April 1st Police reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 3:30 (4/1) – Newton St

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving without a license. The operator was arrested.

Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 6:00PM(4/1) and 6:20AM(4/2) – 77 Colchester St

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle the front driver side window had been smashed and the GPS was missing. The GPS had been mounted on the windshield. Detectives are following up on this case.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 12:00AM and 9:00AM(3/31) – 145 Sargent Rd

Victim reports that their lawn ornaments had been taken. The lawn ornaments were plastic, life-size coyotes.

  • Occurred between 2:00PM(3/26) and 11:55(3/30) – Harvard St

Victim reports that they left their bicycle locked to a sign and when they returned the bike was missing.

Robbery

  • Occurred at 11:18PM(4/1) – Washington St / Juniper St

Victim reports that a suspect came up to them, pulled out a knife, and told the victim to empty their pant pockets. The suspect took the victim’s cash and a prescription bottle then fled the scene. The victim describes the suspect as an olive skinned Hispanic male, approximately 5’11” and a thin build. Police are following up on this case.

March 31st Police Reports

Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 12:30PM and 2:30PM(3/31) – St Paul St/ Commonwealth Ave

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle the front passenger window had been smashed in and the GPS and laptop were missing. The GPS was mounted on the dashboard and the laptop was stored in between the two front seats. Detectives are following up on this case.

Larceny

  • Reported at 12:00PM(3/31) – 20 John St

Victim reports that two bikes were stolen from under the stairs of their apartment building. The bikes were not secured.

  • Occurred at 1:47PM(3/31) – 900 Commonwealth Ave

Victim reports that the security officers of their store caught a suspect taking several items without paying for them. Police arrested the suspect.

  • Occurred between 7:45PM and 8:35PM(3/31) – 920 Commonwealth Ave

Victim reports that upon returning to their locker, their wallet containing credit cards, identification, and cash was missing. Detectives are following up on this case.

  • Occurred at 9:00PM(3/31) - 155 Harvard St

Victim reports that the suspect left the store without paying for their items. Police were able to find and arrest the suspect.

March 26th- 31st Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 10:08AM(3/26) – Hammond St/ Laurel Rd

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving without a license. The operator was arrested.

  • Occurred at 6:00PM(3/28) – 1576 Beacon St

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving after their license had been suspended. The operator was arrested.

  • Occurred at 2:20AM(3/29) – Washington St/ White Pl

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving under the influence of alcohol. The operator was arrested.

Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 2:30PM(3/24) and 10:00AM(3/25) – 76 Fenwood Rd

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle, two briefcases were taken from the car. There were no signs of forced entry.

  • Occurred between 4:00PM(3/28) and 7:00AM(3/30) – 207 Freeman St

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle, a pair of boots were missing. There were no signs of forced entry.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 8:00AM and 9:30PM(3/27) – 1694 Beacon St

Victim reports that upon returning to their apartment a laptop, digital camera and cash was missing. Detectives are following up on this case.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 12:08PM(3/26) – 284 Harvard St

Victim reports that the suspect left the store without paying for an item. Police were able to find and arrest the suspect.

  • Occurred between 12:40PM and 1:00PM(3/26) – 1620 Beacon St

Victim reports that a suspect left the store after buying one item and not paying for another. Police are following up on this case.

March 25th Police Reports

Larceny

  • Occurred between 11:59PM(3/16) and 8:00AM(3/17) – 1414 Beacon St

Victim reports that someone took the surveillance system out of their store. It also appeared that the suspect tried to get into the safe. Police will be following up on this case.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 7:00PM and 8:15PM(3/25) – 53 Willard Rd

Victim reports that they left their wallet on a table inside their home unattended, when they returned downstairs the wallet was missing. The police found the wallet in the back yard with all its contents dumped out. The only thing missing was the cash. Police are following up on this case.

  • Occurred between 8:00PM and 8:30PM(3/25) – 250 Dean Rd

Victims report that they left their briefcases in the kitchen unattended. When they returned to the kitchen the briefcases were missing. The victims were able to locate the briefcases in the bushes, nothing was missing from them. Police are following up on this case.

  • Occurred between 7:45PM and 8:45PM(3/25) – 1285 Beacon St

Victim reports that upon returning to their car the from passenger window had been smashed. A bag containing a laptop and other item had been taken. Police are following up on this report.

The victim reports that their vehicle was missing when they returned to the parking lot. A report was filed with the police and it was suggested that a report be filed with the insurance company.

