MALICIOUS DAMAGE - Officers responded to a malicious damage report on Boylston St. where the reporting party shared that they parked in the parking lot and was making a quick trip into an office building. When they returned to the car to retrieve their phone, they were confronted by a driver who was parked next to them. The driver was unable to get into their driver's side due to the reporting party parking too close to them. The two parties cleared up the issue and went their separate ways. After, when the reporting party returned, they noticed a scratch mark on their front bumper. The reporting party later reviewed surveillance footage of the parking lot to find the aforementioned driver had scratched their car. Police have been able to identify the driver and they will be summonsed for Malicious Damage to an automobile.
ID FRAUD - Officers responded to an unemployment fraud report where the reporting party and victim shared that they received an alert that their personal information was used at the Department of Unemployment in Kentucky. The party has since filed a fraud report with the Department of Unemployment and the Federal Trade Commission.
MALICIOUS DAMAGE - Officers responded to a malicious damage to an automobile report on St. Mary's St. where the reporting party shared that when they returned to their parked car, they noticed shards of glass on the driver's seat. They then saw the back windshield broken and there was a wooden stick on the back seat. The party shared that there was nothing missing and detectives are currently following up on the case.

Saturday - May 1, 2021
SHOPLIFT - Officers responded to a past shoplifting report on Commonwealth Ave. where the Loss Prevention Manager shared that there were two incidents were a perpetrator concealed items and left the store without paying. The manager shared surveillance with officers and were able to share which items were stolen. Detectives are following up with a description of the suspect as well as the video footage.
SHOPLIFT - Officers responded to a past shoplifting report on Commonwealth Ave. where it was shared that a known subject walked into the store and traveled directly to the electronics section. They then promptly grabbed merchandise and exited the store without paying. Officers are familiar with the subject and have requested an arrest warrant be issued for the subject.
GRAFFITI - Officers responded to a graffiti complaint on Chapel St. where there were two illegible markings on a wall. Pictures were attached to the report and officers are looking for surveillance around the area.
FRAUD - Officers responded to a report of scam where the reporting party shared that they received a check and was asked to be a secret shopper. The party deposited the check and began to perform the actions directed on the email. Days later, the check bounced and the party realized that they had been a victim of a scam.
LARCENY - Officers responded to a report of larceny at an establishment on Harvard St. Employees shared that someone walked into the store and requested to buy a drink. When the employee turned around to retrieve the drink, the subject picked up the tip jar and ran out of the establishment. Officers arrived to search the area and received a description of the subject. Officers are also waiting on video surveillance from the establishment.
FOUND PROPERTY - Officers were flagged down by someone who found a gold watch at the intersection of Saint Paul St. and Longwood Ave. The watch has special inscriptions and was turned in for safe keeping.

Sunday - May 2, 2021
GRAFFITI - Officers responded to a report of graffiti on Clinton Rd. where the resident shared that there were three names spray painted on the top of their garage. The spray paint belongs to the resident but they did not create the markings on the garage roof.
BIKE THEFT - Officers responded to a report of stolen bicycles on St. Paul St. The reporting party shared that their bikes were secure and there was no signs of forced entry so the perpetrator may have an access key to the building. Officers are waiting on further information from the reporting party.

Monday - May 3, 2021
LARCENY - Officers responded to a larceny report on Goodnough St. where the reporting party shared that they were mowing their lawn and when they went to empty the clippings bag around the corner of the house, they returned and the lawn mower was gone. The residents are currently reviewing their Ring cameras.
LARCENY - Officers responded to a report of a stolen bicycle wheel. The reporting party shared that they locked their bicycle to a fence near Amory Park and when they returned, the rear wheel of the bicycle was missing.

Tuesday - May 4, 2021
BIKE THEFT - Officers responded to a bike theft report on Beacon St. where the victim shared that they locked their bike to a bike rack and when they returned, their bike was missing but the lock was still there. Officers are looking for surveillance from the establishments in the area.
