March 5th Police Reports

March 5, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 12:20 AM 1863 Beacon St.

Justin Levine, 38 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor.

After being pulled over for a traffic violation, police placed Mr. Levine under arrest for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 8:46 AM 205 Beverly Rd.

Victim reports that two weeks ago he left his Ipod in his unlocked school locker. At that time he noticed it missing and reported it to the Principal, who notified police.

March 4th Police Reports

March 4, 2008

Robbery

  • Occurred at 10:35 PM Winchester St.

Police responded to reports of an attempted armed robbery. The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic male, mid 20’s, 5’5 in height, wearing dark pants, and a dark colored waist length rain jacket with a hood.

The victim states that she was walking from the T stop when a man approached her from behind, the suspect used the corner of his jacket to cover his face, kept his right hand in his pocket and demanded money from her. She showed him that she did not have any money. The suspect was last seen on the corner of Fuller St. and Winchester St. No weapon was shown, but the suspect hinted that he had one in his pocket

Larceny

  • Occurred between 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM 115 Greenough St.

Police responded to the Schluntz Gymnasium where a detail officer reported that several items had been stolen from the locker room. Several victims reported that items had been stolen from the locker room. The items range from cell phones and MP3 players to sneakers and jackets.

March 3, 2008

Graffiti

· Occurred at 2:36 PM 3 Strathmore Rd.

Police responded to reports of tagging. Officers observed two tags in white spray paint in the ally between 1 and 3 Strathmore Rd. The two tags were done in bubble letter type. Both of the tags were photographed and will be removed after investigation.

Fraud

· Occurred at 7:05 PM

Victim reports that someone had stolen her wallet and used one of her bank cards to make fraudulent charges.

February 29th-March 2nd Police Reports

February 29, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 10:23 PM Pleasant St. / Dummer St.

Sean Doyle, 21 yrs, was arrested on a default warrant.

Officers observed Mr. Doyle in the back of a passing vehicle and believed he had a warrant for his arrest. Police were able to confirm this and placed Mr. Doyle under arrest.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM 175 Freeman St.

Victim reported the theft of a new video recorder which would control the building’s surveillance cameras from the front desk of the building.

March 1, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred between 2:50 AM and 3:30 AM 150 Summit Ave.

Jonathan Lopez, 26 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving without a license.

Police observed a vehicle with an expired registration sticker. The suspect was asked for his license, but was only able to produce a Massachusetts ID card. Mr. Lopez was placed under arrest for driving with a license.

  • Occurred at 10:30 AM 25 Bartlett Crescent.

Marcelo Santos, 27 yrs, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Police responded to reports of someone plowing snow from private property onto the street. When police arrived they asked the suspect for his license, which Mr. Santos did not have. Police placed Mr. Santos under arrest for not being duly licensed.


March 2, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred between 3:52 AM and 4:15 AM 1644 Beacon St.

Shauna Akins, 21 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving with an expired license.

Police observed a motor vehicle with an expired registration sticker. After stopping the motor vehicle the operator was found to have an expired license. Ms. Akins was placed under arrest for not being duly licensed.

  • Occurred at 7:41 PM 1888 Beacon St.

James Ahern, 22 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license.

Officers conducted a computer check on a vehicle and discovered the owner’s license was currently suspended. Mr. Ahern was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license.


Larceny


  • Occurred at 1:35 PM 1361 Beacon St.

Victim reports that while she was attending a workshop her wallet was taken from her purse, which was hung over her chair.

February 28th Police Reports

February 27, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred between 4:30 PM and 5:23 PM 10 Brookline Pl.

Ramon Soto, 31 yrs, was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

Jason Lydon, 25 yrs, was arrested and charged with disorderly person.

Police while on patrol noticed the suspect acting suspicious and carrying an empty brown paper bag under his arm. An officer observed the man enter a couple of stores, pick up a few items, but then exit the store with out purchasing any items. After exiting one of the stores officers noticed that the empty bag that Mr. Soto had been carrying seemed to have something inside of it. Police approached the suspect to ask where he had been and what was in the bag.