The victim reports that their vehicle was missing when they returned to the parking lot. A report was filed with the police and it was suggested that a report be filed with the insurance company.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8:00AM and 5:00PM(3/24) – 281 Tappan St

Victim reports that upon returning their apartment a laptop and some cash was missing. Detectives are following up on this case.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 11:00AM(3/20 and 1:00PM(3/21) – 37 Corey Rd

Victim reports that their lawn light had been destroyed overnight. Police believe this act was random.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 12:00PM and 5:00PM(3/12) – 52 Kent St

Victim reports that a package containing Red Sox tickets were taken out of the common area of their building after being delivered by FedEx.

Burglary

  • Reported at 10:59PM(3/23) – 210 Chestnut St

Victim reports that when they returned to their apartment the front door was closed but unlocked. The victim states that they locked the door when leaving earlier in the day. Nothing appeared to be missing and there were no signs of forced entry.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 11:42PM(3/20) – Washington St/ Fairbanks St

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving under the influence of alcohol. The operator was arrested.

  • Occurred at 4:43AM(3/21) – Boylston St/ Reservoir Rd

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving after their license had been suspended. The operator was arrested.

  • Occurred at 2:10AM(3/23) – Pleasant St/ Egmont St

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving under the influence of alcohol. The operator was arrest.

Malicious Damage

  • Reported at 11:51AM(3/20) – 1 Brookline Pl East

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle there was a large scratch on the rear passenger door. Police are following up with this case.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 10:41PM(3/20) – 1324 Beacon St

Victim reports that the suspect left the store without paying for their items. Police were able to find and arrest the suspect.

  • Occurred between 8:20AM and 9:30AM(3/19) – 115 Greenough St

Victim reports that they left their purse in their classroom, upon returning to their purse the cash was missing. Police are following up on this case.

  • Occurred at 2:20PM(3/22) – 400 Washington St

Victim reports that the suspect took several items without paying for them. The victim was able to provide police with a security camera photo of the suspect. The suspect was not found at this time. Police are following up on this case.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 12:00PM and 11:35PM(3/21) – 94 Beaconsfield Rd

Victim reports that upon returning to their apartment the door had been pried open. Nothing appeared to be missing. Police are following up on this case.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 7:00PM(3/18) and 10:14AM(3/18) – 51 Holland Rd

Victim reports that when going out to collect their garbage cans they had “MGK” sprayed on the side of them. Police are following up on this investigation.

Suspicious Person

  • Occurred between 5:42PM(3/15) and 6:02PM(3/15) – 1334 Beacon St

Victim reports that there was a suspicious person in the store. Later it was noticed a package containing a cell phone was cut open with a razor blade. Nothing was taken out of the package.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 8:18PM(3/19) – Brookline Ave/ Aspinwall Ave

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving under the influence of alcohol. The operator was arrested.

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle the front passenger window had been smashed. The GPS and a bag containing clothing had been taken. Detectives are following up on this case.

Victim reports that the suspect left the store without paying for their items. The police were able to find and arrest the suspect.

Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 4:30PM and 5:50PM(3/18) – 58 Monmouth St

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle the rear passenger door was smashed. A green backpack containing a laptop and an iPod were missing.

March 17th Police Reports

Larceny

  • Occurred between 12:00PM(3/1) and 12:00PM(3/17) – A resident of the town

Victim reports that a charity collector came to the door asking for money. The victim wrote the suspect a check for $72. On March 17th the victim received a phone call from a bank in New York, stating that this same check was cashed and cleared for $23,000. A copy of the check was obtained and the handwriting was not the victims.

We would like you the community to exercise caution when using your checks. There are instances such as the one above, but there are also other ways of drowning out your account using the routing number, account number, your address and name. Please exercise caution to who you are issuing your checks to.

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving after their license had been suspended. The operator was arrested.

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving after their license had been suspended. The operator was arrested.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 8:11AM(3/16) - 445 Harvard St

Victim reports that the suspect fled the scene without paying for their car inspection. The suspect will be summonsed to court.

  • Occurred between 3:00PM and 5:30PM(3/16) – 60 Tappan St

Victim reports that their cash and cell phone was taken out of an unlocked locker. The victim was advised to cancel their cell phone account.

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle the front passenger window had been smashed. The GPS that was on the dashboard had been stolen.

Victim reports that their bicycle was stolen from the courtyard of their building. The bike was not locked at that time.

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving without a license. The operator was arrested.

  • Occurred between 5:00PM(3/8) and 7:30AM(3/10) – 12 Linden St

Victim reports that upon returning to their car the rear window had been smashed. The window did not break all the way, only bits and pieces were missing; no entry was made into the vehicle.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 10:20AM and 11:55Am(3/10) – 299 Harvard St

Victim reports that their bag was taken off the back of their chair. The victim was advised to cancel their credit cards. Detectives are following up on this case.

