Officers responded to the front desk of the Brookline Police Department for a report of identity fraud. The reporting party stated their identity had been stolen and been used to add onto their bills.

Officers received a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle at the front desk of the Brookline Police Department. The reporting party stated that their phone was missing from their unlocked car.

Officers at the front desk of Brookline Police Department received a report of larceny. The reporting party stated they had ordered items to be picked up a store, but when they went to retrieve it, employees informed them that someone else had picked it up.

Officers responded to a call of a strong odor of smoke emanating from a house on Thorndike Street. The smoke was determined to be from smoking joist beams under the floorboards. The smoke and damage was remedied.

Officers responded to a call of shoplifting that occurred on Harvard Street. Officers were able to identify and arrest the suspect as well as retrieve the stolen items.

Officers were dispatched to a lost property report, where on Thursday, January 15th, around 2pm approximately, an individual lost their cell phone.
PACKAGE THEFT
Officers took a report of a past package theft that occurred on January 10th, on Tappan Street. The packages were left in a unsecured vestibule and stolen, yet, one portion of the packages were recovered by officers the next day.
