September 27th Police Reports

Burglary

  • Occurred between 5PM (9/26) and 5:30AM (9/27)- 815 Newton Street

A Highway Department employee reported that sometime overnight an unknown suspect had gained entry into the lower bay area of the Highway Department and tampered with the buildings circuit breaker. No items were reported missing at this time.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 5:11PM (9/25)- 1334 Beacon Street

A radio shack employee reported that a display television set had been stolen sometime yesterday. After reviewing the stores surveillance tape it appears as though the suspect who took the television is a male subject who was last seen wearing a gray and orange shirt. The television is valued at $269 and this case is still under investigation.

  • Occurred at 10:48PM (9/27)-1412 Beacon Street

Victim reports leaving Anna's Taqueria and forgetting his knapsack inside, upon retuning to Anna’s he noticed his bag was missing. The value of the bag is about $15.

Summons

  • Occurred between 10:47AM (9/25) and 10:47AM (9/27) - St Paul Street/ Francis Street

An officer directing traffic was nearly struck by a vehicle whose driver failed to follow the directions of the officer. The man additionally failed to pull his vehicle over when motioned to do so. The man drove away from the scene, however the officer was able to later contacted the man to come to the station to discuss the matter further. The officer explained the seriousness of the man’s actions and informed him that he will be summonsed to court for Operating to Endanger, Failure to Stop for a Police Officer, and additional motor vehicle infractions.

September 26th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 8:10AM (9/26) - Webster Place/Harvard Street

Louis Brittle, 31 yrs, was arrested and charged with Malicious Destruction of Property.

Victim reports that while exiting a local Starbucks a panhandler asked him for spare change, when the victim stated he didn’t have any the suspect kicked over a newspaper stand which subsequently fell and struck the victims vehicle. The suspect identified as Brittle was found a short distance away and arrested.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred at 6:35PM (9/25) - Parkman Street/St Paul Street

Victim reports that while she was taking a left turn a man crossing the street deliberately and repeatedly smashed his briefcase against the hood of her car damaging it. The suspect is described as an older man around 65 years of age, 6’2, wearing glasses and a gray suit.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 5:45AM and 7AM (9/26) - 678 Brookline Avenue

Victim reports that while the center was closed a suspect entered Brookline Animal Control and stole a donation box from the front desk. The amount of money in the box is unknown.

Attempted Larceny

  • Occurred between 9:30PM (9/25) and 11AM (9/26) - 50 Pleasant Street

Victim reports that sometime overnight someone had moved his scooter and tried to start it, severely damaging the vehicles steering mechanism. The cost of this damage is unknown.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 11:15PM (9/26) - Harvard Street/Beals Street

Victim reports that while he was at dinner a suspect gained entry into his unlocked vehicle and stolen his portable GPS navigation system, along with a backpack containing several personal items. The collective cost of these items is approximately $750.

September 25th Police Reports

Arrests

  • Occurred at 6:30AM (9/25)- John Street/Babcock Street

Andrew Waisnor, 29 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving with an expired license, failure to stop before making a right turn on red, and driving a motor vehicle without an inspection sticker.

Police witnessed a vehicle make a right turn on red without stopping. Upon pulling the vehicle over it was discovered that the driver identified as Waisnor, had an expired/non renewable driver’s license. He was subsequently arrested.

  • Occurred at 9:35PM (9/25)-Pleasant Street/Beacon Street

Two juveniles were arrested and charged with Larceny and Receiving Stolen Property.

Police attempted to speak with two youths who were seen suspiciously riding bicycles in an area of recent bike thefts. When police approached the two youths they both rode away quickly attempting to elude police. After the two boys were eventually stopped it was learned that the bikes they were riding had been recently stolen from a Holiday Inn garage. The two juveniles were subsequently arrested.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 12:30AM and 7AM (9/25) - 26 Thorndike Street

Victim reports that sometime over night 3 bicycles were stolen from his garage. The first bike is described as a 20 speed gray and brown boys Raleigh valued at $200. The second bike is a silver Diamondback Mountain bike valued at $250. The third bike stolen is described as a yellow and black Wha-Hoo Gary Fischer valued at $300.

September 24th Police Reports

Summons

  • Occurred at 12:46AM (9/24)-1321 Beacon Street

Police on patrol noticed a vehicle traveling very slowly and constantly drifting over the marked lanes of the roadway. The officer’s who were driving behind this vehicle with their windows down, could smell an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After pulling the vehicle over and approaching the drivers side window officers were overwhelmed with the smell of burnt marijuana. A subsequent search yelled a bag of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. The driver will be summonsed to court for Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana), operating a Motor Vehicle while Not Duly licensed, and a Marked Lanes Violation.

Attempted Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 7PM (9/23) and 10:30AM (9/24)- 223 St Paul Street

Victim reports that sometime overnight a suspect had tried to gain entry into her apartment through two different windows. A neighbor of the victim reported a similar incident happening about a month ago, this case is still under investigation.

Bad Check

  • Occurred between 11:28PM (9/24) and 12:41AM (9/25)- 1195 Boylston Street

A CVS employee called police to report that a customer had bought items with a fake American Express Travelers Check. The amount of the fraudulent check was $100. The suspect is described as a white female in her mid 20’s with dirty blonde hair worn in a pony tail. She was last seen wearing a beige short sleeve shirt with grey Capri pants and shower shoes.

