March 30th- 31st

Arrests:

Occurred at 10:06 PM (3/30) - Chestnut Street/ Pond Avenue

Officers conducted a traffic stop for failure to stop at a stop sign. Upon investigation officers learned that the subject’s license to operate in Massachusetts was suspended. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after suspension and failure to stop at a stop sign.

Occurred at 1:34 AM (3/31) – Huntington Avenue

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a marked lane violation and impeding the flow of traffic. Upon investigation officers could detect a strong odor of liquor coming from the vehicle and the subject. Officers conducted a series of field sobriety tests and came to the conclusion that the operator was under the influence of alcohol. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol, marked lane violation, and impeding the flow of traffic.

Occurred at 7:39 AM (3/31) – St. Paul Street/ Sewall Avenue

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a red light violation. Upon investigation officers learned that the subject did not have a proper Massachusetts license. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for not duly licensed and a red light violation.

Larceny:

Occurred at 4:00 PM (3/30) – Commonwealth Avenue

Officers responded to a report of larceny at a local pharmacy. Upon investigation officers learned that the suspect had entered the store and then exited with out paying for the items. The store employee had followed him out of the store and confronted the suspect. The items were retrieved but the suspect fled. The suspect was described as a light skinned black male with a beard, wearing a black hat with white lines, a black Northface coat, a maroon colored sweatpants, and sneakers.

Burglary:

Occurred between 4:00 PM (3/30) and 4:45 PM (3/30) – Sheafe Street

Officers responded to a report of attempted burglary. Upon arrival officers learned that the front door was visibly damaged as if someone tried to get in. Access was not gained but damage was done. None of the neighbors reported any suspicious behavior or saw anyone suspicious in the area at that time. Officers advise residence to report any suspicious behavior that may occur in this area.
