August 18th Police Reports

Sexual Asssault

At approximately 2:20 A.M. on the morning of August 18, 2009 a female resident of the Town of Brookline was walking on Harvard St. in the Coolidge Corner Area. Allegedly, two male suspects struck the victim on the head from behind, strangled her and put her into a red pick-up truck that was waiting on a nearby side street.

The assailants placed her in the back seat of the truck and sexually assaulted her. The victim described the assailants as two Hispanic males, approximately 5’10”, in their twenties or thirties; wearing dark shirts and white pants. One suspect was described to be approximately 175 pounds, while the other is thought to be a little heavier.

Larceny

  • Occurred 10:29AM (8/18) – 39 Columbia St.

Victim reported that her bike was stolen from the railing of her porch. Victim didn’t notice anyone suspicious in the area of her home.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 2:00PM (8/18) and 6:00PM (8/18) – 1029 Beacon St.

Victim reported that he found the front door to her apartment partially open. Upon having entered the apartment, victim noticed that his TV was missing. Also missing was cash from the victim’s night stand drawer. The drawer from the stand was left lying on the floor along with several other items. There were no signs of forced entry or any damaged locks. Neighbors reported having seen an individual that had walked out from the apartment complex with a blue shoulder bag. The suspect was described as a black male in his mid 20’s, approximately 5’10,” with a thin build, wearing a dark colored shirt, blue baggy jean shorts, and a brown baseball cap. The victim’s neighbor’s stated that the male was accompanied by a white or light skinned female, approximately in her 20’s, 5’5,” thin build, wearing a blue sun dress, and sun glasses.

Assault

  • Occurred between 11:32PM (8/18) and 11:52PM (8/18) – Beacon St/Washington St.

Victims reported having heard breaking glass while out on a stroll. All four parties decided to investigate where the noise had come from. A few seconds later a Grey hatchback Volvo came around and started throwing eggs at the victims. Victims stated that the Volvo contained four college aged white males.
