BIKE THEFT - Officers took a report of a bike theft that occurred on School St. The reporting party stated they secured the bike in an open garage but discovered the lock had been cut and another bike left in its place. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers were called to Boylston St for a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they discovered a check had never made it to the intended individual but had been cashed. The matter is under investigation.
SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to Commonwealth Av for a report of shoplifting. The reporting party stated an individual placed items in a personal bag and left the store without paying. The matter is under investigation.

GRAFFITI - Officers were contacted by an individual about graffiti that had been carved into public property. The matter is referred to the Community Service Division.
FRAUD - Officers took a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they were notified by the bank regarding a possible fraudulent check and discovered a check they had written had been altered and an individual was attempting to cash it. The matter is under investigation.
PACKAGE THEFT - Officers were called to Sewall Av for a report of a package theft. The reporting party stated they received a package, but when they went to collect it, it was gone. The matter is under investigation.
Thursday, March 3
FOUND PROPERTY - Officers were approached by an individual who had found a ring in the area of Babcock St and Harvard St. The item was taken to the station for safe keeping.
Friday, March 4
MALICIOUS DAMAGE - Officers took a report of malicious damage done to a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they have found dog excrement on their vehicle. The matter is under investigation.
ASSAULT - Officers responded to Harvard St for a report of a fight between a group of individuals. Reportedly, an individual entered the store and grew agitated when interacting with staff. They threw around merchandise and shoved an employee, and another employee escalated the altercation. Both parties will be summonsed to court assault and battery.
SHOPLIFTING - Officers were called to Washington St for a report of shoplifting. The reporting party stated three individuals entered the store and requested to see two items. They acted as if to buy the items but ran from the store when the employee was otherwise occupied. The matter is under investigation.
Saturday, March 5
CAR BREAK - Officers responded to Winchester St for a report of a suspicious individual. The reporting party stated they saw someone attempting to open multiple vehicles along the street. Officers identified and placed the individual under arrest for breaking and entering of motor vehicles. The stolen property was returned to the proper owners.
FRAUD - Officers were called to Park St for a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they received an email that claimed their computer had been hacked and provided a number for 'tech support'. They called the number and were told to purchase gift cards and to provide the numbers over the phone. The matter is under investigation.
Sunday, March 6
SHOPLIFTING - Officers took a report of a past shoplifting. The reporting party stated an individual entered the store, cut away the anti-theft device, then fled the store with the merchandise. The matter is under investigation.
