February 20th Police Reports

February 20, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 2:15 AM Harvard St/ Commonwealth Ave.

A 23 yrs subject was arrested on a warrant.

While conducting a traffic stop at Harvard St. and Commonwealth Ave. The subject was identified as not wearing a seat belt sitting in the rear driver side seat. A subsequent check revealed two default warrants for her, issued out of Dorchester District Court

  • Occurred at 1:13 AM 1334 Beacon St.

A 27 yrs old subject, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license.

Police pulled the suspect over for driving with defective equipment. A License check revealed that the subjects license was suspended. The subject was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license.

  • Occurred at 11:31 AM 99 Park St.

A 32 yrs old subject, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery.

Police responded to reports of a fight in the basement of the nursing home. The suspect and the victim had gotten into a verbal discussion that became more and more aggressive, escalating into a physical fight. The subject was placed under arrest for domestic assault and battery

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8:00 AM and 10:09 AM 1657 Beacon St.

Victim report that the copper roof surround and flashing had been forcibly removed from the roof’s parapet, chimneys and pipes exposing the roof to water. The copper is valued at $6.00 per pound.

  • Occurred between 4:00 AM 2/17 and 9:30 2/20 1821 Beacon St.

Victim reports that his vehicle’s passenger side window had been smashed, but nothing seemed to be missing from the interior of the vehicle; however the vehicles hood was open, and both head lights had been removed.

Robbery

  • Occurred between 12:10 AM and 12:21 AM 94 Tappan St.

Victim reports that as she was walking down the street with her friend when the suspect approached from behind and asked them for their money. The man was holding a black-hand gun at his side and demanded money from them three times. The victim told the suspect that they did not have any money on them; he then turned and ran toward Greenough St. The victim described the suspect as a black male, 6’ tall with a medium build, wearing a black or dark blue hooded sweatshirt, and had a white bandanna covering his face.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 8:30 PM 2/19 and 8:01 2/20 1835 Beacon St.

Victim reports that she came out to her vehicle in the morning and noticed that someone had stolen all four of its factory wheels. The driver’s side window was also smashed, the trunk was also left ajar and the cars frame was resting on its spare tire.
