Threats

8-27-09 0800 hours Schick Park

Victim states a male subject threatened her with his three dogs in Schick Park. She informed him she was calling the police and he left the area.

Malicious Destruction

8-27-09 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Victim reports he parked his car near the intersection of Pleasant and Freeman streets and that his car window was damaged by a sharp object, possibly a key.

8-26-09 0700 hours Freeman and Pleasant St

Victim stated he parked his car near Freeman and Pleasant streets and returned around 3:30 p.m. to find a good portion of his vehicle had been damaged by a sharp object, possibly a key.

Larceny by False Pretense

The victim found an apartment to rent on Garrison Rd. and paid a deposit approximately one month ago which included first and last month’s rent and a security deposit. When given the keys to the apartment, they failed to work. Since then, she has not been able to contact the person she made the payment to and believes she was scammed as the money was withdrawn from her account.

Larceny

8-27-09 1300 hours Harvard St.

Victim reported her purse was stolen after she had left it on a chair while she ordered food at Brueggers Bagels. Police are following up on the case.

Annoying and Accosting/Assault and Battery

8-27-09 1500 hours 15 Harvard St

Victim reports her and her niece were approached by a male who they did not know and began to strike up an inappropriate conversation. The man, without any consent or right to do so, placed his hands on the victim. Suspect was located placed under arrest.

Warrant Arrest

8-28-09 0155 hours Boylston St

A male subject was stopped for speeding on Boylston St. When queried, police located an active warrant for her arrest. She was subsequently arrested.

Residential Burglary

8/28/09 0800 hours Beacon St

A reporting party noticed a neighbor’s window screen was pried open. Officers noticed a $10 bill and a local restaurant receipt on the ground outside. The resident did not hear or see anything during the night. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

• Occurred between 9:15PM (8/26) and 9:30PM (8/22) – Alwyngton Rd.

Victim reported he observed someone broke into his car and stole his GPS. Victim stated that he gave chase to the individual and was given back his GPS. The suspect was described as a white male, about 5’10,” with a medium build, had short dark hair, was wearing a white t-shirt, and dark jeans. The vehicle and the GPS will be processed.

ID Fraud

• Occurred 11:12AM (8/26) – High St.

Victim reported that someone had been using his company account to pay their bills for various companies. Victim made his company aware of the fraudulent charges.

Larceny

• Occurred 1:59PM (8/26) – Harris St.

Victim reported that a black canvas bad containing old video equipment and half the contents of her bureaus jewelry drawer were missing from her apartment. There were no signs of forced entry on both the front and back doors. Police will have the scene processed.

• Occurred between 7:00PM (8/25) and 4:30PM (8/26) – 89 Mason Tr.

Victim reported having found that his motorcycle license plate was missing. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred between 5:15PM (8/26) and 5:20PM (8/26) – Washington St/Pond Av

Police noticed a suspicious individual run into a local store with what appeared to be an empty bagpack. Police noticed that as soon the suspect came out the store, the bagpack seemed heavier and full. Police checked the video footage of the store and observed that the suspect had stolen a great deal of medication. Police stopped the suspect. The suspect was placed under arrest for shoplifting. The stolen merchandise was placed into evidence.

Malicious Damage

• Occurred between 10:30PM (8/25) and 10:45PM (8/25) – Kilsyth Rd.

Victim stated that her house had been damaged by eggs. Victim believes it could be her neighbor due to past conflicts and having found an egg carton on the curb of the suspect’s house. The carton will be placed into evidence

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of Motor Vehicle

• Occurred 2:33AM (8/25) – 132 Pleasant St.

Police received a car in regards to three males that were checking car door handles in a parking lot. All three males were located and placed under arrest and will be charged with Breaking and Entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony. They will also be facing charges for receiving stolen property.

Burglary

• Occurred between 1:00PM (8/25) and 5:30PM (8/25) – Middlesex Rd.

Victims stated that they suspect that their step-son had broken into their house and stolen a large sum of coins. Police found no signs of forced entry and believe that the suspect may have a key. A request has been made to summons suspect on charged of Breaking and Entering during the day and larceny from a building.

Fraud

• Occurred 8:52PM (8/25) – Englewood Av.

Victim reported that she had ordered a new debit card in the mail, but had yet to receive it. She stated that she was made aware of a series of charges made by the use of the debit card she never received. Detectives will be following up on the case.

Graffiti

• Occurred between 8:00PM (8/24) and 9:00AM (8/25) – 194 Aspinwall Av.

Victim reported having been woken up due to noisy youth outside her house. Victim was unable to identify the two young males due to the dark night. Victim stated that she went to check on her fence and found that it had been spray painted. Police found a utility pole having been painted by the same color. Photos were taken and the marks will be removed by a contractor.

