April 14th

Arrest

Occurred 8:38AM (4/14) – 1200 Beacon St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. After identifying the driver, officers discovered that her license was expired. The driver was subsequently arrested for being not duly licensed.

Occurred 7:22PM (4/14) – 1145 Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a white male walking down Beacon Street huffing. Officers located the suspect and observed him holding a can up to his nose. When officers instructed the man to stop, the suspect held the can up and huffed again, then dropped it. The man was arrested for inhaling a toxic substance.

Larceny

Occurred between 8:13PM and 8:30PM (4/14) – 525 Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter at a local TJ Maxx store. An employee stated that he had observed the shoplifter tear tags off of several articles of clothing and place the clothes under a baby blanket located in his son’s baby carriage. The suspect was subsequently arrested for shoplifting.

Occurred between 11:50AM and 7:30PM (4/14) – 1776 Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a stolen laptop. The victim stated that after returning to her apartment from school and errands, she realized her laptop was missing. The victim’s roommates had no knowledge of the missing laptop. Police are following up on the case.
