April 29, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 8:32 AM Clyde St. / Whitney St.

Subject was arrested and charged with driving with an expired license.

After being stopped for a traffic offense, police placed the subject under arrest for not being duly licensed.

April 28th Police Reports

April 28, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 7:53 PM 10 Brookline Pl.

Subject was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Police responded to reports of a past assault and battery. When they arrived they met with the victim who stated that two men had approached him and asked him for a lighter. When the victim told them that he did not have one, the assailant kicked him in the neck and face area. Police later found two men walking down the street that matched the description that was given to them by the victim. The suspect that kicked the victim was then placed under arrest for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 7:41 AM 4/18 and 7:41 AM 4/28 354 Harvard St

Victim reports that sometime over school vacation a desk top computer was stolen from one of the class rooms. The computer is valued at $500.00.

  • Occurred between 6:00 PM 4/24 and 12:00 PM 4/26 175 Freeman St.

Victim reports that two packages that were delivered by mail were missing from the front lobby desk of the building. One of the packages contained clothing valued at $370.00 and the other contained a computer valued at $1,300.00.

April 25, 2008

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 9:00 PM 4/24 and 8:37 AM 4/25 42 Clark St.

Victim reports that his vehicle had been broken into during the night. He stated that he left his vehicle inside his garage, and when he returned to it in the morning he noticed that his center console was wide open. Missing from the vehicle was $20.00 in change and his GPS unit.

  • Occurred between 9:18 AM and 9:30 AM 18 Still St.

Victim reports that someone attempted to break into her vehicle. When police arrived they observed pry marks on the driver’s side rear door. No entry was gained.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 6:00 PM 4/19 and 10:00 AM 4/24 26 Glen Rd.

Victim reports that someone had entered his open garage and stole a circular saw and an 18volt cordless drill.

April 26, 2008

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 11:30 PM 4/24 and 7:00 AM 4/26 77 Marion St.

Victim reports that someone had broken into her vehicle and stole her AM/FM CD player. The vehicle’s right passenger window was off its track as if something was wedged between it and the frame of the window causing it to be dislodged.

Shoplifting

  • Occurred at 3:22 PM 302 Harvard St.

Police responded to reports of past shoplifters. When police arrived they spoke to the loss prevention officer that stated that he observed two male subjects attempt to shoplift several items from the store. He stated that he observed the two males enter the store with paper bags and approach the women’s section of the store. They then proceeded to fill the bags with several items totaling $750.00. The employee stated that when he approached the subjects they dropped the bags and fled the store down Beacon St. They were described as dark skinned Hispanic males, both 5”8 about 160 lbs. One had a shaved head, a grey t-shirt over a white long sleeved shirt and blue jeans. The other male was wearing a white hooded sweat shirt, a baseball cap and blue jeans.

April 24, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 9:39 PM 445 Harvard St.

Subject was arrested and charged with driving without a license.

After being pulled over for a traffic offense, police placed the subject under arrest for not being duly licensed.

  • Occurred at 2:54 PM Washington St. / Holden St.

Subject was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license.

After being pulled over for a defected tail light, police placed the subject under arrest for driving with a suspended license.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 11:30 PM 4/23 and 7:50 AM 4/24 14 Irving St.

Victim reports that sometime during the night someone had stolen his black Toyota Camry from his driveway.

  • Occurred between 9:00 PM 4/23 and 9:46 AM 4/24 16 Acron Rd.

Victim reports that sometime during the night someone illegally entered her vehicle. The victim was not sure if she had left the doors unlocked. The only thing that seemed to be missing from the vehicle was $5.00 in change.

  • Occurred between 6:30 PM 4/23 and 5:00 PM 4/24 46 Jamaica Rd.

Victim reports that someone had illegally entered her vehicle, emptied her glove box, and rifled through her center console. The victim stated that she had left the vehicle unlocked. The only things that seemed to be missing were $5.00 in coins and a Swiss Army Knife.

Shoplifting

  • Occurred between 2:15 PM and 2:28 PM 294 Harvard St.

Police responded to reports of a shoplifter. When police arrived they spoke to the store manager who stated that a man had just stolen a carton of cigarettes. He stated that the subject approached the cashier and requested the cigarettes. He then asked the cashier if he could pay for them at the pharmacy. Due to store policy, the cashier brought the cigarettes to the pharmacy. The suspect then gave the pharmacist a fraudulent name in order to create a distraction. At that time the shoplifter grabbed the carton from the counter and fled the store. The suspect was described as a white male with a dark completion, brown hair, a brown moustache, wearing a beige/ green winter jacket, a green t-shirt and khaki pants.

April 21, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 2:46 PM Aspinwall Ave. / Kent St.

