12:43PM: Officers responded to a business on Harvard Street to take a report of a larceny. The reporting party stated that after his vehicle was washed (interior and exterior of the vehicle), he noticed an envelope missing from his car. The reporting party stated that a sum of money was left in his vehicle in a white envelope. After the car was washed he checked where the money was supposed to be and found it missing. He returned to the business and reported it to the business’ manager who checked the surveillance footage. The manager confirmed that an employee removed the envelope containing the money and put it in his pocket. Police questioned the employee who initially denied the theft, but then stated that he did take the money. The man then retrieved the money from a hiding spot and returned it. The employee was arrested for larceny.