At this time, unrelated to Mr. Soto’s investigation, a Mr. Lydon approached the officers and asked them for their names and badge numbers. One of the officers asked the suspect to step back, for the suspect was now less then three feet from the officers, and they did not know if he posed any danger to them. After being asked several times to step away from the scene Mr. Lydon was placed under arrest for obstructing a police investigation.

The item inside Mr. Soto’s bag were found to be from the stores (CVS, Walgreens, and Stop and Shop) that police observed him enter and was placed under arrest for shoplifting.

February 28, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 4:09 AM

Anthony Allen, 21 yrs, was arrested and charged with Intimidation of a witness and two counts of Threats.

Police responded to reports of a family disturbance. Mr. Allen was placed under arrest for Intimidation of a witness and two counts of threats.

  • Occurred between 4:28 PM and 5:00 PM Harvard St. / Fuller St.

Yshayou Lerner, 33 yrs, was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

After being pulled over for a traffic offense, Mr. Lerner was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license.

  • Occurred at 6:08 PM 525 Harvard St.

David Tesik-Glicken, 27 yrs, was arrested and charged with shop lifting.

Police responded to reports of shoplifting. When police arrived they were met by the stored security officer. The officer stated that he observed the suspect using some sort of tool to remove the security tags of a few items. Four pairs of sunglasses were found on the suspect’s person, along with pair of pliers. Mr. Tesik-Glicken was placed under arrest for shoplifting.

  • Occurred at 11:10 PM and 11:30 PM 1369 Beacon St.

Ju-Chan Kim, 29 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license.

After being pulled over a for a traffic offense, police placed Mr. Kim under arrest for driving with a suspended license.

Threats

  • Occurred at 9:03 AM 623 Hammond St.

Police responded to reports of threats on a teacher. The teacher reports that she found note in a suggestion box that made reference to a bomb. Massachusetts State Bomb Squad was called to the school. The State Bomb Squad stated that nothing was found during the search. The children were all evacuated to the gym, which is a separate building. The children’s parents were notified of the incident and school continued on for the rest of the day.

February 27th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 8:20 PM Washington St. / Beacon St.

Aaron Bellamy, 32 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license.

After being pulled over for a traffic offense, Mr. Bellamy was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 9:00 PM 2/26 and 7:09 AM 2/27 67 Gerry St.

Victim reports that someone had smashed his passenger front side window in, what he believes was an attempt to steal his GPS unit. The victim had taken his GPS unit into his house but left the stand attached to the front windshield.

  • Occurred between 10:00 AM 2/26 and 7:30 AM 2/27 49 Marion St.

Victim reports that her passenger side window had been smashed. Nothing was taken but there was a GPS unit holder attached to the windshield.

  • Occurred at 7:00 AM 2/25 and 2/27 49 Marion St.

Victim reports that the front passenger side window of his vehicle had been smashed and his GPS unit was taken.

  • Occurred between 12:30 AM and 7:30 AM 134 Independence Dr.

Victim reports that his vehicle’s passenger side window had been smashed. Nothing appeared to be missing. The Victim had taken his GPS unit with him but left the stand in plain view.

  • Occurred between 8:00 PM 2/26 and 8:24 AM 2/27 9 Sherman Rd.

Victim reports that someone had smashed his front passenger side window. The victim’s GPS unit was not in the vehicle at the time, but the stand was still attached to the windshield. The culprit had removed the contents of the glove compartment in attempt to locate the GPS unit.

  • Occurred between 8:00 PM 2/26 and 8:27 AM 2/27 81 Sherman Rd.

Police while on patrol noticed that the front passenger side window of a vehicle had been smashed. The victim stated that she had moved her GPS system into her house that evening but had left the stand on the front windshield.

  • Occurred between 8:00 PM 2/26 and 7:30 2/27 70 Gerry Rd.

Victim reports that someone had smashed his front driver’s side window and had stolen his GPS unit from the glove compartment.

