Police Reports 6/6/2014 through 6/8/2014

On June 6, an officer responded to Payson Rd. for a past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated that their car had been parked overnight in their driveway and the next day they discovered that someone had broken into the car and attempted to take the seat belts. The matter is under investigation.

On June 6, a woman reported that her wallet had been stolen. The woman stated that she had left work to get coffee on Harvard St. and then returned to work and put her purse into a coat closet. The woman later received an email in regards to purchases from her credit card that she had not made. The matter is under investigation.

On June 6, an officer was dispatched to Winchester St. for a report of a stolen license plate. The reporting party stated that the front license plate from his car had been removed some time since the night before.

On June 6, officers were dispatched to Reservoir Rd. for a report of a breaking and entering of a residence. Two residents stated that their home had been broken into earlier in the day and showed officers where a piece of sheet metal from their basement air conditioner had been pushed in so someone could make entry. The matter is under investigation

On June 7, an officer observed a vehicle travelling on Harvard St. with an expired inspection sticker. The officer conducted a traffic stop and found that the driver had an active warrant in effect. The driver was placed under arrest.

On June 7, an officer responded to the area of Beacon St. and St. Paul St. for a report of a suspicious person. The caller stated that a man was walking along Beacon St. with recycling container and appeared to be looking into the lobbies of various buildings. Officers located the male subject in a vehicle parked across from 1244 Beacon Street. An officer spoke with the male subject and was able to see a recycling bin matching the caller’s description as well as multiple packages in the front and back seat of the car. The man was placed under arrest for larceny from a building and receiving stolen property.

On June 8, an officer observed a vehicle speeding on Boylston St. and initiated a traffic stop. The officer found that the driver was operating with a suspended license and he was placed under arrest.

On June 8, officers were dispatched to Beacon St. for a report of shoplifting. Officers were able to locate the suspect travelling on Pleasant St. and were able to stop him. Officers found the man in possession of stolen merchandise as well as wire snip pliers. The man was placed under arrest for shoplifting and possession of burglarious tools.