Larceny

• Occurred between 3:00PM (8/24) and 10:06AM (8/25) – 69 Clinton Rd.

Victim stated that someone had broken into her vehicle. The items that went missing from the vehicle were: a game boy system along with a game and her pocketbook. Detectives will be processing the scene.

• Occurred between 7:30PM (1/22) and 12:02AM (1/23) – 51 Egmont St.

Police observed a suspect circling the block several times and observing the neighborhood. Suspect proceeded to steal a bike and ride off on it. Police were able to catch up to the suspect and question him in regards to the bike. Suspect also had a warrant out for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and the bike was seized for evidence.

• Occurred between 5:20PM (8/25) and 5:31PM (8/25) – 285 Harvard St.

Victim reported that she was at a local coffee shop when she was approached by an unknown male. She stated when she went to grab her purse it was gone. Victim described the suspect as a dark skin black male, 6’2,” large build, was wearing a plaid shirt, denim jacket, and had a goatee. When police questioned other individuals, an employee stated that he had noticed a small hoop earring in the left ear of the suspect. Victim will be canceling her credit cards. The cup that the suspect had held will be placed into evidence for processing.

Malicious Damage

• Occurred between 6:00PM (8/20) and 8:00PM (8/20) – St Paul St/Commonwealth Av.

Victim notified police of having found his vehicle damaged by an unknown assailant. The entire vehicle, including the trunk and hood, had been keyed. Police are following up on the case.

Warrant Apprehension

• Occurred 1:14AM (8/25) – Boylston St/Chestnut Hill Av.

Suspect was stopped by police due to driving above the posted speed limit. Suspect was asked for his license and registration. A check of the license revealed that it was expired. Police also found that there was a straight felony warrant issued for the suspect. Suspect was placed under arrest for traffic offenses and the straight warrant.

Burglary

• Occurred between 8:00AM (8/24) and 5:30PM (8/24) – Longwood Av.

Victim reported that her laptop was missing from her apartment. Victim stated that she was attempting to sell a few items recently and that one of the individuals had her address. Victim had found the back door of her apartment unlocked.

Possession Marijuana

• Occurred 2:08AM (8/24) – 138 Winchester St.

Police reported to a scene of a suspect that had fled a scene of an assault and battery. While the suspect was being questioned, officers noticed that the suspect was acting and behaving in a manner one would after consumption of drugs. During the search they recovered a plastic bag of marijuana. Suspect was placed under arrest. He will be issued a MA Uniform Citation for possession with Intent to Distribute Class D.

I.D Fraud

• Occurred between 11:31AM (11/8) and 11:31AM (8/23) – Tappan St.

Victim reported having been notified about a loan that been taken out using her name and social security number. Victim was able to notify the bank of the fraudulent occurrence. Victims bank statements and letters to and from her bank will be submitted into evidence.

Larceny

• Occurred between 12:45AM (8/18) and 1:15PM (8/18) – 888 Commonwealth Av.

Victim reported that her wallet had been stolen out of her bag while she was at a local restaurant. Victim stated that she had placed that bag on the floor. Victim will be canceling her credit cards and was advised to contact her bank.

• Occurred between 7:30PM (8/21) and 9:00PM (8/21) – 185 Freeman St.

Victim reported that several of his items were stolen while he was in the process of moving. Victim was told by the concierge that he may view the video footage so that he may be able to see who may have taken the items.

• Occurred between 5:15AM (8/23) and 6:05AM (8/23) – 6 Claflin Rd/2 Claflin Rd.

Subject reported having seen two black males physically pick up someone’s scooter and place it into a U-Haul truck. The individuals had driven away, but the subject had caught a glimpse of the license plate. Police were able to stop the truck and question the individuals. Both males were charged with larceny property and conspiracy to commit a crime. The U-Haul truck was towed.

• Occurred 12:39AM (8/23) – 99 Harvard St.

A store employee stated having seen an individual leave the store without paying for a can of baby formula. Suspect was described as a black male, approximately 35 to 40 years of age, was wearing a white shirt with black stripes, and had no facial hair. Police were able to obtain a photo of the suspect who was positively identified by the store’s employee. An application for a summons will be submitted.

• Occurred between 1:33PM (8/22) and 1:33 PM (8/23) – `Beacon St.

Victim reported that the front license plate of his car was missing. A search of the surrounding area could not locate the plate. The vehicle had no signs of damage or temperament. A stolen motor vehicle report will be filed.

Malicious Damage

• Occurred between 8:00PM (8/20) and 8:00AM (8/21) – 159 High St.

Victim reported having found her front storm door window shattered. Victim will be notifying the landlord to make the repairs.

Motor Vehicle Theft

• Occurred 12:00AM (8/23) – 1195 Boylston St.