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving without a license. The operator was arrested.

  • Occurred between 8:00AM and 4:00PM(3/9) – 50 Thayer St

Victim reports that upon returning to their car, the license plate had been taken from it.

  • Occurred between 1:30PM and 4:45PM(3/9) – 285 Harvard St

Victim reports that their purse was taken from the chair that they were sitting on. It was advised the victim cancel their credit cards, and deactivate their cell phone. Detectives are following up on this case.

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving after their license had been suspended. The operator was arrested.

Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 6:30PM(3/5) and 7:48AM(3/6) – 220 Gerry Rd

The victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle the hood was ajar and the battery had been stolen. The suspect gained access through the front driver side door by prying open the door enough to unlock the lock.

  • Occurred between 4:00PM(3/5) and 7:00AM(3/6) – 15 Gerry Rd

The victim reports that upon returning to the car, it would not start because the battery had been stolen. It is unclear how the suspect gained entrance to the vehicle.

  • Occurred between 7:30PM and 7:50PM(3/6) – 1717 Beacon St

The victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle a bag containing a laptop, iPod and other items was missing. There were no signs of forced entry. Detectives are following up on this case.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 2:30PM(3/6) – 146 Harvard St

Victims report that their wallet and backpack was missing and that they had caught the suspect on tape taking these items. The police were able to identify, locate and arrest the suspect. Some of the items that had been stolen were found.

  • Occurred between 7:00PM and 8:00PM(3/6) – 1383 Beacon St

Victim reports that their wallet was stolen out of their coat pocket which was resting on the back of their chair. The victim was advised to cancel their credit cards.

  • Occurred between 12:30PM and 12:46PM(3/7) – 31 Pleasant St

Victim reports that their purse was stolen. The victim had placed the purse right next to the chair they were sitting in. The victim was advised to cancel their credit cards.

  • Occurred at 6:50PM(3/7) – Harvard St/ Webster St

Victim reports that the suspect fled the store without paying for the items. Detectives are following up on this case.

March 5th Police Reports

Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 7:00PM(3/4) and 7:00AM(3/5) – 33 Leland Rd

Victim reports that upon returning to their car the front bumper was stolen off of it. The radio was also stolen. There were no signs of forced entry.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 9:30AM and 12:00PM(3/5) – 920 Commonwealth Ave

Victim reports that their wallet was taken from their locker at the gym. The wallet contained several credit cards and a license. The victim was advised to contact their credit card company.

  • Occurred between 3:15PM and 3:30PM(3/5) – 115 Greenough St

Victim reports that they put down a black leather case containing an iPod and two debit cards. A witness said that they saw some other kids in the area of the case and would be able to identify them if they were to see them again.

  • Occurred between 12:00PM(2/26) and 3:54(3/5) – 36 Browne St

Victim reports that many items were taken out of a storage locker in the basement of their building. These items were building supplies and it is believed that the management company may have thrown out some of these items. Detectives are following up on this case.

March 4th Police Report

Assault

  • Occurred at 1:37AM(3/5) – 1648 Beacon St

Victim reports that the suspect got up started walking towards the exit when he grabbed the victim pushed him to the ground and started punching the victim. The victim reports that he did not know the suspect and that the attack was random. The suspect fled the scene shortly after. Detectives are following up on this case.

March 3rd Police Reports

Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 4:00Pm(3/2) and 8:30AM(3/3) – 1200 Beacon St

Victim reports that upon returning to their car the front passenger window had been smashed in. The GPS, which was mounted on the windshield, had been taken.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 5:35PM (3/3) – 312 Harvard St

Victim reports that their wallet was taken out of their bag and the suspect then fled the scene. The suspect has been described as a black male in his late 20’s, wearing baggy jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt and carrying a small backpack. The victim has been advised to call her credit card companies. Detectives are following up on this case.

  • Reported at 5:37PM(3/3) – 20 Webster St

Victim reports that their wallet was taken from their purse in a waiting area. The victim was advised to contact their bank.

March 2nd Police reports

Larceny

  • Occurred between 1:00PM and 1:48PM(3/2) – 410 Harvard St

Victim reports that 6 suspects walked into the store and while the victim was in the back room the suspects took the iPhone that was on the cabinet and fled the store. The victim described the suspects as white males, all wearing fedora hats. One of the suspects was older, approximately in his 60’s and the other 5 were in their 20’s. A witness from another store stated that they also went into their store asking for charity. Police are following up on this case.
