Police Reports 4/4-4/5

Arrest: Occurred on 4/5 at 3:20 AM- Upland Rd.

An Upland Rd. resident reported that he observed two males run from a neighboring driveway to a parked vehicle and take off towards Walnut St. Several vehicles in the area had been broken into and had property stolen. Dispatch gave a description of a gray sedan with a stripe down the side. Officers observed a vehicle that matched this description traveling on Harvard St. at a high rate of speed and without its headlights on. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Harvard St.

Inside the vehicle in plain view were numerous car cell phone chargers, GPS units, and an assortment of tools. Also located in the vehicle was a laptop and several pieces of mail from a Clark Ct. address. Officers spoke to the residents of this address, who stated that two of their cars had been broken into. The victims stated that they were missing a laptop and a GPS unit.

The driver and the passenger were both placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Burglarious Tools, 2 counts of Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, and 2 counts of Receiving Stolen Property over $250. At 7:30 AM on 4/5, an additional victim on Cushing Rd. reported a breaking and entering of his vehicle. The victim positively identified property seized from the arrestee’s vehicle. The two arrestees will additionally be charged with receiving stolen property under $250.

Larceny: Occurred on between 4/4 and 4/5- Harvard Ave.

An individual reported a larceny. The victim stated that she parked her vehicle on Harvard Ave. at 5:00 PM on 4/4. When she returned the next morning, she discovered that both driver’s side wheels were missing and that the vehicle had been left set on cinder blocks.

Arrest: Occurred on 4/4 at 8:15 AM- Cypress St./ Boylston St.

An officer stopped to assist in the exchanging of paper work after a motor vehicle accident at Cypress St. and Rt 9. Upon the officer’s arrival, the male operator of the second vehicle was argumentative and demanded his paperwork back from the female operator of the first vehicle. The male subject reached into the other vehicle and attempted to forcibly remove his paperwork out of the hand of the female subject, striking the female’s arm. The officer attempted to stop the male subject, at which time the subject pushed the officer twice. The subject was placed under arrest for assaulting a police officer.