Subject was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license.

After being pulled over for a traffic offense, police placed the subject under arrest for driving with a suspended license.

  • Occurred at 9:15 PM 361 Washington St.

Subject was arrested and charged with being a disorderly person.

Police observed a female subject spit on a marked police cruiser. The subject was placed under arrest for disorderly person.

April 19th-20th Police Reports

April 19, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred 2:19 PM and 2:54 AM 1235 Boylston St.

Subject was arrested and charged with driving without a license and possession of marijuana.

After being pulled over for a traffic offense, police placed the subject under arrest for driving without a license. Police also found on the subject’s possession a small bag of marijuana.

Burglary

  • Occurred at 9:13 AM 153 High St.

Victim reports that during the night she heard loud banging coming from the rear of her house. The next morning when she awoke she noticed large pry marks around the handle of the back door and a window broken by rocks being thrown through it. No entry was gained.

Indecent Assault

  • Occurred between 1:44 PM and 2:10 PM 1302 Beacon St.

Victim reports that while she was in the dressing room at Mint Julip a man walked into the dressing room that she was in and indecently assaulted her. The victim described the suspect as a light skinned Hispanic man in his 30’s, 5’5, medium built, with dark short hair, wearing sunglasses, white dirty sneakers, an old grey t-shirt, with blue writing that the victim believes had Nike imprinted on it and blue jeans.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 3:00 AM 1168 Commonwealth Ave.

Subject was arrested on a default warrant.

Police while on patrol noticed a man enter the Herb Chambers dealership lot. Police continued to observe the man until they heard the alarm system sound at which point they approached the subject. After running a check on the subject they discovered a default warrant for his arrest.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 5:00 AM 4/12 and 12:42 PM 4/13 37-39 Carlton St.

Victim reports that when she was dropped off by a taxi, she realized that she had left her cell phone inside the taxi cab. She stated that when she contacted her cell phone provider they informed her that several unauthorized international call were made to Haiti.

April 14th Police Reports

April 14, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 7:21 PM 1309 Beacon St.

Subject was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Police responded to reports of a past assault at Trader Joe’s. The caller told police that the subject threatened a customer and was chasing another man with a broken bottle. Police were able to apprehend the suspect on Charles St and Beacon St. and place him under arrest for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 8:00 AM and 8:34 AM 48 Kent St.

Victim reports that sometime around 8:000 am she heard a loud noise and her back porch door open. At this time she yelled “hello”. She then stated she heard foot steps as if someone was running around. When police arrived on scene they noticed that the porch door appeared to be forced open.

April 11, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 1:02 PM Corey Rd. / Salisbury Rd.

Subject was arrested and charged with not being duly licensed.

After being pulled over for a traffic offense, police placed the subject under arrest for not being duly licensed.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred at 3:05 AM 2 South St.

Police responded to reports of a past breaking and entering. When they arrived they spoke with the victim that stated that when he arrived home he observed a male subject dressed in all black and wearing a black hat in the back of his vehicle. The victim stated that when the subject noticed him he fled towards the back of the house which leads to Newton St. The victim stated that $400.00 in cash was missing from his mother’s purse which was in the vehicle at the time.

  • Occurred between 6:00 PM 4/10 and 8:30 AM 4/11 268 Walnut St.

Victim reports that during the night someone had broken into her vehicle. Taken from the vehicle were two pairs of sunglasses valued at $320.00 and $8.00 in change and a few random tools.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM 32 Station St.

Victim, employee at 32 Station St, reports that her wallet was stolen from her purse. She described the wallet as a brown tri-fold ladies wallet with a gold clasp.

April 12, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 12:53 AM 1233 Beacon St.

Subject was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license.

After being pulled over for a traffic offense, police placed the subject under arrest for driving with a suspended license.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 4:00 PM and 10:53 PM 1616 Beacon St.

Victim reports that the passenger side window of his vehicle had been smashed and his GPS unit had been stolen. The GPS unit was mounted on the windshield; nothing else in the vehicle was disturbed.

April 13, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 12:00 AM 45 Windsor Rd.

Subject was arrested and charged with burglary.

Police responded to reports of a past burglary. When police arrived they spoke to the two residents. They stated that they observed a male subject standing in their porch after they were awoken by the front door’s window being smashed. The only description that the victims could give is that the subject was wearing all black. During further inspection of the broken window police discovered drops of blood on the porch as well as inside the house.

About five minutes after the call was made an officer observed a male subject wearing black clothing and bleeding from his hand. The subject was placed under arrest for burglary.

  • Occurred at 2:34 PM 51 Egmont St.