September 23rd Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred between 1:06AM and 3:08AM (9/23)- 208 Winthrop Rd

Matthew Krupski, 20 yrs, was arrested and charged with Minor in Possession of Alcohol, and Breaking and Entering with Intent to Commit a Misdemeanor.

Police received a report of a shirtless male seen breaking into a vacant apartment. When police arrived they found a suspect matching the description given by the caller, the man was intoxicated and was holding an open container of beer. Krupski immediately denied any knowledge of the incident however Police determined that Krupski had torn open the screen to the apartment when entering and when exiting had additionally damaged another screen in a separate window.

  • Occurred between 2:29AM and 3:13AM (9/23)- 55 Egmont Street

Lauren Burdick, 22 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating while Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor, and Weaving.

Police noticed a vehicle weaving over marked lanes. Upon pulling the vehicle over it was determined that the driver identified as Burdick was under the influence of alcohol.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 1:30PM (9/17) and 11:34Am (9/23)- 14 East Milton Rd

Victim reports that someone had entered his home and after breaking off a combination lock stole 2 keys to several additional residences. Nothing else is reported missing at this time however this case is still under investigation.

Shoplifting

  • Occurred at 3:25PM (9/23)- 320 Harvard Street

Police were dispatched to Fire Opal where an employee reported that a Coat and 4 pairs of earrings had been stolen. The employee noticed the items missing right before closing the store for the evening, the employee reported to police that she believed an Asian woman in her late 20’s, 5’5-5’6 in height and around 100 lbs was responsible for the theft.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 11AM and 4:45PM (9/23)-1281 West Roxbury Parkway

Victim reports that her vehicles driver’s side window had been smashed and her wallet, cell phone, glasses, and pocketbook were stolen from the vehicle, the wallet contained several bank and identification cards, the pocketbook contained prescription medication and a ring. The combined value of all the stolen items is approximately $620.

Graffiti

  • Occurred at 9:40PM (9/23)- Summit Ave/Atherton Rd

A USPS mailbox was ‘tagged’ with spray painted graffiti; this case is still under investigation.

September 22nd Police Reports

Arrests

  • Occurred at 1:30AM (9/22)- Egmont St/Pleasant St

Micah Wall, 18yrs, was arrested and charged with Minor in Possession of Alcohol, Malicious Damage, Disorderly Conduct, and Underage Drinking.

Stephen Wall, 21 yrs, was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Public Drinking, and having an Open Container of Alcohol.

Police on patrol noticed two individuals walking down the street, one of whom was holding an open beer the other was holding a bottle of vodka, Police arrested the first subject identified as Stephen Wall, however the second suspect identified as Micah Wall began resisting officers when they tried to place him in custody. He repeatedly was uncooperative and physically resistant.

  • Occurred at 1:39AM (9/22)- Washington St/Griggs Rd

Shanon Hakala, 23 yrs, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Battery of a Police Officer, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Malicious Damage of Town Property.

While Police were conducting a routine traffic stop the driver of the motor vehicle informed police he was uncomfortable with one of the passengers of his vehicle. When the woman exited the man’s vehicle it was clear she was intoxicated, she was additionally combative and uncooperative and police were forced to put her into protective custody. During the booking process at the station Hakala attempted to knee one of the officers in the groin, in addition to that assault she also attempted to damage one of the holding cells cameras.

  • Occurred between 1:57AM and 2:15AM (9/22)- Park St/ Harvard Ave

Jose Martinez, 19 yrs, was placed in protective custody.

Police on patrol noticed a male walking next to the roadway carrying a 20 ft. aluminum ladder as well as a 50 foot garden hose. The man claimed he had ‘found’ the two items in the trash although he was unable to provide police with an address of where the objects came from. Police determined that the man was intoxicated and placed him in protective custody.

  • Occurred at 6:24PM (9/22)- 1324 Beacon Street

Darryl Hall, 41 yrs, was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

Police responded to an area CVS to a call of a shoplifter. The employee at CVS reported that a man had been seen trying steal an entire shelf of toothbrushes.

Fraud

  • Occurred between 9AM (3/01) and 9PM (3/31)- 302 Harvard St.

Victim reports being called by a collection agency for charges that the victim did not make. The fraudulent charges amounted to $253.36, and this case is still under investigation.

September 21st Police Reports

Summons

  • Occurred at 6:40AM (9/21) - 9 Sewall Avenue

Police on patrol noticed a vehicle with a revoked registration sticker. Furthermore, while running information on the vehicle it was discovered the cars insurance had been revoked. The driver will be summonsed to court for Operating after Revocation of Registration, and Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance.

  • Occurred at 2:41PM (9/21) - 281 Harvard Street

Police noticed a vehicle traveling without a required front license plate. Upon stopping the vehicle it was discovered the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. Furthermore ,officers learned that the vehicles registration had been revoked, the man will be summonsed to court for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Operating an Unregistered Vehicle, Failing to Submit Motor Vehicle for Inspection, Failure to Display a front License Plate, and other various Traffic Violations.

Fraud

  • Occurred at 5:54PM (9/21) - 341 St. Paul Street

Victim reports receiving a call informing him of outstanding balances totaling $3,300 that had been fraudulently charged to various credit cards bearing his name, the victim never applied for any of the credit cards, and this case is still under investigation.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 12:00PM and 12:22PM (9/21) - 0 Glen Road

Victim reports that his driver’s side window had been smashed and his GPS navigation system valued at $500 had been taken from the dashboard.

