Saturday, October 6th


Approximately 2:55AM officers responded to the area of Thorndike Street. A Female victim reported she had been sexually assaulted at approximately 2:30AM. She was walking home from a friend’s house on Commonwealth ave. An unknown male approached her in the area of 1202 Com Av and started to make conversation, the victim declined to engage in conversation. The subject then took the victims phone and keys from her hands. The victim continued walking towards her home and was grabbed and pulled into an alley near Thorndike Street. The subject sexually assaulted the victim and choked her. She was able to get herself to a safe place.  Quick thinking by the victim and her friends who came to her assistance, helped provide the Police with valuable information that lead them to locating the subject in the area of Brighton Av and Harvard Street approximately a half hour later. 

Officers found two swastika symbols carved into the paint on a cell room bench.  The damage was created by a prior prisoner.  This prisoner is being summonsed to court for the malicious damage.
