August 27th Police Reports


Threats

8-27-09 0800 hours Schick Park

Victim states a male subject threatened her with his three dogs in Schick Park. She informed him she was calling the police and he left the area.

Malicious Destruction

8-27-09 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Victim reports he parked his car near the intersection of Pleasant and Freeman streets and that his car window was damaged by a sharp object, possibly a key.

8-26-09 0700 hours Freeman and Pleasant St

Victim stated he parked his car near Freeman and Pleasant streets and returned around 3:30 p.m. to find a good portion of his vehicle had been damaged by a sharp object, possibly a key.

Larceny by False Pretense

The victim found an apartment to rent on Garrison Rd. and paid a deposit approximately one month ago which included first and last month’s rent and a security deposit. When given the keys to the apartment, they failed to work. Since then, she has not been able to contact the person she made the payment to and believes she was scammed as the money was withdrawn from her account.

Larceny

8-27-09 1300 hours Harvard St.

Victim reported her purse was stolen after she had left it on a chair while she ordered food at Brueggers Bagels. Police are following up on the case.

Annoying and Accosting/Assault and Battery

8-27-09 1500 hours 15 Harvard St

Victim reports her and her niece were approached by a male who they did not know and began to strike up an inappropriate conversation. The man, without any consent or right to do so, placed his hands on the victim. Suspect was located placed under arrest.

Warrant Arrest

8-28-09 0155 hours Boylston St

A male subject was stopped for speeding on Boylston St. When queried, police located an active warrant for her arrest. She was subsequently arrested.

Residential Burglary

8/28/09 0800 hours Beacon St

A reporting party noticed a neighbor’s window screen was pried open. Officers noticed a $10 bill and a local restaurant receipt on the ground outside. The resident did not hear or see anything during the night. Police are following up on the case.
