Oct. 7th

Larceny

Occurred between 6:15 PM and 6:27 PM (10/07) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that while she was in a local store, she briefly left her bike unlocked by a parking meter. When she returned, she discovered her bike missing. Police subsequently conducted a local area search and located the victim’s bike around the corner. The bike was subsequently returned to its owner.

Occurred between 7:01 PM and 7:35 PM (10/07) – Verndale St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny of a bicycle. Officers met with the reporting party who stated he observed a black male subject take a bike off his neighbors’ front porch and flee. Officers subsequently conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Police notified the owner of the bike about the incident and are following up on the case.

Fraud

Occurred between 6:16 PM (10/04) and 6:16 PM (10/07) – Addington Rd.

Police responded to a report of a fraud. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that the previous day she was contacted by her bank about possible fraudulent activity on her checking account. At this time, she discovered two checks had been made and cashed without her authorization. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 6:30 PM (10/05) and 8:15 AM (10/07) – Heath Hill Rd.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering from a local residence. Officers met with the victim who stated that upon entering his property, he discovered a large amount of copper piping missing from his basement rafters and entry was gained. Police are following up on the case.
