2:20 PM – An officer was dispatched to Claflin Rd. for a reported dog biting incident. The victim stated that he had been charged at and bit on the leg by a loose dog while walking on Claflin Rd. Brookline PD was able to contact the owner/handler of the dog who provided police with vaccination documents that determined the dog was up-to-date on shots and is licensed with the Town. Medical personnel arrived to assist the victim with his injury and the responding officer was given permission to photograph the bite. The owner of the attacking dog was issued a Town of Brookline By-Law Citation for Biting or Injuring a Person. The Health Department will be notified of this incident.
