Police Reports 5/24-5/28

Sector 1

Bike Theft: Between 5/22 and 5/27- Thorndike St.

An individual reported the larceny of a bicycle from a detached garage. The victim stated that he last saw his bicycle at approximately 3:00 PM on 5/22.

Shoplifting: 5/26 at 10:01 PM- Beacon St.

A CVS employee reported a shoplifting. The employee stated that she observed two female subjects placed items into a plastic bag and leave the store without paying. Officers were able to stop two subjects who matched the description in the area. The employee positively identified the subjects and they were both placed under arrest for Shoplifting.

Bike Theft: Between 5/24 and 5/25- Coolidge St.

An individual reported the larceny of a bicycle. The victim stated that his unlocked bicycle was removed from his front porch overnight between 5/24 and 5/25.

Sector 2

Operating after Revocation: 5/28 at 11:18 AM- Beacon St.

An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn from Harvard St onto Beacon St. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Beacon St. A query revealed that the driver had a revoked license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Revocation.

Operating after Revocation: 5/25 at 12:02 AM- Longwood Ave. / Sewall Ave.

A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that its registration was revoked. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Longwood Ave. A further query revealed that the driver had a revoked license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Revocation.

Sector 3

Bike Theft: 5/27 between 9:00 and 11:00 PM- Fuller St.

An individual reported the larceny of a bicycle. The victim stated that she locked her bicycle to a tree on Fuller St. at approximately 9:00 PM. When she returned she discovered that the lock had been cut and the bike was missing.

Not Duly Licensed: 5/25 at 12:07 PM- Harvard St.

An officer observed a vehicle travel over the double solid yellow line. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Harvard Street. A query revealed that the driver did not have a valid license. The driver was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.

Sector 4

B&E MV: Between 5/24 and 5/27- Hawthorn Rd.

Two individuals reported the breaking and entering of motor vehicles in the area of Hawthorn Rd. Victim #1 stated that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole and envelope containing cash. Victim #2 stated that someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole a GPS, eyeglasses, a phone charge and loose change.

Sector 5

Operating after Suspension: 5/25 at 12:17 AM- Boylston St.

An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal U-turn. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Boylston St. A query revealed that the driver had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Sector 6

OUIL: 5/25 at 1:03 AM- Boylston St. / Hammond St.

Officers responded to Boylston St. and Hammond St. for the report of a motor vehicle that had struck a stationary police cruiser. The officer was positioned in his cruiser during a motor vehicle stop of another car when a vehicle struck the cruiser from behind. Upon reaching the vehicle that struck the cruiser, the officer could detect an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. Based on the observations the driver was placed under arrest for Operating under the Influence of Liquor.
