Sept. 3rd – Sept. 7th

Arrest

Occurred 10:58 AM (9/03) – Harvard St.

While patrolling, officers observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on the wrong side of the road and strike a pedestrian sign. Officers subsequently executed a traffic stop and placed the driver under arrest for failure to stop for a police officer, operating to endanger, marked lane violation, making an illegal left turn, speeding, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Occurred 6:05 PM (9/04) – Walnut St.

Police responded to a report of an assault and battery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that he observed a group of individuals assault a male victim and flee. Officers subsequently located the suspects and placed them under arrest.

Occurred 1:19 AM (9/05) –Harvard St. / Marion St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his Mass. driver’s license had expired and had also been suspended. Officers subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after suspension.

Occurred 9:34 PM (9/07) – Boylston St.

While conducting traffic enforcement, police observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Officers executed a traffic stop and ran a query of the driver’s information which revealed a revoked license status. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for driving after revocation and speeding.


Larceny

Occurred between 12:00 PM and 12:05 PM 10:58 AM (8/16) – Cypress St.

Police responded to a report of a stolen package. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that she did not receive a package she was expecting. The victim contacted the mail carrier who confirmed the delivery of the package and stated that the package had been left at the front door of her apartment building. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 2:51 PM and 3:00 PM (8/21) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a past larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that sometime while he was in a local restaurant, his wallet was taken from his rear pants pocket. Police were informed that the restaurant is equipped with video surveillance and will be following up on the case.

Occurred between 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM (9/04) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Officers met with the reporting party who stated that while she was in a local store, an unknown suspect took her wallet. The wallet is described as a cowhide wallet containing the victim’s credit cards and personal papers. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 1:44 PM (9/05) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter at a local store. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party, a store employee, who stated that he observed a female subject place two packages of perfume into her purse. Police subsequently located and spoke with the suspect. The suspect will be summonsed into Brookline District Court for shoplifting.

Occurred 4:12 PM (9/05) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a fleeing shoplifter. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the store’s security guard who stated that when the store’s alarm was set off, he observed a female subject carry multiple pairs of blue jeans out of the store and flee in a motor vehicle driven by a male subject. Police were unable to locate the suspects but will be conducting a follow-up investigation.

Occurred 12:40 PM (9/06) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that he forgot his cell phone in the recreation room of his apartment building. When the victim returned for his cell phone, he discovered it missing from the table he had left it on. Police are following up on the case.


Occurred between 4:40 PM and 4:45 PM (9/07) – Beacon St.


Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that while she was at work, she briefly left her office to use the restroom. When she returned, she discovered her wallet missing from her purse. The wallet contained the victim’s license, social security card, debit cards, credit cards and cash. Police are following up on the case.


Burglary

Occurred between 2:00 PM (9/03) and 3:00 PM (9/05) – Rice St.

Police responded to a report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that her apartment had been broken into sometime during the weekend. She informed officers that she had been away from her apartment during this time and discovered several of her roommates’ items disturbed when she returned. Police are following up on the case.

Malicious Damage


Occurred 12:10 AM (9/06) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. Officers met with the reporting party who stated that sometime while she was sleeping, someone threw a rock through her living room window. Officers spoke a witness who stated that she observed two male suspects throw a rock at the victim’s apartment and flee. The suspects are described as white males, around 18-19 years of age, with a medium build, and approximately 5'7 to 5’8. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 8:00 PM (9/05) and 8:30 AM (9/06) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that when he returned to his fruit store, he discovered a bench had been pushed through his store’s side window. A report was filed.


Occurred between 11:00 PM (9/06) and 12:00 PM (9/07) – Newton St.


Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that the previous night she left her black Honda sedan parked in her assigned parking space. When she returned the following day, she discovered damage to her vehicle’s doors, trunk, and windshield. A report was filed.


Occurred between 12:30 AM and 12:52 AM (9/07) – Winthrop Rd.