Victim reported having gone into a local store to purchase a drink while having left his car running. Victim stated that he came back and his car was gone. Victims car was a 2007 “electric blue” Hyundai. Police will be following up on the case.

Operating after Revocation

• Occurred 3:30AM (8/22) – 300 Kent St.

Victim had stopped police in regards to having almost been hit by a vehicle. Police gave pursuit to the suspect’s vehicle once victim pointed it out. Suspect was asked for his license and registration. Suspect stated that his license had been revoked. Suspect was placed under arrest for operating after revocation. Suspect’s vehicle was released to the registered owner.

Larceny

• Occurred between 7:30PM (8/19) and 6:37AM (8/20) – 22 Searle Av.

Victim reported that two bikes were stolen off his front porch. Victim stated that the bikes had been locked together by a chain which was taken as well. There were no witnesses to the crime.

Warrant

• Occurred 2:30AM (8/20) – 1157 Beacon St.

Suspect had been in a park that was closed to the public after dark. Due to the suspicious activity, police pursued the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Police learned that the suspect had a suspended license and a straight warrant. Due to the suspended license and the warrant, the suspect was placed under arrest. Suspect’s vehicle was released to a family member and he was issued a citation for operating after suspension.

Domestic Abuse

• Occurred 2:03AM (8/19) – Independence Dr.

Victim reported a verbal dispute that became physical. Victim states that during the argument his girlfriend assaulted. The offender was placed under arrest for Domestic Assault and Battery.

Warrant Apprehension

• Occurred 12:51AM (8/19) – 300 South St.

A suspect was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant. The individual’s property was taken and secured at the station.

Larceny

• Occurred 1:51PM (8/19) – 888 Commonwealth Av.

Victim reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse while she was at a local restaurant. Another customer stated that she had seen two suspicious males around where the victim was seated. Customer described one of the male suspects to be between 20 and 30 years old and was wearing a green shirt with a thin white stripe across. Victim was advised to cancel her credit cards.

Fraud

• Occurred between 12:30PM (7/29) and 10:15AM (8/5) – Dwight St.

Victim reported having been informed by his credit company about some suspicious transactions. Victim’s credit card was canceled.

ID Fraud

• Occurred 7:32PM (8/19) – Beacon St.

Victim reported that an unknown individual had somehow managed to change her address on her debit account. Victim was concerned due to the personal information that is normally required for an address change. Police are following up on the case.

Sexual Asssault

At approximately 2:20 A.M. on the morning of August 18, 2009 a female resident of the Town of Brookline was walking on Harvard St. in the Coolidge Corner Area. Allegedly, two male suspects struck the victim on the head from behind, strangled her and put her into a red pick-up truck that was waiting on a nearby side street.

The assailants placed her in the back seat of the truck and sexually assaulted her. The victim described the assailants as two Hispanic males, approximately 5’10”, in their twenties or thirties; wearing dark shirts and white pants. One suspect was described to be approximately 175 pounds, while the other is thought to be a little heavier.

Larceny

• Occurred 10:29AM (8/18) – 39 Columbia St.

Victim reported that her bike was stolen from the railing of her porch. Victim didn’t notice anyone suspicious in the area of her home.

Burglary

• Occurred between 2:00PM (8/18) and 6:00PM (8/18) – 1029 Beacon St.

Victim reported that he found the front door to her apartment partially open. Upon having entered the apartment, victim noticed that his TV was missing. Also missing was cash from the victim’s night stand drawer. The drawer from the stand was left lying on the floor along with several other items. There were no signs of forced entry or any damaged locks. Neighbors reported having seen an individual that had walked out from the apartment complex with a blue shoulder bag. The suspect was described as a black male in his mid 20’s, approximately 5’10,” with a thin build, wearing a dark colored shirt, blue baggy jean shorts, and a brown baseball cap. The victim’s neighbor’s stated that the male was accompanied by a white or light skinned female, approximately in her 20’s, 5’5,” thin build, wearing a blue sun dress, and sun glasses.

Assault

• Occurred between 11:32PM (8/18) and 11:52PM (8/18) – Beacon St/Washington St.

Victims reported having heard breaking glass while out on a stroll. All four parties decided to investigate where the noise had come from. A few seconds later a Grey hatchback Volvo came around and started throwing eggs at the victims. Victims stated that the Volvo contained four college aged white males.

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

• Occurred between 8:50AM (8/14) and 9:00AM (8/15) – 32 Kent St.

Victim reported that the company van he drives had a smashed driver’s side window. The only item missing was the GPS unit. Police will be following up on the incident with the company manager.

• Occurred 3:11AM (8/16) – Commonwealth Av/Naples Rd.

Police observed a male suspect trying to break into several locked vehicles. Suspect was approached by police. Police found a mini-mag flashlight and an I-phone charger on the suspect during a pat and frisk. Both items were submitted into evidence. Suspect was placed under arrest and taken to the station for booking.