September 20th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 12:47PM (9/20)- Park Drive/ Buswell

Aleida Wood, 20 yrs, was arrested and charged with Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Operating after a Suspended License, Possession of a Class B Substance (Cocaine), Providing a False Name to Police while Operating a Motor Vehicle, Operating an Uninsured and Unregistered Vehicle, and an Inspection Sticker Violation.

Police on patrol stopped a vehicle because of the absence of an inspection sticker. Upon pulling the vehicle over and running its information it was learned the car had recently been reported stolen. After speaking with the driver, later identified as Wood, she attempted to claim she had permission to use the car and when asked her name she gave police a false name and claimed she was not in possession of an ID. After a brief investigation it was clear to officers she did not have authorized use to drive the vehicle. Wood was subsequently placed under arrest. Furthermore, a background check revealed that Wood had an active warrant out for her arrest as well as a suspended license. A subsequent inventory of the driver’s purse revealed 3 rock like substances believed to be cocaine. Wood was additionally charged.

  • Occurred at 4:51PM (9/20)-1014 Beacon Street

Gregory Kirsh, 29 yrs, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Class A Narcotic (Heroin), Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws and another Drug Law Violations.

Police on patrol noticed a familiar subject identified as Kirsh acting suspiciously. When the subject saw the police cruiser he immediately and abruptly changed his direction. Police followed the subject and were able to hear him talking on his cell phone at a high volume. The nature of the call was regarding a recent drug transaction where the suspect felt he was ‘shorted’. Upon approaching the suspect and doing a safety frisk police discovered a hard object revealed to be a pipe commonly used to smoke various illegal drugs. A subsequent search of Kirsh revealed a large bag which contained individually wrapped bags of heroin commonly used for distribution. Kirsh was subsequently arrested.



Larceny

  • Occurred between 9PM (9/19) and 9AM (9/20)-11 Wolcott Road Ext

Victim reports that sometime overnight her GPS navigation system was taken from her unlocked vehicle which was located in her driveway; the value of this item is approximately $400.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 10AM and 1:15PM (9/20)- 16 Fairbanks Street

Police responded to a call of a burglary and when speaking with the victim learned that the suspects had gained entry to the apartment through a dining room window. The suspects removed the screen to the window and ransacked the entire apartment. Two Tiffany’s silver necklaces and a laptop computer were reported missing from the residence. The value of the necklaces is unknown however the laptop is valued as approximately $2000.

  • Occurred between 10:49AM (9/19) and 3:49PM (9/20)-50 Pleasant Street

Victim reports that a padlock which was secured to a footlocker near his bed was removed and replaced with another lock, and after cutting off the unknown lock he discovered several personal documents missing. This case is still under investigation.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 7PM (9/18) and 8AM (9/19) - 193 Harvard Street

Victim reports that when he arrived at work he noticed The Laundry Express’ rear door’s pad lock had been pried off and $190 was taken from inside.

Embezzlement

  • Occurred between 10:19AM (6/28) and 10:19AM (8/22) - 53 Beals St

Victim reports that after receiving an account statement from his bank he noticed several large unauthorized withdrawals that occurred over a two month span. The amount of money taken is approximately $4000. This case is still under investigation.

Shoplifting

  • Occurred between 10:35AM and 10:44AM (9/19) - 302 Harvard Street

Employee at the Children’s Place reported that a shoplifter had made off with several items of clothing. The suspect is described as a black female approximately 5’5-5’7 and slim. The cost of the stolen clothing is unknown.

Fraud

  • Occurred between 8AM (9/18) and 11:23AM (9/19) - 50 Longwood Ave

Victim reports that she was contacted by a bank regarding a loan that an unknown suspect attempted to take out in her name. This case is still under investigation.

Annoying Calls

  • Occurred between 4:45PM (3/01) and 4:45PM (9/19) - 1642 Beacon Street

Victim reports that he has been receiving annoying phone calls daily and at the same time everyday. He reports that when he answers the suspect hangs up. This case is still under investigation.

September 18th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred between 10:15AM and 11AM (9/18)- 27 Heath Street

Renee Rapaporte, 73 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating after Revocation, and Failure to stop at a Stop Sign.

Police on patrol noticed a vehicle travel through a stop sign without coming to a stop. Upon pulling the vehicle over police discovered its operator’s license had been revoked. She was subsequently arrested.

Operating

  • Occurred between 1:40AM and 2:02AM (9/18)- 226 Harvard Street

Police on patrol witnessed a vehicle take a right hand turn on red where a posted sign clearly prohibited it. Upon pulling the vehicle over it was learned the driver's license had been suspended. The man will be summonsed to court for Operating after Suspension, and making an Illegal Right Turn.

  • Occurred at 2:49AM (9/18)- 302 Harvard Street

Police on patrol witnessed a vehicle traveling with a defective headlight, upon pulling the vehicle over it was learned the driver's license had been suspended. The man will be summonsed to court for Operating after Suspension, and Defective Headlight.

Larceny/Attempted Larceny

  • Occurred between 11:30PM (9/17) and 9AM (9/18)- 9 James Street

Victim reports that sometime overnight her scooter was stolen from her front lawn. The scooter is described as a teal blue Yamaha Vino valued at $150.

