Storm Impact update, 5:00PM

Brookline Emergency Management Team has released the latest data from the effects of Irene. As of 5:00PM Police responded to over 140 calls for service since 0800 hrs. 106 trees or limbs have fallen in town and we currently have 12 cruisers standing by downed wires. DPW crews with tree crews are busy cleaning up.
Power is out in the Newton St, Cypress St and "Pill Hill" areas of town.
NSTAR has a list of 13 locations in Town that have been determined as priority sites. NSTAR has responded to the top five locations. They are doing the best they can, but they have approximately 175,000 customers without service system wide.