• Occurred between 10:30AM (8/15) and 12:29PM (8/16) – 143 Freeman St.

Victim reported that her neighbor had found her car door on the drivers side left open. Victim stated that the only item missing was her GPS unit from her glove compartment. The vehicle had no signs of pry-marks or other signs of forced-entry.

Burglary

• Occurred 2:30PM (8/15) and 12:31AM (8/16) – Hurd Rd.

Victims reported that their apartment had been broken into through the kitchen window. The victims found tares by each of the locking/lifting mechanisms of the window. Victims stated that the back door to the apartment had been left wide open and the rear exterior door had been left unlocked as well. Many items had been disturbed around the apartment. Victims found that a few of their possessions were missing: an Apple MacBook laptop, two jewelry boxes, and a Palm Pilot. Detectives will be processing the scene.

Domestic Abuse

• Occurred 2:11AM (8/17) – High St.

Victim reported that her husband was being physically abusive.Victim stated in detail the series of events that caused her to call police. Based on the details provided, the suspect was placed under arrest for A&B Domestic.

Domestic Dispute

• Occurred 11:45AM (8/17) – Clyde St.

Police responded to a dispute between three siblings that resulted in injuries to their mother. Two of the siblings were placed under arrest for domestic assault and battery. Police questioned the third sibling in regards to what happened. Photos were taken of the damage that had been caused within the dwelling during the dispute. The third sibling was placed under arrest and charged with Domestic A&B, A&B – Dangerous Weapon, and Malicious Damage. The mother of the siblings was taken to the hospital for medical attention.

Fraud

• Occurred between 12:00AM (7/16) and 8:50PM (8/17) – Seaver St.

Victim reported having been contacted by her credit card company in regards to a few fraudulent charges. Victim stated that she immediately changed her account number. Victim was advised to contact the necessary credit reporting agencies.

Graffiti

• Occurred between 9:00PM (8/15) and 9:00AM (8/16) – 1904 Beacon St.

Victim reported graffiti marks on the curb and street in front of her apartment building. Photos were taken of the marks and will be placed in evidence.

ID Fraud

• Occurred between 10:00AM (8/14) and 2:00PM (8/14) – Rawson Rd.

Victim reported of several transactions and withdrawals that had been made from her account without her knowledge. Victim had closed her account and contacted the credit bureau to monitor her identity. Photocopies of the withdrawals and transactions were submitted into evidence.

Larceny

• Occurred 9:45PM (8/14) – 102 Davis Av.

Victim reported that both of his mountain bikes had been stolen from his driveway. Police requested that other units keep an eye out for the bikes.

• Occurred between 1:10PM (8/14) and 3:00PM (8/14) – 40 Webster St.

Victim reported that her jewelry was taken from the bathroom sink while she had been out. A housekeeper was questioned in regards to the missing items and she stated having allowed an unidentified male into the room. She stated that the suspect was medium built, approximately 6’1,” was wearing a white t-shirt and white color shorts, had a light skin complexion, a blue cap concealed his face, and he had a black satchel bag.

• Occurred 2:21PM (8/15) – 1002 Beacon St.

Victim reported that her credit card had been left at a restaurant. Upon having gone back to retrieve the card, victim was told that it was no longer in their possession. Victim was later contacted that day by her credit card company in regards to three fraudulent charges. The locations where the purchases were made had been contacted and the female that had been described was verified by the victim as her waitress from the restaurant. The suspect was taken in for questioning and then released. A request of a summons for possession and/or receiving a lost or stolen credit card was also made.

• Occurred 10:01PM (8/15) – 33 Aspinwall Av.

Victim reported that she had observed a white male trying to steal the front wheel off her bike. Victim had scared the suspect off. Upon having observed the bike, victim found that the pedals had been stolen.

• Occurred between 7:00PM (8/14) and 5:00PM (8/15) – 47 Cotswold Rd.

Victim reported that his bike was stolen from his driveway. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred between 10:00AM (8/17) and 3:45PM (8/17) – 247 Walnut St.

Victim reported that her mountain bike was stolen off her porch. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred 4:45PM (8/17) and 5:15PM (8/17) – 47 Crowninshield Rd.

Victim reported that his bike was stolen from the side porch. Victim had no further information about the bike. Police will follow up on the case.

• Occurred between 4:00PM (8/17) and 8:30PM (8/17) – 191 Clyde St.

An employee of a fitness center contacted police in regards to an LCD TV that had been stolen off the wall in a fitness room. Police observed the scene and it appeared that the culprit had used a chair to pry the television off the bracket. A metal curl bar that had been found on the ground and a Motorola cable box will be taken for processing. The center is currently working on submitting the surveillance footage.

