April 23rd Police Reports

Arrest

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving with out a license. The operator was arrested.

April 22nd Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 3:00PM(4/22) – 186 Naples Rd

Yesterday three suspects were arrested for drug offenses. Two suspects were pulled over and subsequently arrested for possession of marijuana. The other suspect was arrested in their home after a search warrant was obtained.

Threats

  • Occurred at 12:00PM(4/22) – Chinese Intimidation Scam

There were six Chinese professional business owners reporting that they have received threatening phone calls. During these phone calls caller states he has a friend that has convicted a serious crime in Boston and needs to flee the country. The caller then asks for $20,000 and if they don’t receive it they claim that they will cause harm to the victim and their family. The Brookline Police Departments asks that if you receive a phone call like this that you contact the police right away.

April 21st police reports

Robbery

  • Occurred at 12:05AM(4/19) – 96 Lawton St

Victim reports that while they were walking two suspects came and demanded money from the victim. The victim gave them the money in their wallet. The suspects then fled the scene. Police arrived shortly after the incident. The two suspects were described as the following: both suspects were black males 16-18 years old 5’7”-5’10” medium build riding a BMX style bikes both wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.

April 17th-19th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 12:03PM(4/17) – Harvard St/ Linden St

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving after their license was suspended. The operator was arrested.

  • Occurred at 2:14AM(4/19) – Jamaica Way

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving under the influence of alcohol. The operator was arrested.

Graffiti Law

  • Occurred at 7:04PM(4/18) – 345 Harvard St

Officers found 5 suspects involved in the defacing of a park wall. Officers took the suspects into custody.

Threats

  • Occurred between 4/17 and 4/19

Multiple victims have reported receiving phone calls from an anonymous number requesting to receive $20,000 or else they would cause harm to the victims and their families. Detectives are following up on these cases and ask that you report any similar incidents.

April 16th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 10:48AM(4/16) – Beacon St/ Winchester St

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving after their license had been revoked. The operator was arrested.

Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 8:00PM(4/15) and 7:25AM(4/16) – 21 Sgt Crossway

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle the rear window was smashed and the purse that was left on the front seat had been taken. The purse and its contents were found by a neighbor. Police are processing the scene. Probable suspect was arrested at 4:00AM this morning after being seen in the area acting suspicious.

  • Occurred between 6:30PM(4/15) and 8:10AM(4/16) – 130 Warren St

Victims report that upon returning to their vehicles items had been taken. In one vehicle the purse which was left on the front seat was taken. The other vehicle an iPod had been taken. Police are following up on these cases. Probable suspect was arrested at 4:00AM this morning after being seen in the area acting suspicious.

Victim reports that a package was taken from their front hallway. The package contained concert tickets. The victim was advised to contact the ticket company.

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving under the influence of alcohol. The operator was arrested.

  • Occurred at 4:11AM(4/12) – Washington St / Pond Ave

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving after their license had been suspended. The operator was arrested.

Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 12:00AMand 11:30AM(4/10) – 83 Longwood Ave

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle the trunk was open and there were pry marks on the vehicle. Nothing appeared to have been taken; police are following up with this case.

  • Occurred between 11:30PM(4/10) and 8:45AM(4/11) – 73 Thatcher St

An officer arrived at 73 Thatcher St for a report of a breaking and entering on a motor vehicle. While there the officer noticed 7 other cars had also been entered. Most of the vehicles had broken passenger windows. Some of the victims report that items were missing. Police are following up on these cases.

  • Occurred between 12:35AMand 1:30PM(4/11)- 317 St. Paul St

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle the rear passenger window had been smashed in. An iPod had been taken. Police are following up on this case.

  • Occurred between 6:15AM and 2:00PM(4/11) – Brookline Ave/ Aspinwall Ave

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle the sliding door had been forced open and the contents of the vehicle were in the street. The only item missing was a power saw. Detectives are following up on this case.

  • Occurred between 8:00PM(4/10) and 800:AM(4/11) – Thatcher St/ Pleasant St

Victim reports that up returning to their vehicle the rear driver’s side window was smashed. An iPod had been taken. Police are following up on this case.

  • Occurred between 10:30PM(4/9) and 9:30AM(4/10) – 17 Kensington Circle

Victim reports that two bags of clothing and personal papers were taken out of their car. The car was left unlocked. Police are following up on this case.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 9:00PM(4/9) and 9:30AM(4/10) – 1385 Beacon St

Victim reports that when they were opening the store for the day, they noticed the rear door was ajar. A few items were missing from the store. Police are following up on this case.

  • Occurred between 11:00AM and 5:55PM(4/10) - 40 Carlton St

Victim reports that when they returned home the front door had been forced open. There were several items taken including a laptop and a Sony digital camera. Police also observed another apartment broken into but the residents were not home yet. The police are following up on these cases.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8:00AMand 8:30AM(4/9) – 490 Heath St

Three victims report that money was taken from the school. Through investigation, police were able to find the student suspect. The suspect will be summonsed to court.

