Monday, July 14

MALICIOUS DAMAGE

Officers responded to Beacon St. for a report of malicious damage of a religious building. 

LARCENY OF AUTO-ACCESSORY

An individual approached the front desk of the Brookline Police Department and reported a stolen U-Haul trailer. The trailer was originally located on Boylston St. 

CREDIT CARD FRAUD

A report of credit card fraud was reported on Boylston St. The individual stated that the card is used exclusively for purchases at specific stores, which contributed to a delay in noticing the unauthorized charges. The suspect was summonsed to court. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to Harvard Street for a report of shoplifting with two suspects. After some investigation, the Brookline Police Department arrested three individuals in relation to this event. Suspects were arrested.

FIREWORKS

Several police units responded to Washington Street and Griggs Road for a report of noise disruption and suspected gunshots. Surveillance footage revealed that the concerning noise was the result of fireworks in Griggs Park. 

Tuesday, July 15

MALICIOUS DAMAGE

A report of malicious damage was reported on Washington St. The guilty party defaced political signs on an individual's property. 

FOUND PROPERTY

An individual reported finding a pair of headphones in the area of Washington and Holden Street. The headphones are currently at the Brookline Police Department. 

Wednesday, July 16

BIKE THEFT

A bike theft was reported at Saint Mary's Ct. 

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Several officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct on Beacon St. Two individuals were arguing about payment for a service, when one of them grabbed a metal tool. There were no threats or physical harm. Both individuals were summoned to court. 

THEFT

An individual reported a theft from their residence on Amory St. 

LARCENY 

A report of Larceny was reported on Commonwealth Ave. The reporting party noted several items missing from their backpack while it was left in a locker room. 

PACKAGE THEFT

Police received a report of a package theft on Saint Mary's St. 

Thursday, July 17

LOST PROPERTY

An individual reported lost property from their residence on Pleasant St. 

CREDIT CARD FRAUD

Officers received a report of credit card fraud on W. Roxbury Parkway. The fraudulent party, claiming to work for Amazon, convinced the individual to download multiple third party apps, share login numbers, and share their debit card information. When the reporting party realized the individual was a fraud, they took proper precautions and are closely monitoring their accounts. Police advise that the public not interact with emails or phone calls from contacts that aren't directly verified on the company's website.  

CHECK FRAUD

An individual reported check fraud on Craftsland Rd. A suspect has been identified and charged with breaking and entering of a depository and identity theft from the forged fraudulent check. 

LOST PROPERTY / LARCENY

The Brookline Police Department received a report regarding a missing front license plate from a vehicle parked on Centre Street. It is currently unclear whether the plate was lost or stolen.

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers received report of found property on South Street. Brookline Police have placed the property into evidence and have attempted to reach the owner. 

SHOPLIFTING 

An individual reported a shoplifting incident on Beacon St. 

Friday, July 18

MALICIOUS DAMAGE

A report of malicious damage on Harvard Street was filed with police. A gas pump was tampered with and certain items were removed. 

PACKAGE THEFT

A past package theft from Pearl Street was reported.

LARCENY

An individual previously involved in a theft case reported that additional personal belongings have gone missing on Amory St.  

LARCENY 

The Brookline Police Department received a report regarding two missing license plates from Commonwealth Ave.

BIKE THEFT

Officers responded to a report of bicycle theft on Chestnut St. The individual stated that they locked their bicycle in the basement the night prior and found that it was gone the following morning. 

LARCENY

A business on Commonwealth Avenue reported a shoplifting incident from a repeat offender. 

Saturday, July 19

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY 

Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity on Kent St. The reporting party states that two unidentified individuals stood in the driveway of their residence and stare in their direction for a couple minutes. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers received report of a shoplifting incident on Washington St. The reports that the suspect is an individual guilty of theft from the business in the past. 

BIKE THEFT

A report of two bike thefts on High Street was brought to officers' attention. 

Sunday, July 20

SHOPLIFTING

An individual was caught shoplifting on Commonwealth Avenue. Officers arrested the suspect. 

CAR BREAK

Officers responded to a report of a past motor vehicle break-in on Philbrick Road. The reporting party stated the car had been parked in a rear driveway, away from the street. They found their dry cleaning, previously hanging in the back, lying on the floor, and the glove compartment open. No other signs of disturbance were noted.

BURGLARY

A past burglary was reported on Glencoe Rd.  

FOUND PROPERTY

An anonymous party turned in a cell phone to the front desk of the Brookline Police Department. The cell phone was found at the Brookline Village T stop earlier in the day.