Malicious Damage

• Occurred between 6:00PM (8/13) and 7:00AM (8/14) – 20 Stearns Rd.

Victim reported that his vehicle had sustained a large incision upon its rear driver’s side tire. The flat was caused presumably by force with a large sized knife.

• Occurred between 6:30PM (8/13) and 7:00AM (8/14) – 20 Stearns Rd.

Victim reported having found his car tire with an incision, presumably forcefully stabbed by a large sized knife. A surrounding area check was unable to locate an instrument/knife used to slash the tire.

• Occurred between 7:00PM (8/13) and 7:00AM (8/14) – 20 Stearns Rd.

Victim reported a deep incision having been made on the rear driver’s side tire of his car. It seems that the incision may have been made with a large sized knife. Victim is unsure of who may have wanted to damage his car.

• Occurred between 7:00PM (8/13) and 7:00AM (8/14) – 20 Stearns Rd.

Police observed that an individual’s car tire had been slashed. The damage was consistent with the rash of other vandalism that occurred overnight. Police will be contacting the owner.

• Occurred 1:44AM (8/16) – 1471 Beacon St.

Victim reported having been assaulted by an uninvited guest that had shown up at his party. Victim stated that a fight had broke out due to him having received the first punch. The two were charged with disorderly conduct and will be summonsed to court.

• Occurred between 9:00PM (8/15) and 9:00AM (8/16) – 1904 Beacon St.

A resident of an apartment building contacted police in regards to having found the front door window to the complex having been damaged. Resident also made aware of graffiti marks on the curb and street in front of the building. Police will be following up on the case.

• Occurred between 9:00PM (8/15) and 9:00AM (8/16) – 1902 Beacon St.

Victim reported damage to the front foyer door window of an apartment building she owned. Photos of the scene were taken and will be placed into evidence.

• Occurred between 6:00PM (8/16) and 8:30AM (8/17) – 14 Linden St.

Victim reported having found the side rear passenger window of her vehicle smashed. Victim stated that nothing was missing from the vehicle. Victim contacted her insurance company so that the damage could be fixed.

Fraud

• Occurred 11:29PM (8/13) – 7 Naples Rd.

Victim reported a number of unknown withdrawals made from her bank account. Victim will be filing an alert with her bank to avoid future incidents. Police took a copy of the transactions for evidence.

Graffiti

• Occurred 8:18AM (8/13) – 1470 Beacon St.

A local building manager called police when having been made aware by a tenant of graffiti marks within the building and on the tenants moped. Victim walked the officer around the various parts of the building that had been marked as well. All graffiti marks were photographed and submitted into evidence.

Larceny

• Occurred between 6:00PM (8/12) and 1:00PM (8/13) – 237 Washington St.

An employee of a local book store stated that two Harry-Potter box-sets had been stolen. Victim described the suspect as a Caucasian female, approximately 40 years old, had a long ponytailed grey hair, and missing several teeth. The female suspect was accompanied by an African-American male, approximately five years old, and had short curly hair. Police will be following up on the case.

• Occurred 4:28PM (8/13) – 168 Aspinwall Av.

Police responded to a call in regards to an individual having observed to young males trying to steal a bike off her neighbor’s porch. Police were made aware of what the boys were wearing and how they both fled on one bike. The boys were identified and were released to their parents. The suspects and the parents were informed that they will be summonsed to court. The bike the suspects had been riding was entered into evidence.

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

• Occurred 8:53AM (8/12) – 145 Babcock St.

Victim reported that someone had broken into her vehicle by smashing the driver’s side window. Victim stated that the only item missing was her GPS unit. Detectives will be processing the scene

Fraud

• Occurred 10:05AM (7/8) – Alberta Rd.

Victim contacted police after discovering that his bank account was being accessed by an unknown individual. Victim contacted the bank and was made aware that someone was attempting to steal his identity. The unknown suspect was trying to change the victims account info and transfer the funds into a new account. A copy of the debit card and the letter from credit bureau, not finding the victim responsible, will be submitted into evidence.

Larceny

• Occurred between 7:30AM (8/12) and 1:00PM (8/12) – Russett Rd.

Victim reported having found that her wallet was missing from her purse. Victim stated that she usually places the purse in an office at work to which many individuals have access to. Victim will be canceling her credit cards.

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

• Occurred between 1:54AM (8/11) and 3:49AM (8/11) – George LN.

Victim stated that he had seen an individual near his car which activated the motion lights of his private off-street driveway. Victim described the individual as a tall male, approximately 5’10”-6’0,” and wore dark clothing. Victim was unsure as to whether or not the suspect had made any contact with the vehicle. Nothing had been missing and there was no damage to the vehicle.

Larceny

• Occurred between 9:00PM (8/9) and 7:30PM (8/11) – 25 University RD.

