Last Saturday, October 29th, from 10 AM to 2 PM, the Brookline Police Department hosted a Drug Takeback day. Residents were encouraged to drop off prescription or over-the-counter drugs that they no longer had any use for. Over 400 pounds of drugs were collected and will be disposed of properly, making the program a success.
The BPD also has a depository in the lobby of the Public Safety Building where drugs can be dropped off 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
