Wednesday, June 26th

5:00AM: Police were dispatched to area Summit Avenue for multiple reports of breaking and entering of motor vehicles. Further investigations showed most of the vehicles were left unsecured. Multiple vehicles had been entered and various items were stolen including loose change. Glove compartments and center consoles were targeted. Many reporting parties found their personal items rummaged through and strewn about the car. This incident occurred sometime between 7:30PM on June 25th and 5AM on June 26th. 12:38PM: Officers responded to a business on Commonwealth Avenue for a report of past shoplifting. The Loss Prevention Employee stated that a man has been shoplifting from the business for the past several months. The reporting party showed police surveillance footage from December 2018 and February 2019 of the man stealing men’s watches. An arrest warrant has been requested for larceny over $1,200.

2:40PM: Police were dispatched to a residence on Boylston Street for a report of a package theft. The reporting party explained that she got an email confirming the delivery of a package at 11AM. When she arrived home at 1PM, there was no package in her vestibule. Police are investigating.

2:49PM: Officers were dispatched to Saint Paul Street for a report of a missing package. The reporting party stated that he purchased an Asus “Chromebook Flip” laptop on April 24th, 2019. The item was supposed to be delivered on April 27th but the reporting party never saw it. The reporting party left town to travel and hoped the package would arrive while he was gone. This incident occurred sometime between April 27th, 2019 and May 13th, 2019. This case is under investigation.

10:34PM: A citizen came to the police station to report malicious damage to his vehicle. The reporting party parked his vehicle at 7AM this morning on Washington Street. At 10AM he noticed several scratch/key marks near his trunk area. Upon close look, the scratch marks resembled a swastika symbol. This case is being investigated.

11:49PM: Police responded to the Pierce School Playground for a report of found property. Upon arrival, the officer found an open black violin case with a Rayburn violin inside. The case and violin were on the ground near the side of the building. The violin is missing its bridge and has only one string remaining. The item has been placed into evidence for safe keeping.