While moving out of his apartment, victim reported that he had left behind his TV mounted on the wall, bags of trash, and few other items. Victim had taken the interior door off its hinges but had locked the lower door with a dead bolt. Upon having returned a few days later, victim found that someone had placed the door back on it hinges and his TV was missing. Also missing was the trash bags and the other left behind items. Victim brought the TV stand to the police station for processing.

Assault

• Occurred between 12:21AM (8/10) and 1:00PM (8/10) – 1386 Beacon St.

Police responded to a call of an armed robbery with a large knife. The suspect fled the store. The suspect was described as a tall male in his thirties, possibly Hispanic, he wore a surgical mask, had a white shirt with black stripes, and dark pants. Detectives will be conducting a follow up investigation.

Burglary

• Occurred between 10:30PM (8/7) and 8:30PM (8/9) – Hammond Pond PK.

Victim reported that someone had broken into his home through the rear door and had stolen money from his nightstand. Victim states that the door had been locked and upon police observation there were several pry marks found. Victim was advised to call his insurance company. Detectives will be processing the entry door and the bedroom furniture.

ID Fraud

• Occurred between 1:00PM (8/4) and 8:50PM (8/10)

Victim reported having been contacted by a local store with whom she had a credit card. Victim was questioned about a second credit card account that had been recently opened. Victim was further contacted by a second store for another credit card that needed verification before being issued. Victim notified both stores that her identity was stolen. Victim was advised to contact the credit card companies and cancel her cards.

Warrant Default

• Occurred 2:41AM (8/10) – 675 Washington St.

Police responded to a call of a verbal argument between two individuals. Upon arrival police determined that the disagreement was a verbal argument and no crime was committed. Police arrested one of the parties due to an active Default Warrant.

Assault

• Occurred 10:53AM (8/7) – 15 Egmont St.

Victim stated that during a verbal dispute with her ex, he had assaulted her. Police were able to locate the suspect and question him. Police placed the suspect under arrest for two counts of A&B Domestic, A&B&D&W (Scissors), and child endangerment.

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

• Occurred between 12:30PM (8/7) and 8:00AM (8/7) – 171 Heath St.

Victim reported that someone had broken into his car by smashing the right front passenger window. Victim reports that the only thing missing was his wallet that held his credit cards. Victim will be canceling his credit cards.

• Occurred between 5:45AM (8/7) and 11:40AM (8/7) – Brookline Av/Aspinwall Av.

Victim reported having found his vehicle’s front passenger side window broken. Victim states that his GPS system is missing along with his wallet that contained his license and credit cards. A passing individual informed police that they had found parts of a GPS system scattered along the sidewalk. Police placed the parts into evidence. Detectives will be processing the vehicle.

• Occurred 2:56AM (8/8)

Police responded to a parking lot where a suspected individual had been seen attempting to break into a number of vehicles. Police were given a description of the suspect and were able to locate him in a nearby alley. Suspect stated that he was lost and had been drinking earlier. Police contacted the owner’s of the vehicles that had been broken into and were able to return each individuals missing property. Suspect was placed under arrest for three counts of B+E to a motor vehicle, three counts of larceny from a motor vehicle, and one count of possession of burglarious tools (utility knife).

• Occurred 4:28PM (8/9) – Washington St/Pond Av.

Police responded to a call by a security guard in regards to a vehicle that was found having been broken into. The owner arrived on scene after having been contacted by police. Victim stated that his GPS device was missing from the glass mug in the center console area. The glass mug will be submitted into evidence.
Larceny

• Occurred between 7:00AM (8/6) and 3:30PM (8/6) – 503 Washington St.

Victim states that a garbage bag full of clothing meant for donation was stolen off the front deck of his house. Victim states that he had placed two bags out but only one was taken.

• Occurred 3:36PM (8/6) – 1329 Beacon St.

Victim reported that a Dell Laptop was taken from his store. Victim had observed a black skinny male walk into the store, place the laptop in his bag, and then walk out the door. The suspect was described as approximately 5’6,” in his 40’s, was overweight, white shirt, pork pie hat, and sunglasses. Police will be receiving a copy of the video surveillance.

• Occurred 10:30PM (8/6) – 1 Cypress Playground

Victim stated that his camera was stolen off a park bench that he was seated at. Victim stated that he had chased after the suspect but was unable to catch him. Victim was unable to determine the suspects age, but described him as a white male with brown hair, 5’10” tall, about 170lbs, was wearing mesh shorts with a black tee shirt, and black baseball sneakers.

Malicious Damage

• Occurred between 6:00PM (8/6) and 8:00AM (8/7) – 194 Rawson Rd.

Victim reported that someone had keyed the entire right side of his car. Victim believes that the suspect individual could be the person he had a conflict with a few weeks before the current incident.