  • Occurred between 9:30PM (9/17) and 7:30AM (9/18)- 12 Stanton Road

Victim reports that sometime overnight his driver’s side window had been smashed and his Ipod, and Ipod Accessories were taken from the vehicle. The collective value of these stolen items is approximately $540.

  • Occurred between11AM (9/11) and 5AM (9/12)- 224 Fuller Street

Victim reports that when he went to retrieve his vehicle from a towing company he discovered his cell phone valued at $399 missing from the vehicle. This case is still under investigation.

Break Ins

Overnight several cars were broken into in the lot behind 1648 Beacon Street as well as one car which was broken into at 1604 Beacon Street.

Victim reports that sometime overnight his vehicle was broken into and rummaged through however nothing is reported missing at this time.

  • Occurred between 10:30PM (9/17) and 9:01AM (9/18)- 1648 Beacon Street

Police investigating a motor vehicle larceny came across another car that had been broken into. Its front window had been smashed and its contents had been moved. However nothing is reported missing at this time.

  • Occurred between 1:30AM and 9:02AM (9/18)-1648 Beacon Street

Police investigating a motor vehicle larceny came across another car that had been broken into, the vehicle’s driver’s window had been shattered and the inside of the vehicle had been gone through. The driver reported the registration was stolen from the vehicles glove compartment. No other items were reported missing at this time.

  • Occurred between 8PM (9/17) and 9:03AM (9/18)- 1648 Beacon Street

Police investigating a motor vehicle larceny came across another car that had been broken into, the vehicles front passengers window had been shattered and the inside of the vehicle had been gone through. The driver reported that an Ipod Charger and GPS navigation system had been stolen. The collective value of these items is approximately $320.

Police investigating a motor vehicle larceny came across another car that had been broken into, the vehicles front passengers window had been shattered and the inside of the vehicle had been gone through, however no items were reported missing at this time.

Police responded to a motor vehicle break in and discovered a vehicle with its passenger window smashed and its inside rummaged through. Police are in the process of contacting the owner to determine what if anything was taken.

Police investigating a motor vehicle larceny came across another car that had been broken into, the vehicles front passengers window had been smashed however no items were reported missing at this time.

Assault

  • Occurred at 1:30PM (9/18)- 890 Commonwealth Avenue

Police responded to BU where a student reported a recent assault. The student reported that after an argument with another student in class he was followed and assaulted by that student. This case is still under investigation.

September 17th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 10:59 (9/17)- Mountford Street/ Carlton Street

Daniel Rivera, 46 yrs, was arrested on outstanding warrants

Police received calls about a suspicious man in the area of Beacon Street. Upon investigation police encountered Rivera who matched the description of the suspicious person. A check of Rivera revealed several outstanding warrants and he was subsequently arrested.

Fraud

  • Occurred between 7PM and 7:30PM (9/14) - 224 High Street

Victim reports leaving his book bag which contained his wallet inside an acquaintances car, and after retrieving the bag noticed his wallet missing from inside. His wallet contained $85 cash as well as various identification and charge cards, the man's debit card had been fraudulently used to purchase several items of unknown value.

September 16th Police Reports

Arrests

  • Occurred at 9:49AM (9/16)- Boylston Street/ Dunster Road

Christopher Danforth, 23 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating with a Suspended License, and Speeding.

Police on patrol clocked a vehicle traveling 60MPH in a posted 35MPH zone. Upon pulling the vehicle over police discovered its driver later identified as Danforth had a suspended license. He was subsequently arrested.

  • Occurred at 6:32PM (9/16)- 322 Harvard Street

James Clifford, 54 yrs, was arrested and charged with Open and Gross conduct.

Police were waved down by two females who reported that a male had just exposed himself to them. Another police unit had stopped a suspect a short distance away who matched the description of the man who exposed himself. Clifford was then positively identified by the victims and he was subsequently arrested.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 7AM and 1PM (8/30) - 75 Glen Road 5087

Victim reports her Ipod was stolen from her apartment sometime during the day on August 30th. The Ipod is valued at $250.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 2:30PM (9/15) and 3:50PM (9/16) - 35 Waverly Street 5096
Victim reports that sometime overnight her tires had been punctured by a sharp object. The woman reports that several times in the past she has been the victim of similar occurrences although this is the first time she has contacted police regarding such an incident. This case is still under investigation.

September 15th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 11:14PM (9/15)- Gardner Road/ Washington Street

Will Evans was arrested and charged with Operating while Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquors, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana).

Police on patrol noticed a vehicle traveling with heavy front end damage making loud screeching noises. Upon stopping the vehicle police determined its driver was under the influence of intoxicating liquors, and upon attempting to arrest Evans he began to resist and struggle with officers. After being properly restrained a subsequent search of Evans revealed a bag of a green leafy substance believed to be Marijuana. An inventory search of Evans vehicle yielded an addition bag containing Marijuana. Reinvestigation into the incident revealed reports of a similar car crashing into several parked vehicles on Gardner Road prior to the stop. The police determined Evans was responsible for those crashes and he was additionally charged.

