2:21pm: Officers
were dispatched to shoplifting in progress to a local business on Beacon
St. The Brookline dispatch was able to
broadcast a description of the subject over radio, as well as describe the
sunglasses he had stolen. Upon the officer’s arrival to the scene, the officers
witness the walk inside another area store. Once the subject saw the officers approach
him, he abandoned the sunglasses as he had taken from the original store. The
subject was immediately placed under arrest and transported back to the
Brookline Police Department.