Victim stated that his parked motorcycle was found lying on the ground with a great deal of damage. There were no witnesses. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

• Occurred between 9:30PM (8/4) and 7:18AM (8/5) – 2 South St.

Victim reported that some unknown person had smashed the right rear passenger window of his vehicle. Victim states that a ladies leather purse, credit cards, and a diamond necklace were missing. There was no other damage to the car.

• Occurred between 2:00PM (8/4) and 8:00AM (8/5) – 30 Intervale Rd.

Police received a call on found property. Police were able to find the owner who stated that he had a break in of his vehicle the previous night. Victim stated that the only item missing was the bag that the officer had returned. Victim’s car had been left unlocked after the break in, nothing else was missing, and the vehicle had no damage.

Burglary

• Occurred 11:13AM (8/5) - Cottage St.
  

Police reported to a Central station alarm that had been set off due to a home break in. upon arrival to the residence police observed that the glass panes from the entry door had been broke, and the door was left unlocked. Police contacted the owner. Victim went through the house to see if anything was missing and found that the master bedroom had been rummaged through. Police located a cigarette box that was unknown to the victim. Detectives will be processing evidence and doing a follow up.

Fraud

• Occurred between 10:00AM (3/12) and 3:00PM (8/5) – 400 Washington St.

Victim reported that while incarcerated, an individual who had held onto her belongings had used her debit card. Victim stated that the individual was the only person that had custody of the card. Victim’s bank records in regards to the various charges will be placed into evidence. Victim was advised to all the proper jurisdictional police departments that corresponded with the charges on her account.

• Occurred between 4:00PM (7/28) and 6:50PM (8/5) – 264 Aspinwall Ave.

Victim reported that he had been notified by his bank of a fraudulent check that he had cashed. Victim stated that he had been selling items on the internet and had come across a potential customer. Victim was sent a check that was written for an amount more then what was needed. Victim was told to cash the check, take out the necessary fees/payment, and then write a check back to the provided address for the remaining amount. Victim was advised by the bank to file a police report so that the matter could be investigated.

Larceny

• Occurred 4:29PM (5/30) – 14 Jefferson Rd.

Victim reported that a package from FEDEX was missing from the room she had placed in. Victim reports that several other packages had been left untouched. Police are following up on the case.

Warrant-Default

• Occurred 2:42AM (8/5) – 0 Chestnut Hill T Stop

Police questioned a suspicious individual due to the suspect hanging around at a T stop during late hours when the T was not operating. Police learned that the suspect had an outstanding default Warrant for failing to appear. Due to the default warrant suspect was placed under arrest. During an inventory search police had to seize suspects expired license.

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

• Occurred between 5:00PM (8/1) and 9:00AM (8/3) – 0 Ashville Rd.

Victim reported that her vehicle had been broken into. Victim stated that nothing had been missing but her Steering wheel locking unit, “the club,” had been thrown on the grass.

Graffiti

• Occurred between 6:00PM (7/25) and 11:33AM (7/27) – 302 Harvard St.

Victim reported that graffiti tags had been scratched into the glass windows and glass door of his business. Victim believes the incident may have occurred over the weekend.

Police will be taking photos for evidence.

• Occurred 1:56PM (8/4) – 1 Gardner Path

Victim reported graffiti marks on the wall of his business. Upon arrival, police noticed several similar markings on different objects around the business. Photos were taken and the area was further examined to see if there were any other markings.

Larceny

• Occurred between 8:00PM (8/3) and 7:00AM (8/4) – 22 Searle Av.

Victim reported that his bike was stolen off the front porch of his home.

• Occurred between 7:00PM (7/27) and 10:00AM (7/31) – 30 Griggs Tr.

Victim reported that someone had broken into her vehicle and stolen her golf bag along with all the golf clubs that were in it. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

• Occurred between 4:45PM (8/3) and 10:30PM (8/3) – 57 Harris St.

Victim reported that an unknown male suspect was trying to make his way into the house. Victim states that the suspect had walked away quickly once victim had come down the stairs to see why his dog was barking. Victim saw the male get into the driver’s side of an unoccupied vehicle and drive off. The suspect was described as between the ages of 28-32, 5’9,” 150-160lbs, medium build, and unshaven. He was wearing a royal blue collared T-shirt, black shorts, and a white baseball hat. Victim described the vehicle as a 1997-2000 Black Honda Accord.

• Occurred between 5:00PM (8/3) and 11:52PM (8/3) – Pleasant St.

Victim reported that several bottles of body wash and bathroom products had been misplaced. Victim found her bathroom window unlocked and reported nothing had been missing. Police will follow up on the case

Assault

• Occurred 10:54AM (8/1) – Green St/Harvard St.

