August 31st Police Reports

Graffiti

  • Occurred between 5PM (8/30) and 6:07AM (8/31)- 123 St. Mary’s Street

Victim reports after returning to work he noticed graffiti spray painted on the side of his building, this case is still under investigation.

Annoying Calls

  • Occurred between 12:01AM and 3AM (8/31)- 1470 Beacon Street

Victim reports receiving several harassing voicemail messages from a known caller. The caller will be summonsed to court for the threatening messages.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 4:49PM (8/31)- 302 Harvard Street

Victims report that they witnessed two females both described as black, the first was reported to be 5’9 the other 5’7 both of medium to light complexion, put an unknown amount of clothing in their bags and exit the store without purchasing those items. The value of these items is unknown, and this case is still under investigation.

  • Occurred between 1PM and 8PM (8/31)- 301 Harvard Street

Victim reports that sometime during the day 3 cell phones were stolen from the display area. The value of the phones is unknown and this case is still under investigation.

Child Pornography

  • Occurred on (8/28)- 5 Leland Road

Michael Selib will be summoned to court on charges of Possession of Child Pornography and Unlawful Possession of Firearms.

Selib’s home was recently condemned by the Brookline Building Department and a company was hired to clean out the home of debris, during that process the company believes they have come across Child Pornographic magazines. Workers first alerted a neighbor of the magazines and work was stopped while the Police were notified.

An investigation was started resulting in charges against Selib.