  • Occurred between 4:30 2/26 and 8:30 AM 2/27 94 Gerry Rd.

Police while on patrol noticed a vehicle’s window had been smashed. The victim later contacted police to report that her GPS unit was stolen from the vehicle.

  • Occurred between 11:30 PM 2/26 and 7:34 AM 2/27 209 Winchester St.

Victim reports that the passenger side window of his vehicle had been smashed and that his GPS unit and stand was taken.

  • Occurred between 6:30 PM 2/26 and 10:00 AM 2/27 114 Sherman Rd.

Victim reports that the front passenger side window of his vehicle had been smashed and the glove compartment was open and rummaged through. Nothing appeared to be missing.

  • Occurred between 9:15 PM 2/26 and 11:00 AM 2/27 222 Gerry Rd.

Victim reports that his vehicle’s passenger side front window had been smashed. Victim had a GPS stand on his front windshield, but took the GPS unit inside.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 11:30 AM and 11:56 AM Greenhill Rd.

Police responded to reports of a residential alarm. Upon arrival police checked the perimeter of the house and found small footprints that led to a window that had been smashed. Police were able to contact the residents, who were away, to inform them on the incident. The owner’s daughter was able to respond to the residence and inform police that nothing seemed to be missing.

**NOTE**

Remember to remove your GPS unit, stand, and any markings on your vehicle’s windshield. Leaving the device’s holder or stage in view, informs people that there may be a GPS device in the vehicle. Also remember not to leave any other valuables in plain view.

February 26th Police Reports

February 26, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 2:38 AM Walnut St. / Cypress St.

James Catlin, 22 yrs, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and Breaking and Entering.

Police responded to reports of a male lying down on his back in the middle of the road. When police arrived they noticed that the man was intoxicated. He was then placed in protective custody. During an inventory search, officers found a plastic bag with marijuana.

A short while later a victim called in for a report of a breaking and entering of his vehicle. When police arrived to process the vehicle they found a duffel bag with a name tag which matched the suspect’s.

  • Occurred at 5:17 PM Chestnut Hill Ave. / Channing Rd.

Garry Ginzburg, 59 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident. A witness to the accident approached the officer and stated that he saw the suspect drive onto incoming traffic. While filling out incident reports officers noticed that the suspect seemed to be intoxicated. Mr. Ginzburg was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.

  • Occurred between 7:55 Pm and 8:32 PM 730 Commonwealth Ave.

Nelson Diaz, 27 yrs, was arrested and charged with ID Fraud, Forgery, and Larceny.

Franklin Tran, 27 yrs, was arrested and charged with Larceny, Possession of marijuana, and Forgery.

Police responded to reports of a costumer possibly trying to pass a forged identification. The person who placed the call reported that the suspect applied for a store credit card. When the suspect was asked to produce a second ID, he handed the store employee a social security card. The employee felt that the ID seemed to be forged; at this time she received a call from an employee at another Radio Shack stating that someone had come into the store earlier trying to use a forged ID to open a line of credit.

When police arrived they asked the suspect for identification and were finally able to identify the suspect as Franklin Tran. They also asked the suspect how he got to the store. He told the officers that a friend had drove him. The suspect and his friend, Nelson Diaz were then placed under arrest.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred at 10:56 AM 175 Freeman St.

Victim reports that his vehicle’s window had been smashed. Nothing appeared to be taken form the vehicle.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred at 9:36 AM 3 Alton Pl.

Police responded to reports that a store’s front window had been smashed. It appeared that no entry was made.

Burglary

  • Occurred at 11:09 AM 140 Thorndike St.

Victim reports that when she retuned home from a week long trip she noticed that someone had broken into her apartment. When police arrived at the apartment they observed signs of forced entry around the door. Stolen from the apartment were a few pieces of jewelry and a laptop.

Motor Vehicle Theft

  • Occurred between 9:00 PM 2/25 and 10:00 PM 2/26 33 Pond Ave.