  • Occurred at 2:10PM(4/10) – 306 Harvard St

Victim reports that the suspect put multiple items in their bag and then tried to leave without paying for their items. The victim stopped the suspect and detained them until police arrived. The suspect will be summonsed to court for larceny.

  • Occurred between 5:15PM and 6:00PM(4/11) – 62 Harvard St

Victim reports that their wallet was stolen from their locker. The victim cancelled their credit cards. Police are following up on this case.

April 9th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 9:42AM(4/9) Green St/ Harvard St

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving without a license. The operator was arrested.

  • Occurred at 1:32PM(4/9) – 32 Linden St

Officers responded to a suspicious person call. The caller stated that there was an unknown suspect in the apartment building where they reside. Upon the callers return the suspect fled the building. With a description police officers were able to find the suspect. The officers interviewed the suspect who then confessed to trying to break in to one of the apartments. The suspect was arrested.

  • Occurred between 7:00PM(4/8) and 8:30AM(4/9) - 50 Alton Pl

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle the from passenger window had been smashed. The GPS and iPod were missing. The GPS was mounted on the windshield and the iPod was in the center console. Detectives are following up on this case.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8:30AM(4/5) and 5:30PM(4/5) – 1 Clinton Path

Victim reports that upon returning home they noticed one of the benches in the common area outside of their building was missing. Police are following up on this.

Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 12:30AM and 9:00AM(4/7) – 65 Laurel St

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle their wallet had been taken from the center console. The victim was advised to cancel all credit cards.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 8:15AM and 3:21:PM(4/8) – 64 Parkman St

Victim reports that upon returning to their apartment they noticed the front door had been forced open. Several pieces of jewelry and a laptop were taken. Detectives are following up on this case.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 6:21PM(4/8) – 1309 Beacon St

Victim reports that the suspect took many items without paying for them when the victim addressed the suspect, the suspect fled the scene. Police were able to find and arrest the suspect.

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 6:00PM(4/6) and 11:00AM(4/7) – 21 Cedar Rd.

Victim reports that a suspect gained access to their vehicle and took change from the center console and a AAA card. Police are following up on this case.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 6:50AM and 5:45PM(4/6) – 206 St Paul St

Victim reports that upon returning to their apartment the front door had been forced open. Two laptops, iPods and a camera were missing. Police are following up on this case.

  • Occurred between 4:15PM and 5:00PM(4/7)- 129 Fisher Ave

Victim reports that upon returning to their room, the lock had been jammed, but the door was unlocked. A laptop and Xbox 360 were missing. Police are following up on this case.

Disorderly Person

  • Occurred at 10:35PM(4/6) – 194 High St

Victim reports that a male suspect described as 6 feet tall, medium build wearing a puffy jacket, jeans and a baseball cap, was peering into their window. When the victim addressed the suspect, he fled the scene. Police are following up on this.

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator had been driving under the influence of alcohol. The operator was arrested.

Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 8:15PM(4/2) and 8:00AM(4/3) – 1 Centre St Lot

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle the front passenger window had been smashed. A GPS and iPod were taken. The GPS was mounted on the windshield and the iPod was in view. Detectives are following up on this case.

  • Occurred between 5:30PM(4/3) and 12:20AM(4/4) – Pleasant St/ Commonwealth Ave

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle the rear passenger window had been broken. A bag containing personal papers had been taken. Detectives are following up on this case.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 8:00PM(4/1) and 6:30PM(4/3) – 54 Stearns Rd

Victim reports that upon returning to their apartment the front door had been forced open. Many items had been taken. Detectives are following up on this case.

  • Occurred between 7:00AM and 11:00AM(4/4) – 400 Heath St

Victim reports that a suspect gained access to their room while they were sleeping. Their laptop computer was taken.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 1:10PM and 3:40PM(3/29) – 183 Grove St

Victim reports that their cell phone had been taken out of their purse. Police are following up on this case.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 5:30PM(4/4) and 8:00AM(4/5) – 1620 Beacon St

Victim reports that the glass front door of the building had been damaged. Detectives are following up on this case.

Arrest

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving without a license. The operator was arrested.

Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 6:00PM(4/1) and 6:20AM(4/2) – 77 Colchester St

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle the front driver side window had been smashed and the GPS was missing. The GPS had been mounted on the windshield. Detectives are following up on this case.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 12:00AM and 9:00AM(3/31) – 145 Sargent Rd

Victim reports that their lawn ornaments had been taken. The lawn ornaments were plastic, life-size coyotes.