Loud Parties

  • Occurred at 12:31AM (9/15) - 48 Babcock Street

Police responded to calls of a loud party and upon speaking with the underage residents of the building police could plainly see numerous beer cans inside the apartment, and upon entering the apartment police smelled burnt marijuana and further investigation revealed a pipe in plain view with burnt marijuana still inside. Additional investigation revealed several other marijuana pipes, all containing marijuana residue. Four of the residents will be summonsed to court for Disturbing the Peace, and Minor in Possession of Alcohol. The 5th occupant will be charged with Disturbing the Peace, Minor in Possession of Alcohol, and Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana).

  • Occurred at 12:49AM (9/15) - 1247 Beacon Street

Police responded to a call of a loud party, police spoke with the residents and advised them to either keep their noise level to a minimum or have their guests leave. Approximately ¾ of an hour later police received a call to the same address, this time police will summons the two residents to court for Disturbing the Peace.

Assault

  • Occurred at 4:40AM (9/15) - 185 Freeman Street

Victim reports that after driving two unidentified males to their requested destination of Dexter Park the occupants began verbally abusing the driver and one of the passengers eventually punched the driver in the head, and then evaded the cab fare which amounted to $13.

Graffiti

  • Occurred between 11PM (9/14) and 10:27AM (9/15) - 228 Cypress Street

Victim reports graffiti had been spray painted on the side of his business sometime after 11PM on Friday. This case is still under investigation.

  • Occurred between 6PM (9/14) and 9AM (9/15) - 190 High Street

Victim repots that sometime overnight both sides of his van had been spray painted with blue graffiti. The value of this damage is unknown, and this case is still under investigation.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 9PM (9/08) and 7PM (9/14) - 6 Strathmore Road

Victim reports that after parking her vehicle inside her garage she came back to discover three of her four tires missing, the victm reported that although the garage was unlocked it had been closed. The value of these tires is unknown.

Fraud

  • Occurred at 1:18PM (8/20) - Centre Street

Victim reports that his mother was the prior victim of mail and telephone fraud. Victim reports that his mother had received several letters last June informing her that she had won a large amount of money, and the letter additionally stated that in order to claim the prize the woman must deposit money into an account. After giving the suspect her bank information over the phone she discovered $900 missing from her account and reports that no ‘winning’ money was ever received. This case is still under investigation.

Victim reports that while sitting in her parked vehicle she noticed a suspicious male walk to the rear of her car where she noticed him masturbating while looking in her direction. The man is described as white in his early 20’s with light brown spiked hair last seen wearing a baby blue shirt with blue jeans. This case is still under investigation.

Larceny

Victim reports that sometime overnight an unknown suspect had gone through the interior of his unlocked vehicle stealing a cordless drill valued at $150.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8PM (9/13) and 7:20AM (9/14)-10 Strathmore Road

Victim reports sometime overnight his vehicles hood was pried open and his front grill was stolen, the value of this damage is unknown.

  • Occurred between 8PM (9/13) and 10AM (9/14)- 19 Winchester Street

Victim reports that sometime overnight his car was broken into and his GPS navigation system valued at $450 was stolen from the dashboard.

  • Occurred between 8:30PM (9/13) and 10AM (9/14)- 252 Gerry Road

Victim reports sometime overnight her vehicles front window was smashed and her GPS navigation device valued at $350 was stolen from the dashboard.

  • Occurred between 9:15AM and 10:30AM (9/14)- 1515 Beacon Street

Victim reports her vehicles side window was smashed and her GPS navigation system, as well as a cloth shoulder bag were taken from the car. The collective value of these items is approximately $510.

  • Occurred between 4PM and 6PM (9/11)- 115 Greenough Street

Victim reports leaving her book bag unattended while attending a swim meet, when she returned to the bag she noticed her Ipod and cell phone were missing from the inside. The collective value of these items is approximately $310.

Victim reports his bicycle was stolen from the outside bike rack sometime during the day. The bicycle is valued at $150.

Malicious Damage

Victim reports that earlier this month his car had been maliciously damaged, the entire length of the car had been ‘keyed’, the cost of this damage is unknown.

September 13th Police Reports

Occurred at 2:25AM (9/13) - Boylston Street/ Washington Street

Michael Shields, 49 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating While under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor, Failure to Stay within Marked Lanes, and Operating with an Expired Inspections Sticker.

Officers on patrol noticed a vehicle traveling erratically by consistently crossing marked lanes and officers additionally witnessed the vehicle stop at a green light. Upon pulling the vehicle over officers noticed the cars inspection sticker had expired and furthermore upon investigating the driver it was determined Shields Jr was under the influence of alcohol he was subsequently arrested.

Occurred at 8:10AM (9/13) - Chestnut Hill Avenue/ Clinton Road

Nanci Ziviani, 39 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle while being not duly licensed.

Police on patrol witnessed a vehicle take an illegal left turn. Upon stopping the car police learned that its driver did not posses a Massachusetts driver’s license Ziviani was subsequently placed under arrested.

Occurred at 11:53PM (9/13) - 1244 Boylston Street

William Sorkpor, 49 yrs, was arrested and charged with trespassing.

Police received a call of a suspicious man in a local area Kinko’s. Upon investigation it was learned this man would not leave the grounds when repeatedly asked and had been trespassing, he was subsequently arrested.

September 12th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 11:20AM (9/12) - Kent Street / Linden Street

Sawsen Rashid was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Police received reports of a suspicious female loitering aimlessly in a hallway on Pleasant Street. When she was approached the woman fled to the Coolidge Corner area. Police found the suspect a short time later and upon investigation discovered the woman later identified as Rashid had an outstanding warrant out for her apprehension, she was subsequently arrested.