Subject was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

Police responded to reports of a past assault and battery at 51 Egmont St. When police arrived they met with the victim and caller. The victim stated that he pulled into the rear of 51 Egmont St and noticed a vehicle that was parked in a fire lane and began to tow it. At that time the owner of the vehicle approached the victim and asked him what he was doing. The victim then told the subject that to release the vehicle there would be a $50.00 drop fee. The victim then stated that while he was getting paper work from the tow truck he was struck in the left side of the face by the subject. He then stated that when he was trying to get out of the truck the subject pushed the door striking him. Police placed the subject under arrest for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 6:00 PM 4/12 and 1:51 PM 4/13 1087 Beacon St.

Victim reports that his vehicle’s passenger side window had been smashed and that his GPS unit valued at $800.00, lap top computer valued at $800.00, and two digital cameras valued at $900.00 were stolen from the vehicle.

April 10th Police Reports

April 10, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 7:36 PM 294 Harvard St.

Subject was arrested and charged with attempted breaking and entering and possession of burglarious tools.

Police responded to reports of a past attempted burglary. The caller, employee of CVS, reported that he saw the subject enter the store from the rear door. He then observed the male proceed to the fragrance counter, which has glass doors, and attempt to open it with some sort of tool. The employee then approached the subject to ask what he was doing; at that point the subject fled the store and ran onto Harvard St.

Police observed a male fitting the description of the subject on the corner of Harvard St and Stedman St. Police placed the subject under arrest for attempted breaking and entering and possession of burglarious tools.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 9:00 PM 4/9 and 6:00 AM 4/10 105 Oakland Rd Ext.

Police found five vehicles along Oakland Rd. Ext that had been broken into overnight. The vehicles window’s had been smashed to gain entrance and the property that was stolen were valuables that were visible from outside the vehicle. Such as GPS units, loose change, and pocket book.

  • Occurred between 9:30 PM 4/9 and 6:00 AM 4/10 20 Hawthorne Rd.

Victim reports that over night his wife’s car had been broken into. The victim reports that $4.00 in change was taken from the vehicle.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 11:30 PM 4/9 and 7:04 AM 4/10 12 Jamaica Rd.

Victim reports that sometime over night her vehicle had been stolen. She stated to police that she parked her 2002 white Chevrolet Cavalier in her garage and when she woke that morning she noticed that the vehicle was missing.

  • Occurred between 6:00 PM 4/6 and 8:00 AM 4/10 339 Washington St.

Victim reports that the left front tire of his vehicle had been taken, and that there was a small dent and minor scrapes on the rear right side of the vehicle.

April 9th Police Reports

April 9, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 4:52 PM Harvard St/ Harvard Ave.

Subject was arrested and charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct.

Police while patrolling Harvard St. observed the subject shoving a male several times and yelling at the corner of Harvard St. and Harvard Ave. The victim stated that the subject had been shoving and knocking him to the ground and would not leave him alone. The subject was placed under arrest for assault and battery and disorderly conduct.

  • Occurred at 4:11 PM 40 Bowker St.

Subject was arrested and charged with larceny.

While responding to reports of a past larceny police observed a male on a bicycle that matched the description of the reported stolen bike. Police returned to where they last saw the male but were only able to locate the bike. At that time a man called down to the police and told them that the subject that was just riding the bicycle had jumped some fences into backyards and ran towards St. Paul St. and Aspinwall Ave. The subject was then apprehended and placed under arrest for larceny.

Burglary

· Occurred between 9:30 PM 4/7 and 6:30 AM 4/8 Brookline Pl.

Police responded to the above address for a past burglary report. The buildings security officer informed police that two suites on the fourth floor had reported that their offices had been broken into.

Graffiti

· Occurred between 12:00 AM 4/4 and 5:00 PM 4/4 1782 Beacon St.

Police responded to reports of a graffiti complaint. Upon arrival police met with the caller who stated that he noticed a large “tag” spray painted on the side of the building. Police observed one “tag” done in silver and back spray paint.

Larceny

Victim reports that in the past few months a black IBM Inkpad was stolen from the above address. She states that back in January six laptops were delivered to the address and that on March 25th the noticed that one of the laptops was missing.

April 7th Police Reports

April 7, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 2:33 AM Washington St.

Subject was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

After being pulled over for a traffic violation, police placed the subject under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.

  • Occurred at 1:24 PM 156 Lawton St.

Subject was arrested for assault and battery.

Police responded to reports of a student assaulting staff members. When police arrived they noticed four staff members trying to restrain the student. During the struggle the subject was flailing her arms around in a violent way, often striking the staff in the shoulder, chest and head area. As the officers attempted to assist, the subject began to kick at the officers. The subject was then place under arrest for assault and battery.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 9:00 PM 4/6 and 6:34 AM 4/7 1760 Beacon St.

