Police Reports 10/5-10/7

Assault & Battery with Dangerous Weapon
10/8 at 11:54pm - Beacon St
Officers responded to a report of a physical altercation between a male and a female. Responding officer was informed that there was a black male suspect armed with a knife who had just fled the scene. Officer chased the suspect on foot and was able to safely take the suspect into custody. Upon questioning, Building manager later stated that he went to investigate an argument going on in of his apartment units. He then stated that he observed the suspect displaying a knife in his hand and the victim sitting in a chair, crying and bleeding. Suspect threatened the Building Manager, grabbed items and then later fled the scene. Victim sustained two puncture wounds (One in the left flank, and the second one in the left thigh) consistent with the knife. Victim was taken to the hospital and is now in recovery. Suspect was placed under arrest and charged with:
Attempted Murder to-wit strangulation
  • ABDW to-wit a knife against Victim
  • ABDW to-wit a bottle against Victim
  • ABDW to-wit a broom handle against Victim
  • Kidnapping of Victim
  • Armed Robbery of Victim, to-wit a knife
  • Assault & Battery against Victim
  • Assault & Battery against Building Manager
  • Assault Dangerous Weapon to-wit a knife against Building Manager
Possession/Synthetic Narcotic: 10/6 at 5:57pm – Pleasant St
Officers were monitoring the activity in the heavy commercial area of Coolidge Corner when they noticed a white male standing in the crosswalk texting on his cell phone causing cars to stop. The white male later crossed the street where he was met by a female and an exchange was made. Female suspect was placed under arrest for Conspiracy to Violate Substance Abuse Act and Possession of Class B narcotic.

Robbery-Firearms: 10/5 at 4:30pm – Thatcher St
Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. Victim stated that he noticed 3 black male suspects in front of Thatcher St. Victim stated that a black male suspect approached him, revealed a black handgun, and took the victim’s personal items. Victim describes the suspects as: #1 - black male early to mid teens, had braces in his teeth, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, with a white t-shirt underneath (this suspect had the gun) , #2 - black male, early to mid teens, wearing a gray sweatshirt, #3 - black male, early to mid teens, wearing a white sweatshirt.

Assault: 10/5 at 10:15pm – Harvard St
Officer responded to a report of a past assault and battery. Victim stated that she had a problem with the same customer several times. Victim stated that the subject was intoxicated and had hassled several of her employees about getting free pizza because he had dropped his. When the victim asked the subject to leave, the subject argued that he was owed a pizza and grabbed the victim by the arm.

Larceny: 10/5 at 10:00pm & 10/6 at 5:15am – Abbottsford Rd
Resident stated that she noticed her bike missing from her front porch of her home. Resident claims that her bike was left unlocked and was left next to a railing along with another bike.

Larceny: 10/6 at 9:00pm – Harvard St
Officer was dispatched for a shoplifter. Lost prevention officer stated that she observed the suspect use her one-year old child and her baby carriage to conceal items.

Protective Custody: 10/7 at 3:22am – John St/Pleasant St
Officer responded to a report for an intoxicated male that was having difficulty walking. Caller stated that he almost collided with a pedestrian that was stumbling on the street. Upon arrival, officer observed the subject to appear intoxicated acting belligerent and refusing to cooperate. Officer placed the subject under protective custody for safety reasons.

Warrant/Default: 10/7 at 3:00pm - Aspinwall Ave. and Kent St.
A random query check revealed that the operator of a vehicle had an outstanding arrest warrant and a suspended driver’s license. Operator was placed under arrest and charged with Operating After Suspension.

Loud Music/Party: 10/8 at 12:30am - Thatcher St
Officer responded to a report for a noise complaint. Resident was issued a By-Law Citation for a Nuisance Control By-law violation.

Larceny: B/t 10/8 at 10:54am & 10/8 at 2:30pm – Longwood Ave
Resident reported that his package had been removed from the foyer of his apartment building. Resident stated that he and his neighbors have had packages go missing in the past, but did not report it to the police.

Operating After Suspension: 10/7 at 1:36pm – Harvard St/Aspinwall Ave
Officer observed a vehicle failing to stop for a red light. A vehicle registration check revealed that the operator had a suspended license status. Operator was placed under arrest and charged with Operating After Suspension (Registration) and Fail to Stop - Red Light.

B&E of MV: Bt 10/6 at 8:31am & 10/6 at 9:30am – Brookline Ave/River Rd
Caller stated that he observed an individual break into a motor vehicle in the area of Brookline Ave. Suspect was placed under arrest for breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, larceny, and receiving stolen property.

Operating After Suspension: 10/7 at 9:56am – Washington St / Juniper St
Officer observed a vehicle fail to signal as it changed lanes. A query of the vehicle's registration check revealed that the registered owner had a suspended driver’s license. Operator was placed under arrest and charged with Operating After Suspension (License) and Failure to Signal.

Larceny: 10/5 at 5:39pm – Washington St
Caller stated that a male subject stole items from the store and fled. Caller describes the male suspect as a white male in his 20’s, dark hair, wearing a black jacket over a white or tan shirt.

Attempt/Larceny: B/t 10/5 at 6:00pm &10/6 at 10:00am – Cypress St
Resident stated that somebody entered her property and went to the rear of her house and stole items.
