Police Reports 4/2-4/3

Arrest: Occurred on 4/3 at 1:17 AM- Beacon St.

A vehicle was traveling at night without its headlights illuminated. This vehicle also failed to stop for a stop sign on Beacon St. at Westbourne Terrace. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Beacon St. A query of the driver’s information revealed that his license was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

OUI: Occurred on 4/2 at 6:35 PM- Beacon St.

Officers witnessed a motor vehicle accident on Beacon St. Upon speaking to the operators of the involved vehicles, the officer could detect a strong odor of alcohol emanating from one of the drivers. A query of this subject’s information revealed that his registration and license were both revoked. Based on the observations, the subject was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor. He was additionally charged with Operating Under the Influence of Drugs, Operating After Revoked License, Operating After Revoked Insurance, Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle and Open Container.

Arrest: Occurred on 4/2 at 4:46 PM- Newton St.

A vehicle traveled past the intersection of Lee St. and Warren St. at a high rate of speed. The vehicle also had an expired inspection sticker and a defective taillight. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Newton St. A query of the driver’s information revealed that his license and registration were both suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.