Victim reports that someone had removed the passenger side front and rear tires from her Honda Civic. When police arrived they observed the vehicle, with its two side tires missing, held up with a cinder block.

April 4th-6th Police Reports

April 4, 2008

Arrest

· Occurred between 4:50 PM and 5:12 PM 525 Harvard St.

Subject was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

Police responded to reports of shoplifting at TJ Maxx. When police arrived they spoke with store security that stated that they observed the subject remove tags from a pair of athletic shoes. The subject then returned the pair of shoes in exchange for store credit. The subject was then placed under arrest for shoplifting.

· Occurred at 6:34 PM 44 Netherlands Rd.

Two subjects were arrested and charged with armed robbery.

Police responded to reports of an armed robbery on Netherlands Rd. Police spoke with the two victims that stated that two males had approached them and attempted to rob them with a knife. Police also spoke with three other witnesses that confirmed the descriptions of the subjects. Another witness then told police that they saw the two subjects in the Mission Park area. The two subjects were located and placed under arrest for attempted robbery with a knife.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 7:30 PM 4/3 and 8:00 AM 4/4 Stetson St.

Victim reports that sometime during the night someone had removed the two front tires from his vehicle. When police arrived they observed the victim’s vehicle on top of a stack of bricks and the front tires removed.

April 5, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 4:38 PM Beacon St.

Subject was arrested on a default warrant.

Police while on patrol observed two men placing flyers on the windshields of vehicles on Beacon St. Police noticed that every time the subjects placed a flier on a car they would pause and look inside the vehicle. Police asked the subjects for identification. One of the subjects was found to have an outstanding default warrant. He was then placed under arrest.

  • Occurred at 2:51 AM Mountfort St/ Carlton St.

Subject was arrested for being disorderly person.

Police while on surveillance of Commonwealth Ave. alive of the recent armed robberies observed a man that they believed matched the description of one of the suspects, and who was walking in and out of neighboring yards. When police began to follow him the subject began to sprint away from the officers. When police finally located the subject they observed that he was intoxicated. The subject then became extremely belligerent when police began to ask him questions. The subject was then placed under arrest for being disorderly person.

April 6, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 3:05 AM Boylston St/ Sumner Rd.

Subject was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Police pulled the subject over for a traffic violation. While talking to the subject the officer could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer searched the subject’s vehicle. Upon the search of the vehicle police found a metallic container that contained marijuana. The subject was then placed under arrest for possession of marijuana.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 1:59 PM 115 Greenough St.

Subject was arrested and charged for trespassing.

While on a traffic post police were informed that there was a person on school grounds that had a no trespass order issued in his name. Police identified the subject and confirmed the no trespass order. The subject was placed under arrest for trespassing.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 2:45 PM and 3:15 PM Glen Rd.

Victim reports that sometime during the day someone had stolen a few pairs of her earrings and a digital camera worth $250.00. She states, that later in the evening she was placing her earrings back into a dish atop the bedroom dresser when she discovered assorted jewelry strewn about the floor. She then noticed that several of the earrings were missing.

April 2nd Police Reports

April 2, 2008

Arrest

· Occurred at 11:23 AM Linden St.

Subject was arrested and charged with attempted burglary.

Police responded to reports of an attempted burglary on Linden St. The victim reports that she was sitting on her couch when she noticed a man walk up the street and approach her house. The man then walked onto her front porch and walked into the vestibule opening the screen porch door. The victim then noticed her front door knob start to slowly turn in an attempt to open it. At this time the victim yelled “who is it?’ at which time the suspect ran up Linden St. towards Harvard St. Using the description that the victim gave, police were able to locate the suspect and place him under arrest for attempted burglary.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 6:00 PM 3/31 and 8:40 AM 4/1 Beacon St.

Victim reports that the left driver side window of his vehicle was shattered. The only item stolen from the vehicle was a satellite radio valued at $300.00.

  • Occurred between 7:00 PM 3/31 and 7:00 PM 4/1 Park St.

Victim reports that the passenger side window of his vehicle had been smashed. The only thing that seemed to be missing was a radar detector which was taken from the driver’s door pocket.

Graffiti

  • Occurred between 4:00 PM 3/29 and 6:40 AM 3/31 St. Mary’s St.

Victim reports several graffiti tags on the wall of his building. Police arrived and noticed three tags.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 4:32 PM Brookline Pl. West

Victim reports that her wallet was stolen from her desk. She states that she left her desk and purse unattended for two minutes. When she returned she observed a woman walk by her that she was not familiar with and then realized that her wallet was stolen. The victim describes the suspect as a white female, heavy set, 5’7 in her early 30’s, with curly bleach blond hair.