Victim reports that her rental car was stolen during the night out of the Brook House parking garage. The car is described as a Toyota Camry.

**NOTE**

On February 25th alone there were 7 known cases of breaking and entering into motor vehicles. With each case it seemed as though the culprit was in search for valuables, particularly GPS units. The Brookline Police Department would like to share some crime preventions tips with the residents of the town.

  • When exiting your vehicle do not leave your GPS unit or other valuables in your vehicle.
  • If you must leave the device in the vehicle make sure to place it out of view, such as your glove compartment.
  • Leaving the device’s holder or stage in view, also informs people that there may be a GPS device in the vehicle, therefore make sure to take the GPS unit’s holder with you or place it out of sight.
  • If your GPS unit is mounted on your windshield it may tend to leave a suction cup marking on the glass. Make sure to also clean these markings from the windshield, to ensure that there is no evidence of the device in the vehicle.
  • Again, make sure not leave any valuables in your vehicle.

The vicinity of the Brookline and Boston line also had numerous incidents of breaking and entering.

February 25th Police Reports

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 9:30 PM 2/24 and 8:00 AM 2/25 22 Euston St

Victim reports that sometime during the night someone had broken the passenger front window of her vehicle. Nothing seemed to be missing from the vehicle.

  • Occurred between 7:00 PM 2/24 and 8:15 AM 2/25 128 St. Mary’s St.

Victim reports that her passenger side window had been smashed. The victim’s GPS unit was stolen from the vehicle.

  • Occurred between 11:00 PM 2/24 and 8:46 AM 2/25 131 Sewall Ave.

Victim reports that the front passenger side window of his vehicle had been smashed. Taken from the vehicle were a first-aid kit and some loose change.

  • Occurred between 8:00 PM 2/24 and 8:34 AM 2/25 25 Thatcher St.

Victim reports that sometime during the night someone had smashed the front passenger side window of her vehicle and stole her GPS unit from the dashboard.

  • Occurred between 3:00 PM 2/23 and 9:20 A M 2/25 1135 Beacon St

Victim reports that the passenger’s front side window of his vehicle had been smashed. Nothing seemed to be missing; however his satellite radio appeared to be disturbed, as if someone was trying to pull it off the dashboard.

  • Occurred between 7:30 2/24 and 11:43 AM 2/25 61 Thatcher St.

Victim reports that someone had smashed the front passenger side window of his vehicle and removed a duffle bag from the front floor area.

  • Occurred at 4:30 PM 2/24 and 7:30 2/25 1090 Beacon St.

Victim reports that someone has smashed the front passenger side window of his vehicle and removed his GPS unit from the dashboard.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 5:00 PM 271 Harvard St.

Victim reports that while she was inside Cross Road and Trade she put her bag down on the floor to look at something. Upon retrieving the bag she noticed that her wallet was missing. Inside the wallet were her Driver’s license, a bank card, and $20.00 in cash. She stated that she received a call from the Post Office stating that they had found the wallet inside the mailbox attached to the building. The only thing still inside the wallet was her bank car.

February 20, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 2:51 AM 5 Park St.

Paul Launie, 23 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol.

After being pulled over for a traffic violation, police placed Mr. Launie under arrest for driving under the influence if alcohol.

  • Occurred at 3:53 PM 525 Harvard St.

Adriana Ardila, 33 yrs, was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

Police responded to reports of shop lifting. When they arrived they were met by the stores loss prevention officer who stated that the suspect had been seen on surveillance removing security tags from a few items. Ms. Ardila was placed under arrest for shoplifting.

February 23, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 8:54 PM 399 Chestnut Hill Ave.

Valery Dlaurent, 20 yrs, was arrested and charged with armed robbery.

Police responded to reports of an armed robbery. The victim stated that the suspect had just robbed him at knife point in the parking lot and fled out the rear of the lot towards Beacon St. An officer while responding to the scene observed a male fitting the description of Mr. Dlaurent. When the officer approached the suspect and asked to talk to him, the suspect immediately took off running. After a few minutes of foot pursuit, police were able to apprehend the suspect.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 4:20 AM and 4:33 AM 175 Freeman St.