General

  • Occurred at 9AM (9/12) - 100 Center Street 5010

Woman reports receiving solicitations by various charity groups, and she was concerned with the validity of these organizations. Police checked out the organizations which were legally registered to solicit in Massachusetts, but the police additionally informed the woman that these organizations were not members of the Better Business Bureau and she should always be skeptical of solicitations, and should always do research on them before donating.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 2PM and 8:45PM (9/12) - 129 Fisher Avenue

Victim reports that while he was in class his vehicle was broken into. His front passenger window had been shattered and his satellite radio system and textbooks were stolen from the vehicle. The combined value of the items is $420.

September 10th Police Reports

Arrests

  • Occurred at 1PM (9/10) - Alton Place/Harvard Street

Michael Severe, 38 yrs, was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest, Attempted Burglary, Larceny, and Trespassing.

Police on patrol noticed a suspicious male later identified as Severe. Upon attempting to speak with Severe he began to flee. Upon apprehending the suspect police discovered in Severe’s possession several items that were recently stolen from an area Walgreens. It was also clear an attempt was made by Severe to gain entry to an apartment window at Alton Place. Severe was subsequently arrested.

  • Occurred at 1:20AM (9/11)- 1440 Beacon Street

Leslie Muldowney, 42 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor, Failure to Stop at a Red Light, and a Marked Lanes Violation.

Police on patrol were flagged down by a cab driver who pointed out a vehicle which was swerving causing the vehicle to cross the marked lanes of the roadway. Police followed the vehicle and observed it travel through a red light. Upon stopping the vehicle and conducting an investigation she was subsequently arrested.

  • Occurred at 1:39AM (9/11)- Chestnut Hill Avenue/ Channing Road

Michael Roy, 24 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor, and various traffic offenses.

Police on detail noticed a vehicle resting at a red light its operator later identified as Roy was unconscious behind the wheel. After some investigation Roy was subsequently arrested.

September 9th Police Reports

ARRESTS

  • Occurred at 1:16AM (9/09)- 750 Boylston Street

Stefan Pierre was arrested and charged with Failing to Submit to a Police Officer, Allowing the Operating of an Unregistered and Uninsured Vehicle, and Allowing the Operation of his Vehicle by an Unlicensed Driver.

Police on patrol clocked a vehicle traveling at 58mph in a posted 35mph zone. Upon following the vehicle police noticed it increase it speed to over 100mph and at one time strike another vehicle. Upon stopping the vehicle police apprehended one suspect while three other suspects fled the vehicle on foot. The man police apprehended was determined to have been innocent because he was simply a passenger. The driver was identified as Nathan Pierre, and the female suspect who fled on foot was located and identified but it was determined that she was simply a passenger and was not involved in any criminal violations. The second male passenger identified as Stefan Pierre was apprehended at the same address immediately arrested and subsequently charged.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Nathan Pierre on the charges of Failure to Stop for a Police Officer, Attaching Number Plates, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Operating to Endanger (Negligence), Speeding, Operating with a Revoked Drivers License, and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.

Suspicious

  • Occurred at 3:52AM (9/09)- 40 Carlton Street

Victim reports that while walking down the road with her friend a man approached them in a vehicle asking for directions. While asking for directions the man began videotaping the two women who responded by telling the man to shut the camera off, and walking away, however the man reportedly continued to video tape the two women as he slowly drove away. The man is described as white and in his mid 20’s.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 5:30PM (9/08) and 4PM (9/09)- 569 Washington Street

Victim reports his car had been broken into sometime overnight. The victim noticed that about $20 in spare change, sunglasses, and a binder had been taken from the vehicle. This case is still under investigation.

  • Occurred between 3PM and 5PM (9/09)- 186 Kent Street

Victim reports while parked at Northeastern Parsons Field her vehicle was entered and several items were taken. Taken from the unlocked vehicle was the victim’s wallet containing various credit cards and $40 cash, in addition to a white canvas bag.

September 8th Police Reports

ARRESTS

  • Occurred between 9AM (8/27) and 12PM (9/06)- 32 Kent Street

Verna Caldwell, 34 yrs, was arrested and charged with Forgery, Uttering a Forged Instrument, and Larceny.

A victim came into the station and showed police a check amounting to $760 that was written with her account, even though the woman claims she did not write or cash the check herself. The check had been made out to a former employee of the victims later identified as Caldwell and when police interviewed Caldwell was determined she was responsible for the stolen check. Caldwell was subsequently charged.

Shoplifting

  • Occurred between 4:30PM and 4:42PM (9/08)- 302 Harvard Street

Employees at The Children’s Place reported to police that two female shoplifters had just exited the store with their bags and arms full of un-purchased clothing. When the suspects heard the employees on the phone with police they fled the store and drove away in a silver car. The suspects are both described as young black females. The first is described as 5’07 tall, 20-25 years of age. She was last seen wearing a pink tank top with white trim, blue jeans, and a gray/plaid scully cap. The second suspect is described as in her early 20’s, 5’05 tall last seen wearing a white t-shirt, and jeans. The total amount of clothing stolen is estimated to cost approximately $150

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 5:15PM and 7:03PM (9/08)- 91 Blake Road

Victim reported that her cars rear window had been smashed by what appeared to be a small rock. No items are reported missing from the vehicle at this time.