Victim reported having been struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk. Victim is in an elderly male. Victim was approached by the suspect and the two got into a dispute. Victim stated that he had been assaulted by the suspect and had sustained an injury. Witnesses reported having seen the altercation between the two individuals and the reported assault. Police took statements from both parties. The RMV check on suspect’s license came back suspended. Suspect was placed under arrest for Assault and battery with dangerous weapon, assault and battery on an elder person, operating after suspension, making a left turn where prohibited by sign, and failure to yield to pedestrian in crosswalk.

Attempted Sex Offense

• Occurred 9:44PM (8/2)
  

Victim reported that her boyfriend had arrived at her residence and had attempted to sexually assault her. Police interviewed the victim and she stated where the suspect lives. Police went to the suspect’s place of residence and he was interviewed. Suspect was placed under arrest for Assault with Intent to Rape.

Burglary

• Occurred 11:55PM (7/31) – 105 Browne St.

Victim stated that someone had entered her home through a rear window and stolen her laptop computer and jewelry. Victim stated that upon arrival, she observed that her window plant in the rear porch had been misplaced and her bedroom was left in disarray. Detectives will be processing the scene.

• Occurred between 11:00AM (7/31) and 2:00PM (7/31) – 338 Newton St.

Victim reported that someone had broken into his apartment and taken several pieces of jewelry. Victim stated that nothing else had been missing and no other property had been damaged. Detectives were on scene to process and photograph the apartment.

• Occurred 2:15AM (8/2) – 115 Greenough St.

Police responded to a silent alarm triggered at a local school. Upon arrival, officers discovered two minors inside the school. Officers took the minors to the station and contacted their parents. Officers informed both parties and their parents that a request of a follow-up by a juvenile officer will be made and a criminal complaint will be filed. Officer will be requesting a hearing for a B&E with Intent to Commit Misdemeanor (Trespass).

Flim-Flam

• Occurred 1:18PM (7/28) – Browne St.

Victim reported that during an apartment search, he was sending money to an individual whom he suspects is scamming him. Victim contacted police after realizing that he was continuously being asked for money and nothing more. Victim contacted his credit card company and stated the issue. Copies of the communication emails were submitted into evidence, as well as an overseas number.

Graffiti

• Occurred 10:17AM (8/1) – Beacon St/Lancaster Tr.

Police responded to a NSTAR electric box location due to graffiti marks. Police contacted NSTAR who will be removing the cover as soon they are able. Photos were taken of the scene.

• Occurred 4:19PM (8/1) – Washington St/Bartlett Cres.

Officer responded to a scene of a graffiti complaint. Upon arrival, officer observed graffiti marks on a sidewalk. Photos were taken and the DPW was contacted to have the marks removed.

Larceny

• Occurred between 5:15PM (8/1) and 5:20PM (8/1) – 170 Middlesex Rd.

Victim reported that her bag was taken from her front yard. She stated that also missing was a Credit Card. Victim stated that she had notified her bank of the theft.

Malicious Damage

• Occurred between 4:00AM (7/5) and 9:57AM (7/31) – 7 Timon Av.

Victim reported two incidents upon which he discovered a flat tire on his motor vehicle. Victim’s neighbor stated that she had observed another neighbor using an object against the tires one night. The suspected individual will be summoned to court and charged with Malicious Destruction of Property.

• Occurred between 10:00PM (7/30) and 9:00AM (7/31) – 192 Bonad Rd.

Victim reported that her right rear passenger door window of her car had been smashed by an unknown object overnight. Victim stated nothing had been missing from the car. Police are following up on the case.

• Occurred 3:31PM (8/2) – 227 Babcock St.

Police responded to a call from the HRI Hospital in regards to damage and out of control behavior by a patient. A request has been made to summon patient on charge of Malicious Damage.

Robbery

• Occurred between 3:38PM (8/1) and 3:53PM (8/1) – 1381 Beacon St.

Victim reported that an individual was seen taking cash out of the store’s register. Victim stated that the suspect was a regular and on this particular day had been accompanied by another male. Victim stated that he had given chase to the suspect after the money was taken, but was unable to keep up. Victim stated that the form of payment was a credit card, but a cross reference surfaced that the name on the card didn’t match the individual who had produced it. The scene was processed and photos were taken. Suspect was located and placed under arrest for robbery (unarmed).

Suicide Attempt

• Occurred 3:34PM (7/31)

Officers responded to caller’s home in regards to a suicide letter that her husband had left. Area police departments and the MBTA police were placed on alert for the individual. After hours of searching, a witness at a Red Line stop reported having seen him sleeping on a bench. Police located the individual who had taken a great amount of pills. Individual’s wife was notified.

Police were called on scene for an individual who had consumed a great deal of pills in an attempt to overdose. Police will be keeping a periodic check of the individual and make sure that he won’t pose as a threat to himself.