Police responded to reports of larceny on Freeman St. The security officer for the building stated to police that shortly after 4:00 AM he did a walk through of the building. When he returned to the security desk he noticed that two LCD monitors which monitor the security cameras were missing. After viewing the footage from the security cameras police observed a white male wearing a baseball cap with a round/ oval logo take the monitors and walk away towards the 175 Freeman St side of the building.

February 24, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 12:21 AM 277 Walnut St.

Robert Hamlin, 64 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license.

After being pulled over for a traffic violation, police ran a check on Mr. Hamlin’s license and discovered that his license was suspended. Mr. Hamlin was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license.

  • Occurred between 3:05 AM and 3:36 AM Boylston St. / Cypress St.

Michael Sheehan, 20 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a revoked license.

Police responded to the Mobile Gas Station where they observed a man having trouble with the gas pumps and who seemed to be intoxicated. Police ran a check on the suspect’s license and found that his license had been revoked. Mr. Sheehan was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a revoked license.

Graffiti

  • Occurred between 4:06 PM 2/21 and 4:06 2/22 68 Davis Ave.

Police responded to reports of graffiti on a resident’s fence. The victim stated that she had been out of town and just returned home and saw the graffiti on her fence. The tags on the victim’s fence were all spray painted with black paint.

  • Occurred at 4:40 PM 345 Harvard St.

Police responded to the rear tennis courts at Devotion Elementary School on a report of graffiti. Upon arrival police located the tags on the practice wall.

  • Occurred at 5:13 PM 1 Davis Path.

Police traveling on Rt. 9 observed several tags on the wall of the Davis Path Footbridge. The tags were similar to those found on Davis Ave.

February 2st Police Reports

February 21, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 7:27 PM 385 Harvard St.

Alberto Garcia, 44 yrs, was arrested and charged with attempted breaking and entering of a vehicle.

Being aware of past breaking and entering of vehicles on Harvard St. police parked in front of a drive way were they observed a car that had a GPS unit attached to a vehicles windshield. While the officer was parked on Harvard St. he observed a male get off his bike and approached the car which the officer was keeping surveillance on. The officer noticed the man peer into the car a few times; at this point the officer called in backup and approached the man. During the search of the suspect police found a GPS unit attached to its holder with suction cup, a steak knife, and a screw driver.

  • Occurred at 10:17 PM 7 Egmont St.

Courtney Perry, 27 was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery.

Police responded to reports of a disturbance at 7 Egmont St. Mr. Perry was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 10:30 PM 2/20 and 10:45 AM 2/21 285 Dudley St.

Victim reports that her front right passenger side window had been shattered and her purse was stolen.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 6:30 PM and 7:47 PM 1 244 Boylston St.

Victim reports that when she went to leave the bar which she was seated at, she noticed that her Coach pocketbook was not on the back of her chair under her coat, where she had left it when she got there.

February 20th Police Reports

February 20, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 2:15 AM Harvard St/ Commonwealth Ave.

A 23 yrs subject was arrested on a warrant.

While conducting a traffic stop at Harvard St. and Commonwealth Ave. The subject was identified as not wearing a seat belt sitting in the rear driver side seat. A subsequent check revealed two default warrants for her, issued out of Dorchester District Court

  • Occurred at 1:13 AM 1334 Beacon St.

A 27 yrs old subject, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license.

Police pulled the suspect over for driving with defective equipment. A License check revealed that the subjects license was suspended. The subject was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license.

  • Occurred at 11:31 AM 99 Park St.

A 32 yrs old subject, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery.

Police responded to reports of a fight in the basement of the nursing home. The suspect and the victim had gotten into a verbal discussion that became more and more aggressive, escalating into a physical fight. The subject was placed under arrest for domestic assault and battery

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8:00 AM and 10:09 AM 1657 Beacon St.

