March 29th

Fraud

Occurred between 12:00PM (3/18) and 12:00PM (3/29) – Lancaster Terrace

Police responded to a report of identity theft. The victim stated that he had received a message from the Verizon Verification department asking about a suspicious order of five blackberry cell phones being shipped to Florida. After calling and stopping the order, the victim was also informed that his social security number and date of birth were used in the purchase. Police are following up on the case.

Arson

Occurred 8:07PM (3/29) – Fisher Ave.

Police responded to a report of a fire alarm. Firefighters noticed that there was a detached and charred light switch on the wall and burnt paper in a trash can below. The fire was deemed to have been started intentionally. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 5:30PM (3/28) and 8:20AM (3/29) – Saint Paul St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that he parked his vehicle in the designated spot and when he returned in the morning, he found his front passenger window was smashed. He also noticed that someone had gone through his glove compartment. A digital camera and battery charger were missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 7:00PM (3/28) and 8:48AM (3/29) – Saint Paul St.

While responding to the previous breaking and entering and larceny or a motor vehicle call, officers noticed another vehicle with the front passenger window smashed. After locating the owner, it was discovered that a GPS unit was missing from the glove compartment. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 8:00PM (3/28) and 8:00AM (3/29) – Baker Circle

Victim reported to police that she woke up to find her vehicle had been broken into. A GPS unit was missing from the vehicle as well as a pink change purse. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 6:20AM and 4:20PM (3/29) – Mason Terrace

Victim reported to police that she returned from work to find that her laptop was missing from her bedroom. There were also there digital cameras taken as well as a safe from her closet. Entry was made through the victim’s window. Police are following up on the case.