September 7th Police Reports

Operating to Endanger

  • Occurred at 2:56AM (9/07)- Mountfort Street/ St Mary’s Street

Police on patrol noticed a vehicle make several traffic violations. Upon pulling the vehicle over it was learned that’s the vehicles insurance had been revoked. The driver will be summonsed to court for Driving with Revoked Insurance, and Operating to Endanger (Negligence), Failure to Stop for a Stop Sign, Failure to Stop For a Red Light, and a Marked Lanes Violation.

Attempted Burglary

  • Occurred between 10:54AM (8/17) and 10:54AM (9/04)- 420 Newton Street

Victim reports that while he was away on vacation someone had pried open one of his windows and pushed aside the inside screen. The victim reported that nothing was missing from his residence and it did not appear the suspect had gained entry to the home.

Motor Vehicle Theft

  • Occurred between 8PM (9/06) and 2AM (9/07)- 1850 Beacon Street

Victim reports that his motor vehicle was stolen from its curbside parking spot sometime overnight. The vehicle is a 1995 Blue Jeep valued at approximately $4000.

Suspicious

  • Occurred at 10AM (9/07)- 27 Francis Street

Victim reports that she may have been followed to school by a suspicious man. The victim reports that the man followed her from the bus stop to the school but departed after she entered school grounds. The suspect is described as a light skinned black male in his 30’s with dark facial hair and a long afro tied in a pony tail. The suspect was last seen wearing dark blue jeans with a light blue sweatshirt and a Red Sox cap. Police will pay special attention to patrolling this area.

Fraud

  • Occurred between 6:30PM (9/06) and 3:50PM (9/07)

Victim reports receiving a phone call from a female claiming she was from a credit card company apparently offering to lower the victim’s interest rate. After giving her information to the third party the woman discovered that this was a fraudulent call.

Receiving Stolen Property

  • Occurred between 2PM (8/27) and 8AM (8/28)- Washington Street/ School Street

Victim called police to report a suspect riding his bike which had been stolen the week before. Police spoke to the juvenile riding the bike and it was soon discovered the youth did take the bike from the victim’s property. The juvenile will be summonsed to court for Receiving Stolen Property.

September 6th Police Reports

Indecent Assault

  • Occurred between 3:07PM (8/31) and 10AM (9/07)-300 South Street

Jimmy Thompson the suspect of a recent assault of a patient at Bournewood Hospital was arrested for Indecent Assault and Battery and Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

The man was an employee working under an alias and when his true identity was discovered it was revealed he had failed to register as a sex offender, he was subsequently arrested for that charge in addition to the recent assault.


ARRESTS

  • Occurred at 6:18PM (9/06)- 302 Harvard Street

Pamela Tyler was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property.

Police stopped a suspect later identified as Tyler in reference to recent larcenies in the area. She had in her possession several new items of clothing with no receipt or proof of purchase. Police checked with Children’s Place the store where the items were taken and it was learned that Tyler did not purchase any items, she was subsequently arrested.

  • Occurred at 9:53PM (9/06)- 153 Kent Street

Carol Fallon, 22 yrs, was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.

Fallon and a neighbor began a verbal argument which shortly escalated to a physical altercation. During that altercation it is reported that Fallon repeatedly threw a chair at her neighbor, Fallon was subsequently arrested.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 2:30PM and 9:30PM (9/06)- 1020 Beacon Street

Victims report that their wallets were stolen from the backroom of their workplace at Japonaise Bakery. The content of the wallets is unknown.

Fraud

  • Occurred between 8PM (9/05) and 4:39PM (9/06)- 241 Freeman Street

Victim reports losing his wallet somewhere near his apartment. Upon further investigation the victim discovered his credit card had been fraudulently used to purchase $484 worth of goods.

Graffiti

  • Occurred between 7AM and 12PM (9/05)- 89 Marion Street

Victims report that sometime during a several hour period the outside door of their residence was spray painted with graffiti.

September 5th Police Reports

Arrests

  • Occurred at 3:26AM (9/05)- Boylston Street/Eliot Street

Joseph Benedict, 18 yrs, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana), Possession of a Class B Substance (Crack Cocaine), and failure to wear a seatbelt.

Police on patrol witnessed a car operating erratically, crossing marked lanes several times without signaling. After stopping the car police noticed the occupants were intoxicated. A subsequent search of the occupants led to the discovery of two white rocks believed to be Crack Cocaine, as well as a green leafy substance believed to be Marijuana. The driver was additionally given a citation for various traffic offenses.

  • Occurred at 7:14PM (9/05)- 15 Toxteth Street

David Rush, 18yrs, was arrested on warrant for a probation violation.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 11PM (8/24) and 8:32AM (9/05)- 96 Kent Street

Victim reports his snow blower which was secured to his front porch with a cable lock, was stolen sometime overnight. The value of this item is approximately $650.

  • Occurred between 1PM and 1:55PM (9/05)- 64 Walnut Street

Victim reports sometime in a one hour period her car window was smashed and her GPS navigation device was taken from her vehicle. The GPS navigation device was valued at $749.