Victim report that the copper roof surround and flashing had been forcibly removed from the roof’s parapet, chimneys and pipes exposing the roof to water. The copper is valued at $6.00 per pound.

  • Occurred between 4:00 AM 2/17 and 9:30 2/20 1821 Beacon St.

Victim reports that his vehicle’s passenger side window had been smashed, but nothing seemed to be missing from the interior of the vehicle; however the vehicles hood was open, and both head lights had been removed.

Robbery

  • Occurred between 12:10 AM and 12:21 AM 94 Tappan St.

Victim reports that as she was walking down the street with her friend when the suspect approached from behind and asked them for their money. The man was holding a black-hand gun at his side and demanded money from them three times. The victim told the suspect that they did not have any money on them; he then turned and ran toward Greenough St. The victim described the suspect as a black male, 6’ tall with a medium build, wearing a black or dark blue hooded sweatshirt, and had a white bandanna covering his face.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 8:30 PM 2/19 and 8:01 2/20 1835 Beacon St.

Victim reports that she came out to her vehicle in the morning and noticed that someone had stolen all four of its factory wheels. The driver’s side window was also smashed, the trunk was also left ajar and the cars frame was resting on its spare tire.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 9:06 PM 794 Boylston St.

Andrew Hill, 23 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license.

While conducting traffic enforcement, police observed the suspect driving at a high rate of speed. Mr. Hill was found to be driving with an expired non-renewable license.

Graffiti

· Occurred at 4:55 PM 100 Eliot St.

Police responded to reports of graffiti at the Heath School. The graffiti tag was “MOSKA” it was spray painted in black paint with a straight letter design.

Breaking and Entering

· Occurred between 7:00 PM and 7:15 PM 525 Harvard St.

Victim reports that her vehicle was broken into and a portable GPS unit was stolen. The driver’s side window was smashed. Some loose change was also taken.

· Occurred at 7:48 PM 514 Harvard St.

Victim reports that his vehicle’s passenger side window was smashed and his GPS was taken from the dashboard.

February 15th-18th Police Reports

February 15, 2008

Robbery

  • Occurred between 11:45 PM 2/14 and 12:10 AM 2/15 99 Harvard St.

Victim reports that a Hispanic male, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and a red backpack had just robbed the store by means of a handgun and fled out the back door. The victim states that after closing he went into the parking lot to get the stray carriages. When he went to the front door he was met by the suspect who then forced him back into the store to complete the robbery. The suspect was managed to rob the store of an undisclosed.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 2:11 PM 1306 Beacon St.

Victim reports that her purse was stolen while she ate at the restaurant. The purse contained a credit card, check book, a personal pager and a green wallet containing $5.00

Michael Deaver, 21 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license,

After being pulled over for a traffic offense, police discovered that the suspect had a suspended license. Mr. Deaver was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license.

  • Occurred at 1:24 AM Washington St/ Brookline Ave.

Michael Kachanis, 25 yrs, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of an intoxicating liquor.

After being pulled over for a driving offense police arrested the suspect for driving under the influence of an intoxicating liquor.

  • Occurred at 2:33 AM Beacon St. / Lancaster Tr.

Matteo Cacciatore, 27 yrs, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor and failure to stop for a police officer.

Police observed the suspect fail t stop at a stop sign and make an illegal turn. After stopping the vehicle, police determined Mr. Cacciatore was operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 7:00 PM 2/15 and 8:45 PM 2/15 25 Harvard St.

Victim reports that the front passenger side window of his vehicle was smashed and his GPS unit and a thermometer were stolen.

  • Occurred between 5:30 PM 2/15 and 12:30 AM 11 Harvard St.

Victim reports that the front passenger window of her vehicle was smashed. Stolen from her vehicle was a GPS unit valued at $250.00.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 12:00 PM 2/14 and 9:39 AM 2/16 78 Lagrange St.

Victim reports that a plant/ shrub was stolen from the front of her house within the past three days. The plant/ shrub is worth approximately 20 to 40 dollars.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred 1:00 AM and 8:00 AM 66 Lawton St.

