November 5th Police Reports

Larceny

  • Occurred between 5PM (11/04) and 9:26AM (11/05)- 152 Gerry Road

Victim reported that sometime overnight a suspect smashed her front driver side window and took her GPS navigation device valued at 500 from the dashboard.

  • Occurred between 5:45PM and 6:10PM (11/05)- 129 Fisher Ave

A student at Newbury College reported that he left his cell phone in the dining hall and when he returned to claim his phone he discovered it missing. The phone is valued at $350.

  • Occurred between 5PM and 7PM (11/05)- 1330 Beacon Street

Victim reported that sometime during the day her keys and glasses case containing $40 cash were taken from her office.

Fraud

  • Occurred between 6:47PM (9/05) and 6:47PM (9/24)- 45 Longwood Ave

Victim reported that someone had fraudulently used her Toys R US account to charge $164.81 worth of goods.

November 4th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred between 1:29AM and 2:05AM (11/04)- 50 Longwood Avenue/ St Paul Street

Lori Hynes, 23 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating while Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor.

Victim reported that while driving his taxi he was hit by a dark colored SUV which kept going without stopping to exchange papers. The Taxi Driver was able to follow the vehicle on Longwood Avenue. Police witnessed the damage to the Taxi, and upon questioning the driver of the SUV officers determined her to be under the influence of alcohol. However further investigation revealed the taxi drivers license was suspended. He was issued a summons for Operating after License Suspension.

  • Occurred at 9:06PM (11/04)- 519 Washington Street

A juvenile suspect was arrested and charged with Possession of Burglarious Tools, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana), and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

Victim reported to police that his vehicles window had been smashed and his XM radio and $100 in change were missing from the interior. A neighbor of the victim reported hearing a loud bang and seeing a suspect described as a young white male wearing a black sweatshirt with dark pants and carrying a backpack fleeing from the scene. Police found a suspect matching that description a short distance away and after being given permission to search the suspects backpack police discovered an illegal double edged butterfly knife, a thermos containing what is believed to be alcohol, and a green leafy substance believed to be Marijuana. In addition police discovered a screwdriver in the juvenile’s pocket. The suspect was subsequently arrested.

Loud Party

  • Occurred at 12:34AM (11/4)- 76 Egmont Street

Police responded to a complaint of a loud party and upon arrival witnessed empty beer cans and red cups strewn throughout the apartment. Further investigation revealed several guests were still inside the party they were all identified and sent of their way. The hostess of the party, a Bu student will be summonsed to court for Disturbing the Peace and Furnishing Alcohol to Persons under 21.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 10AM (10/27) and 3:50AM (11/04)- 20 St Paul Street

Victim reported his vehicles window had been smashed and about $2.00 in change was taken from the interior.

Fraud

  • Occurred between *AM (10/29) and 8AM (10/30)- Corey Street

Victim reported receiving a call from his bank that several unusual purchases had been made on his card. The fraudulent charges totaled over $1000 and this case is still under investigation.

November 3rd Police Reports

Loud Party

  • Occurred at 1:33AM (11/03) - 66 Egmont Street

Police responded to a call of a loud party and after meeting with the underage residents of the apartment observed a large number of empty beer cans and spilled beer. When police entered the apartment they discovered two cases of beer in the refrigerator as well as a funnel used to consume mass quantities of alcohol. The residents, both students at Boston University will be summonsed into court for Disturbing the Peace and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

November 2nd Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 4:45PM (11/2)- Longwood Avenue/Harvard Street

Shara Brummit, 22 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating while Under the Influence of Drugs, Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana), and other Traffic Offenses.

Police on patrol approached a vehicle which was sitting in the middle of an intersection blocking the flow of traffic. While approaching the vehicle police witnessed the driver smoking what appeared to be a cigarette. However, when the suspect rolled down her window officers smelled a strong odor of Marijuana. The woman admitted to smoking and turned over a bag of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. The woman was subsequently arrested.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 6PM (10/31)-1352 Beacon Street

Victim reported that while shopping at Party favors she noticed her purse, valued at $300 missing from her cart. The purse contained $100 cash, as well as various identification and bank cards.

  • Occurred between 8:30PM and 11:58PM (11/2)- 23 Warwick Road

Victim reported that sometime during the evening his vehicles front passenger window had been smashed and his GPS navigation system valued at 419.99 was taken from the interior.

November 1st Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 1:05PM (11/01) - 1103 Beacon Street

Melissa Mejia, 23 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating after Suspension, and other various vehicular violations.

Police on patrol witnessed a vehicle traveling without a front license plate, an after stopping the vehicle further inspection revealed the woman had an expired registration sticker, as well as a suspended license, the woman was subsequently arrested.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8PM (10/31) and 9AM (11/01) - 35 Milton Road

Victim reported that sometime over night a suspect gained entry into his unlocked vehicle and took $10 in loose change, and a Sony stereo remote control valued at $100 from inside.

Robbery

  • Occurred between 9:30PM and 10PM (10/17)- 22 Chestnut Place

Victim reported being previously robbed by a black male suspect who was yielding a dark handgun. The man made off with an undisclosed amount of cash as well as the victim’s purse. The suspect was last seen wearing a hoodie sweatshirt.

October 31st Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 1:14PM (10/31)- 25 Longwood Ave

Angel Montes, 71 yrs, was arrested and charged with larceny.

While on patrol detectives observed a suspect later identified as Angel Montes acting suspiciously while switching items between two bags in an alleyway. When officers approached the man to inquire about his actions Montes dropped both bags he was carrying and started to flee. Police checked the bags and found that they contained a large quantity of over the counter pain medication. Police contacted a local CVS and discovered the items, totaling $343.89 in loss, had been recently stolen from CVS. Montes was subsequently arrested.

  • Occurred at 2:47AM (11/1)- Harvard Street/ Pierce Street

Slavisa Dincik, 32 yrs, was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery and Disorderly Conduct.

Police arrived outside Matt Murphy’s Pub and witnessed a group of males wrestling on the sidewalk. Police started questioning suspects and one suspect later identified as Slavisa Dincik fled the scene while being questioned. Police found Dincik a short time later and he was subsequently arrested.

  • Occurred at 11:19PM (10/31)- Washington Street/ Greenough Street

An operator was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquors and other various traffic offenses.

While an officer was on his way to the station he was passed by a vehicle bearing flashing blue lights in its front and rear, these lights were acting quite similar to a siren. The vehicle traveled over the double yellow line to pass vehicles and was also speeding.

Summons

  • Occurred at 10:15PM (10/31)- 335 Harvard Street

A Brookline High School Student will be summonsed to court for Minor in Possession of Alcohol and Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana). Police responded to a call of kids throwing eggs and upon arrival discovered the juvenile suspect who consented to a search of his backpack which contained several full cans of beer, a bag of a green leafy substance believed to be Marijuana in addition to a glass pipe and Marijuana grinder.

Assault

  • Occurred between 8:40PM and 8:53PM (10/31)- 209 Aspinwall Avenue

Victim reported that while walking to the front steps of his apartment building he was approached by two white males both wearing hooded sweatshirts with bandanas covering their faces, the two men assaulted the victim by repeatedly punching and kicking him then fled towards Kent Street. Police canvassed the area for suspects but were unable to find the men; this case is still under investigation
