April 18-19th

April 18-19th

Arrests:

Occurred between 5:25 PM (4/18) and 5:44 PM (4/18) – Washington Street

Officers responded to a report of threats that turned into an assault. Upon arrival officers met with the three subjects involved. Officers learned that one of the subjects was trying to park his vehicle when he saw two pedestrians walk behind his car. He applied the breaks to avoid hitting the pedestrians. The subject and the two pedestrians exchanged words in a verbal altercation. The two pedestrians began to threaten the driver and attempted to throw a rock at his vehicle. The altercation then escalated and one of the pedestrians kicked the driver. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and threats to commit a crime. The second subject was placed under protective custody and will be summonsed to court for assault and battery and threats to commit a crime.

Occurred at 9:17 PM (4/18) – Harvard Street/ Stedman Street

Officers conducted a traffic stop for suspicious driving behavior. Upon investigation officer immediately observed that the driver and the passenger were under the influence of drugs due to signs that officers learn in training. Officers asked the occupants to exit the vehicle and when they did so officers observed paraphernalia used for heroin use. The passenger also had drugs in his shoe. The passenger was placed under arrest for possession of a Class E substance. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating under the influence of heroin.

Transportation to Hospital:

Occurred at 1:39 PM (4/18) - Beacon Street

Officers responded to a report of an individual that had fallen through a skylight from the roof. Upon arrival officers learned that the individual was attending a party and some of the individuals had gone on the roof to watch the marathon. Multiple individuals heard the sound of glass breaking and realized a person had fallen through into the stairwell of the building. The individual was treated for his injuries and transported to a local hospital.
