Police Reports October 24 through October 26, 2014

On October 24, an individual came into Brookline Police Department to make a report of a stolen bicycle. Her son’s bicycle was taken some time between October 17 and October 20.

On October 24, an officer responded to Chestnut St for a report of a larceny. The individual believes that money was taken from her residence sometime Tuesday when no one was home. Please remember to lock your doors when leaving your residence.

On October 25, an officer observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn on Beverly Road. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked for his license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest.

On October 25, an officer responded to Fuller St for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The vehicle appeared to be rummaged through. The vehicle was left unlocked. Please remember to lock your car doors.

On October 26, an officer conducting traffic enforcement conducted a random query of a passing vehicle showing that the owner’s right to operate had been revoked. The vehicle was pulled over along Beacon St and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was revoked and the driver was placed under arrest for operating after the revocation.

On October 26, officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed along Harvard St. The officers initiated a traffic stop and asked the driver for their license and registration. Based on information obtained at the stop, the subject was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol.


On October 26, officer responded to a business for a report of shoplifting. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the store manager who stated that there were two subjects walking around the store. One of the subjects took two items that were on display and put them into his bag. The two men then fled the store once they were confronted. The first subject is described as a white male, mid 20’s, 6 feet tall, wearing a baseball cap, black puffy jacket, blue jeans and a stud near his right eye. The second subject is described as a white male, mid 20’s, 5’7”, wearing a blue baseball cap backwards, a gray hooded sweatshirt with a school logo on the front, blue jeans and light facial growth.