Victim reports that one of the clay plant pots on his porch had been smashed. The pot is valued to be $65.00.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 9:10 PM and 9:20 Fuller St. / Harvard St.

Victim reports the front passenger window of her vehicle was broken by an unknown instrument being used against the window frame. Stolen from the vehicle were a GPS unit and a wallet containing a few bank cards and $200.00 in cash.

  • Occurred between 8:30 PM and 10:29 PM 406 Harvard St.

Victim reports that her vehicle’s driver side window was smashed and her GPS was stolen. Nothing else appeared to be missing from the vehicle.

  • Occurred between 8:30 PM and 11:00 PM 1 Kent St.

Victim reports that her front passenger’s window was smashed. The glove box had been ransacked. Nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 8:11 PM Harvard St./ Green St.

Lois Rodriguez, 33 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving without a license.

After Police pulled Mr. Rodriguez over for a traffic offense, they discovered that he did not have a driver’s license. The suspect was arrested for not duly licensed.

  • Occurred at 7:21 PM 1 Pierce School

John Jones, 47 yrs, was arrested and charged with possession of Marijuana.

Linda Jones. 46 yrs, was arrested and charged with possession of Marijuana.

While conducting surveillance of Harvard St. in response to recent thefts of GPS units from vehicles, an officer observed two subjects staggering down the street peering into store fronts and vehicles. The officer later found the two in the Pierce Park at a picnic table. The officer observed the two individuals passing a lit object back and forth. When the officer approached the two he realized that they were smoking marijuana. The two were placed under arrest for possession of Marijuana.

February 13, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 11:05 AM 33 Pond Ave.

Helia Shafa, 24 yrs, and Robert Anderson, 22 yrs, were arrested and charged with illegal Possession of Marijuana, Hashish, and Psilocybin mushrooms, they are also charged with Intent to distribute Class D and C substance (Marijuana, Hashish/ Mushrooms) and School Zone Violations. Police were first called to the residence on Pond Ave. for a reported disturbance. Initial investigations lead Detectives to request a search warrant for the premises. A search warrant was obtained leading detectives to additional quantities of illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia and an excess of $20,000 U.S.C. All items where seized pursuant to the warrant, Detectives believe that the suspects have been operating a commercial illegal drug enterprise for a period of time and the investigation is ongoing

Larceny

  • Occurred between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM 62 Harvard St.

Victim reports that her wallet, which was locked in the gym’s lockers, was stolen. When she returned to her locker after her workout she noticed that the lock that was on the locker was missing. She describes the wallet as a light green leather wallet, containing $300.00 in cash and another check for $100.00.

  • Occurred between 9:00 PM 2/9 and 9:30 2/9 185 Freeman St.

Victim reports that she misplaced her cell phone somewhere in the main entrance of her building. When she returned to the lobby she was not able to locate it.

  • Occurred at 9:21 PM 16 Parkway Rd.

Victim reports that his valet key that was sent to him via the mail was taken out of the envelope it was sent in.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 2:47 PM Cypress St./ Davis

Alexander Diaz, 17 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license.

After being pulled over for a traffic violation, police placed Mr. Diaz under arrest for driving with a suspended license.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM W Rox Pk.

Victim reports that someone had taken her lap top from her living room table. Nothing else appeared to be missing and there were no signs of forced entry.

  • Occurred between 2:15 PM and 3:23 PM Monmouth St.

Victim reports that her vehicles passenger side window was smashed. A bag containing numerous camera lenses were taken.

February 9, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 1:30 AM

Michael Moran, 24 yrs, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery.

Police responded to reports of two people, male and female, fighting in the parking lot. When police arrived they discovered that the couple were having a verbal argument that escalated to a physical fight, Mr. Moran was placed under arrest for domestic assault and battery.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 4:00 PM and 4:48 PM 1400 Beacon St.

Victim reports that while she was getting her nails done her purse was stolen from one of the stations. Taken was a Kate Spade purse that contained $45.00 in cash and various credit cards.