  • Occurred between 2:00PM(3/26) and 11:55(3/30) – Harvard St

Victim reports that they left their bicycle locked to a sign and when they returned the bike was missing.

Robbery

  • Occurred at 11:18PM(4/1) – Washington St / Juniper St

Victim reports that a suspect came up to them, pulled out a knife, and told the victim to empty their pant pockets. The suspect took the victim’s cash and a prescription bottle then fled the scene. The victim describes the suspect as an olive skinned Hispanic male, approximately 5’11” and a thin build. Police are following up on this case.

March 31st Police Reports

Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 12:30PM and 2:30PM(3/31) – St Paul St/ Commonwealth Ave

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle the front passenger window had been smashed in and the GPS and laptop were missing. The GPS was mounted on the dashboard and the laptop was stored in between the two front seats. Detectives are following up on this case.

Larceny

  • Reported at 12:00PM(3/31) – 20 John St

Victim reports that two bikes were stolen from under the stairs of their apartment building. The bikes were not secured.

  • Occurred at 1:47PM(3/31) – 900 Commonwealth Ave

Victim reports that the security officers of their store caught a suspect taking several items without paying for them. Police arrested the suspect.

  • Occurred between 7:45PM and 8:35PM(3/31) – 920 Commonwealth Ave

Victim reports that upon returning to their locker, their wallet containing credit cards, identification, and cash was missing. Detectives are following up on this case.

  • Occurred at 9:00PM(3/31) - 155 Harvard St

Victim reports that the suspect left the store without paying for their items. Police were able to find and arrest the suspect.

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving without a license. The operator was arrested.

  • Occurred at 6:00PM(3/28) – 1576 Beacon St

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving after their license had been suspended. The operator was arrested.

  • Occurred at 2:20AM(3/29) – Washington St/ White Pl

During a routine traffic stop officers found that the operator was driving under the influence of alcohol. The operator was arrested.

Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 2:30PM(3/24) and 10:00AM(3/25) – 76 Fenwood Rd

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle, two briefcases were taken from the car. There were no signs of forced entry.

  • Occurred between 4:00PM(3/28) and 7:00AM(3/30) – 207 Freeman St

Victim reports that upon returning to their vehicle, a pair of boots were missing. There were no signs of forced entry.

  • Occurred between 8:00AM and 9:30PM(3/27) – 1694 Beacon St

Victim reports that upon returning to their apartment a laptop, digital camera and cash was missing. Detectives are following up on this case.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 12:08PM(3/26) – 284 Harvard St

Victim reports that the suspect left the store without paying for an item. Police were able to find and arrest the suspect.

  • Occurred between 12:40PM and 1:00PM(3/26) – 1620 Beacon St

Victim reports that a suspect left the store after buying one item and not paying for another. Police are following up on this case.

March 25th Police Reports

Larceny

  • Occurred between 11:59PM(3/16) and 8:00AM(3/17) – 1414 Beacon St

Victim reports that someone took the surveillance system out of their store. It also appeared that the suspect tried to get into the safe. Police will be following up on this case.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 7:00PM and 8:15PM(3/25) – 53 Willard Rd

Victim reports that they left their wallet on a table inside their home unattended, when they returned downstairs the wallet was missing. The police found the wallet in the back yard with all its contents dumped out. The only thing missing was the cash. Police are following up on this case.

  • Occurred between 8:00PM and 8:30PM(3/25) – 250 Dean Rd

Victims report that they left their briefcases in the kitchen unattended. When they returned to the kitchen the briefcases were missing. The victims were able to locate the briefcases in the bushes, nothing was missing from them. Police are following up on this case.

  • Occurred between 7:45PM and 8:45PM(3/25) – 1285 Beacon St

Victim reports that upon returning to their car the from passenger window had been smashed. A bag containing a laptop and other item had been taken. Police are following up on this report.

The victim reports that their vehicle was missing when they returned to the parking lot. A report was filed with the police and it was suggested that a report be filed with the insurance company.

The victim reports that their vehicle was missing when they returned to the parking lot. A report was filed with the police and it was suggested that a report be filed with the insurance company.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8:00AM and 5:00PM(3/24) – 281 Tappan St

Victim reports that upon returning their apartment a laptop and some cash was missing. Detectives are following up on this case.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 11:00AM(3/20 and 1:00PM(3/21) – 37 Corey Rd

Victim reports that their lawn light had been destroyed overnight. Police believe this act was random.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 12:00PM and 5:00PM(3/12) – 52 Kent St

Victim reports that a package containing Red Sox tickets were taken out of the common area of their building after being delivered by FedEx.

Burglary

  • Reported at 10:59PM(3/23) – 210 Chestnut St

Victim reports that when they returned to their apartment the front door was closed but unlocked. The victim states that they locked the door when leaving earlier in the day. Nothing appeared to be missing and there were no signs of forced entry.
