March 22nd- 24th

March 22nd- 23rd

Arrests:

Occurred at 9:59 AM (3/22) – Beacon Street

Officers were traveling west on Beacon Street when they observed a vehicle that was following too closely and nearly struck another vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop to speak with the operator. Upon investigation officers learned that the operator did not have a proper Massachusetts license to operate. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for being not duly licensed and following too closely.

Occurred at 11:16 PM (3/22) – Washington Street

An officer was on patrol when he observed a vehicle without a registration sticker affixed to the rear plate. The officer queried the registration and learned that the registration of the vehicle was expired. The officer conducted the traffic stop. Upon investigation the officer confirmed the registration status as expired and the operator was not duly licensed. The subject was subsequently place under arrest for not duly licensed.

Occurred at 2:18 AM (3/23) – Corey Road/ Orchard Street

Officers conducted a traffic stop for failure to yield at a red light. Upon investigation officers detected an odor of alcoholic beverages coming from the operator’s breath. Officers asked the operator to exit the vehicle and as he did so he had to balance himself on the door of the vehicle. After investigation the operator was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and failure to stop at a red light.

Occurred at 4:15 AM (3/23) - Harvard Street

Officers observed a vehicle that did not have fully functioning lights. While conducting a registration status check through dispatch, officers continued to follow the vehicle when they smelled an odor that smelled of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle in front of them. At this time, officers conducted a traffic stop. Officers learned that the operator’s license status was suspended. The operator was placed under arrest for operating after suspension, defective equipment, and failure to use seat belt.

Burglary:

Occurred at 2:55 PM (3/22) – Summit Avenue

An individual reported that a building on Summit Avenue appeared to have been entered and knew that the occupant was out of town. The two rear door handles were in the open position and the doors are off the enclosed patio of the apartment. The bedroom seemed to have several drawers open and scattered on the floor. When officers arrived it appeared that there was no forced entry to gain access.

Not Duly Licensed:

Occurred between 4:54 PM (3/22) and 5:30 PM (3/22) – Beacon Street

Officers were traveling eastbound on Beacon Street and observed a vehicle with an expired registration sticker. Officers conducted the traffic stop and learned that the operators Massachusetts license to operate was expired as well as the registration. The operator was issued a citation for operating without a license and expired registration.

March 23rd- 24th

Arrests:

Occurred between 12:47 AM (3/24) and 1:25 AM (3/24) – Boylston Street/ Philbrick Road

An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal u- turn at the intersection of Boylston St. and Cypress St. The officer conducted the traffic stop. Upon investigation the officer learned that the operators Massachusetts license status was suspended. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after suspension and making an illegal u- turn.

Occurred at 2:45 AM (3/24) – Boylston Street

Officers were assigned to patrol when they observed a vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed. When the officers conducted the traffic stop, they learned that the operator had an active warrant out for his arrest. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for the default warrant and was also cited for speeding. While being placed under arrests, officers discovered a small amount of marijuana in the subject’s vehicle. The subject was additionally cited for possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
