February 13-15, 2017 Blogs


On 02/13/2017 at approximately 7am an officer responded to a 911 call on Gardner Rd. The officer Viewed that the cars glove box was left ajar as well as contents were tossed around. Nothing of value was taken, and owner believes that the door may have not been locked.

On 02/13/2017 officers witnessed a familiar person and knew this person to have an outstanding warrant. Officer asked this person to identify themselves and officers confirmed warrant. Suspect was placed under arrest and taken to Brookline Police Department.

On 02/14/2017 officers responded to a breaking and entering at a local on Harvard Sq. Officers found the back door of a business was pried open as well as $120 missing. Items inside were tossed around but no further items were taken. Video surveillance has been requested to follow up.

On 02/15/2017 Investigation of recent package thefts resulted in a Brookline Warrant and Arrest. Assisted by the Boston Police Fugitive Units, Brookline Police arrested a subject in Boston for Larceny from a Building, Breaking and Entering, and Possession of Burglarious Tools. The arrestee was operating a motor vehicle at the time of the arrest. Inside the vehicle the arrestee had working red/blue strobe lights both front and rear windshield area, along with a Boston Police Marine Badge. Subject was transported by the Boston Police to District B3 for a courtesy booking and to the Brookline Police Station where he was booked and processed.

On 02/15/2017 officers witnessed an SUV operating at high speed. This led to officers stopping the vehicle which they later found out that the operator of the vehicle had a revoked license. This led to officers arresting the operator as well as taking him to Brookline Police Station.
