July 22nd – 23rd

Arrest

Occurred between 2:33 AM and 4:13 AM (7/22) – Summit Ave. / City View Rd.

While patrolling, officers observed a subject in a vehicle and became suspicious of his activity. Upon questioning, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the subject. After a brief investigation officers found several controlled substances on the subjects and in the vehicle. Both parties were subsequently placed under arrest for possession of narcotics.

Occurred 1:36 PM (7/22) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of an intoxicated person. Upon identifying the subject, officers discovered an active arrest warrant for the subject. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for the existing warrant.

Occurred 8:28 PM (7/22) – Buswell St. / Park Dr.

While patrolling, officers observed a known person in a vehicle. Upon checking his license status officers discovered that his right to operate a motor vehicle in Mass had been suspended. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after suspension.

Occurred 3:03 AM (7/23) – Brook St. / Hurd Rd.

While on patrol, officers became suspicious of a group of male subjects riding bikes in an area known for recent bicycle thefts. Upon investigation, officers found bolt cutters on one of the subjects and stolen bikes in the possession of two of the subjects. Two of the subjects were subsequently placed under arrest for receiving stolen property.

Larceny

Occurred 11:02 AM (7/22) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter in custody of a local retail store. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the store employee who stated that he observed the subject try to remove a security tag off of an item and leave the store. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for shoplifting.

Occurred between 12:58 PM and 1:01 PM (7/23) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny at a local restaurant. The victim stated that while she was placing her order, she left her bank deposit bag at the counter. When she returned later, the bag was missing which contained approximately $630 in cash and a $50 check. The store manager informed officers that he did catch two suspects on surveillance video taking the bag. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 2:00 PM and 2:25 PM (7/23) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, the victim informed officers that two pairs of his shoes, valued around $1,000 were stolen. He stated that he left both pairs briefly outside on his porch to dry and upon returning discovered them missing. Police are following up on the case.

Forgery

Occurred between 8:51 PM (7/19) and 9:14 AM (7/22) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a forgery. Upon arrival, officers were informed that a female subject attempted to use a forged Traveler’s Cheque and fled the store. Officers located the subject and subsequently placed her under arrest.

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 7:00 PM (7/22) and 7:30 AM (7/23) – St. Paul St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that he parked his car in the private lot of his building the previous night and when he returned, he discovered the windshield had been smashed. Police are following up on the case.