Police responded to a report of malicious damage. Officers met with the reporting parties, two female roommates, who stated that prior to officers’ arrival, they had uninvited male guests in their residence who were causing a disturbance. They informed officers that as one of the males was leaving, he broke a handrail outside their residence. Police requested that the male subject be summonsed into Brookline District Court for the charge of malicious damage

Sept. 1st – Sept. 2nd

Arrest

Occurred 9:23 PM (9/02) – Longwood Ave. / Kent St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that he did not have a valid driver’s license to operate in Mass. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for being not duly licensed.

Fraud

Occurred between 10:00 AM and 11:56 AM (9/01) – VFW Park

Police responded to a report of a credit card fraud. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while she was online looking at her bank account, she discovered four unauthorized withdrawals had been made from her account. She informed officers that she was still in possession of her card and does not know of anyone who would have done this. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 7:15 AM and 4:15 PM (9/01) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. Officers met with the victim who stated that upon returning home, he discovered his front window open and his personal belongings out of order. Items reported missing include a laptop, pearl necklace, backpack, and prescription medicine. Police will be conducting a follow-up investigation.

Larceny

Occurred between 9:00 AM (8/29) and 11:00 AM (8/30) – School St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Officers met with the victim who reported that when she returned home, she discovered her IPad computer missing. Police will be conducting a follow-up investigation.

Occurred between 2:30 PM and 5:45 PM (9/01) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a pickpocket. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while she was shopping, she assisted a male subject in the store. When she was done helping the subject, she discovered her debit card and a large sum of cash missing from her wallet. Police are requesting a copy of the store’s surveillance footage and will be conducting a follow-up investigation.

Occurred 4:11 PM (9/01) – Harvard St

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter. Officers spoke with the reporting party, a store employee who stated that he observed a female subject place a book in her bag and exit the store. He informed officers that the store is equipped with video surveillance. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 9:12 AM (9/02) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that sometime while she was in a local store, her wallet was taken from her purse. The wallet contained the victim’s credit card and cash. Police are following up on the case.

Aug. 30th – Aug. 31st

Larceny

Occurred between 1:00 AM and 8:11 AM (8/30) – Prince St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim reported that sometime during the night while her car was parked in her driveway, an unknown suspect removed the front grill from her vehicle. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM (8/30) – Chestnut St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that someone had stolen her children’s bicycles from her front porch. One bike is described as a grey boy’s Diamondback Kalamar and the other bike is a blue girl’s Diamondback Vital. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 8:45 AM and 1:00 PM (8/26) – Pond Ave.

Police responded to a report of a past larceny. The victim reported that sometime while she was at work, her black Apple IPod was taken from her apartment. She informed officers that the building is currently having work done and there were numerous building workers in and out of her apartment building during the time of the incident. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 10:00 AM (8/30) and 9:00 AM (8/31) – Boylston St.

Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle theft from a local truck rental company. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the manager who stated that while he was conducting an inventory, he discovered one of his trailer vehicles missing. The trailer was last seen the previous day and was stored unlocked in the front entrance-area of the parking lot. A report was filed.

Occurred between 9:00 AM (8/29) and 9:00 AM (8/31) – Lee St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that sometime during the past days, one of his flower pots was stolen from his property. The pot is described as a golden yellow cast iron flower pot. A report was filed.

Occurred between 12:30 PM and 1:55 PM (8/31) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Officers met with the victim who stated that while she was at work, a male subject came into the store and stole her Blackberry cell phone. She informed officers that the store is equipped with video surveillance. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM (8/31) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny at a local business office. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while she was with a client, an unknown suspect came into her office and stole her wallet. The wallet contained the victim’s license and insurance card. A report was filed.

Occurred between 3:15 PM and 4:00 PM (8/31) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny at a local restaurant. The victim stated that while she was eating her purse was stolen. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM (8/31) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny at a local gym. The victim stated that while he was at the gym, he put his money clip containing his driver’s license, debit card, and driver’s license into his locker prior to working out. When he returned to the locker, he discovered the money clip and his belonging missing. A report was filed.
