers discovered that the stabbing was a result of three suspects not wanting to pay for marijuana. One suspect was located and arrested for attempted armed robbery and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily harm. Police also applied for an arrest warrant for another known suspect. The third suspect has yet to be fully identified. Police are following up on the case.

Suspicious Activity

Occurred between 6:14PM and 6:30PM (4/10) – Stedman St.

Police responded to a report of suspicious activity. The caller stated that her young son may have been picked up by a man in the park. Once her son stated that he did not want to go with him, the man put her son down and left. The man is described as white, 40’s, short blonde hair, wearing a t-shirt and jeans with a dragon print on one leg and flames on the other. Police are following up on the case.

Fraud

Occurred between 9:00AM and 2:13PM (4/9) – Longwood Ave.

Police responded to a report of internet fraud. The victim reported that he discovered the fraud when his parents called and asked why he was in London. There were numerous emails sent out under the victim’s name to friends and family stating that he was stuck in a London airport with no money or cell phone and in need of a large sum of money. All of the victim’s passwords were changed by the hacker as well. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 4:00PM (4/8) and 11:10AM (4/9) – Evans Rd.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny. The victim stated that he parked his car and when he returned in the morning, the interior of the vehicle had been disturbed. A GPS unit was missing from the vehicle. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 7:00PM and 8:48PM (4/11) – Kent St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny. The victim stated that her and her husband returned to their parked car to find the driver’s side window smashed. A GPS unit and a radar detector were stolen. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred 11:47AM (4/9) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter. The caller provided a complete description of the suspect. Officers responding observed a male who matched the description and upon confronting him, the suspect dropped a bag and took off running. After a chase, he was subsequently apprehended. The man was found with bottles of baby wash and lotion which were the items reported stolen. He was subsequently arrested for shoplifting.

Occurred between 11:30 (4/7) and 3:50AM (4/8) – Boylston St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that when he returned to his parked vehicle, he noticed his Blackberry cell phone was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 2:30AM and 3:00AM (4/11) – Fisher Ave.

Police responded to a report of larceny. The caller stated that both her roommates’ laptops had been stolen. The caller had invited some people into her room and went to change. After the people left, she realized the laptops were missing. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 11:00PM and 11:30PM (4/9) – Thatcher St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that her and her roommate’s laptops were missing. There was no sign of forced entry despite the front door being dead bolted. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 3:00PM and 4:28PM (4/10) – University Rd.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering in progress. Officers arrived to find the victims were restraining the suspect on the ground. The victims stated that they returned home to find a man in their apartment hallway. The man attempted to flee but the victims stopped him. The suspect then pulled out a knife and the victims restrained him. The suspect was arrested for armed assault in a dwelling, breaking and entering in the daytime w/ intent to commit a felony, 4 counts of assault and battery, receiving stolen property, larceny from a building, and assault by means of a dangerous weapon w/ a knife.