  • Occurred between 8AM (5/01) and 9:45PM (9/05)- 2 St. Paul Street

Victim reports that on a past date he had noticed a Red Sox Christmas ornament missing from a mantle in his home, he thought nothing of it at the time but he has recently noticed a picture frame missing from the same mantle. The cost of these items is unknown and this case is still under investigation.

September 4th Police Reports

Graffiti Law

  • Occurred between 3:30PM (9/01) and 4:37AM (9/04) - 123 St. Mary’s Street

Additional graffiti was found painted over the fresh graffiti found yesterday.

Assault

  • Occurred between 3:07PM (8/31) and 2:30AM (9/02) - 300 South Street

Police are currently investigating two separate incidents of sexual assaults at Bournewood Hospital. The first occurred at 11:15AM on September 4th and involves a patient on patient assault which is still currently under investigation. The other assault involves a patient and former staff member the staff member will be charged with indecent assault and battery and summonsed to court in accordance with that charge.

Attempted Burglary

  • Occurred at 10PM (9/03) - 228 St. Paul Street

Victim reports hearing someone attempt to open his basement door and upon further investigation discovered a small black male cutting the screen to his window and then reaching into his residence. Upon yelling at him the suspect fled. This case is still under investigation.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 6PM (8/30) and 8AM (9/04) - 34 Greenough Street

Victim reports leaving her bicycle unlocked inside her detached garage about 30 feet from her home, when she went to use the bike in the morning she discovered it missing.

September 3rd Police Reports

ARREST

  • Occurred at 2:45Am (9/03)- 213 Pleasant Street

Robert Erskine, 33yrs, was arrested and charged with open and gross conduct.

Victim reports looking out her apartment window and witnessing a man masturbating inside his vehicle, apparently the man had opened the door to his SUV and with his legs sticking out began touching himself to the women passing by. Police questioned the man and arrested him shortly thereafter.

  • Occurred at 3:16PM (9/03)- 302 Harvard Street

Temperence Brown, 43yrs, was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

Employee reports witnessing a woman stuffing several items of clothing into her bag then exiting the store without paying, police searched the area and found a woman who matched the description provided. The woman had clothing visibly protruding from her bag and did not have a receipt for the items, she was subsequently arrested.

Fraud

  • Occurred at 7:11PM (9/03)-1322 Beacon Street

Victim reports a suspect described as a black male thin around 5’7 and was 20-25 years of age, had just attempted to purchase items with a fake American Express gift card. When the cashier noticed the document to be false the suspect attempted to grab the check back but eventually fled the store, police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

September 2nd Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 3:44AM (9/02)- 25 Washington Street

Jason Hollis, 31 yrs, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct, and malicious damage.

Victim reports that while working at a gas station a man entered and asked to use the telephone. The victim reported that the man became very agitated and began cursing and throwing items around the store. The suspect threw several items at the victim then fled in a taxi. Police searching the area found a suspect who matched the description given by the victim and a witness. The man was subsequently arrested.

  • Occurred at 5:25PM (9/02) - 1 Dean Park

William Feld, 41yrs, was arrested and charged with violating a restraining order.

Expired Registration

  • Occurred between 2:04AM and 2:40AM (9/02) - Grove Street/Allandale Road

Police stopped a vehicle with an expired registration. Its driver was issued a citation accordingly.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 12PM (9/01) and 10:30AM (9/02) - 46 Carlton Street

Victim reports that she noticed her apartment had been disturbed and her laptop had been taken sometime while she was away. The laptops value is currently unknown.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred at 4:48PM (9/02) - 1317 Beacon Street

Victim reports during the short time period he was parked in a lot his car was keyed, the cost of this damage is unknown.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 12PM and 7PM (9/02) - 21 Thayer Street

Victim reported that his unlocked bicycle was stolen from his front porch sometime during the day. The bike was described as a woman’s purple bicycle valued at $200.

September 1st Police Reports

ARREST

  • Occurred at 12:55AM (9/01)

Phyllis Demarco, 58 yrs, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery.

  • Occurred at 1:39AM (9/01) - 85 Gerry Road

Matthew Sherer, 41 yrs, was arrested and charged with open and gross conduct.

Victim reports that while standing on the front stoop of his residence he noticed a neighbor standing in the courtyard completely naked. The suspect allegedly began making inappropriate movements deemed to be of a sexual nature. The man was subsequently arrested.

  • Occurred between 2:55AM and 3:07AM (9/01) - 360 Washington Street

Gregory O’Brien, 22 yrs, was arrested and charged with operating while under the influence of alcohol, speeding, and not being in possession of a license.

Police on patrol noticed a vehicle exceeding the posted speed limit and driving erratically. Upon stopping the vehicle it was determined that it’s driver was under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested.

Theft

  • Occurred between 6AM (8/30) and 6PM (8/31) - 121 Jordan Road

Victim reported that his bank of America account was accessed via his computer and 3 fraudulent transactions were charged to his account. The victim contacted Bank of America and he was advised to cancel that current account.

General

  • Occurred between 6:30PM (8/31) and 1:57PM (9/01) - 612 Washington Street

Victim reports several plastic bottles of urine being thrown into her backyard. This case is still under investigation.

  • Occurred at 12AM (9/01) - Cypress Street/Wellington Tr

Police report stopping two suspicious suspects on bicycles. Further investigation revealed that the men ‘found’ the bicycles and would return them to the Brookline Police for safe keeping, at this current time it cannot be determined whether these bikes were stolen.
