Monday, January 26

FIRE

Officers responded to a call of a strong odor of smoke emanating from a house on Thorndike Street. The smoke was determined to be from smoking joist beams under the floorboards. The smoke and damage was remedied. 

PROPERTY DAMAGE

Officers responded to a call of property damage that occurred to a motor vehicle in a parking lot on Amory Street. The damage appeared to have happened between 10:00pm on January  and 10:00am on January 26th. 

MALCIOUS DAMAGE 

Officers responded to a reported of malicious damage to the reporting parties vehicle. The incident occurred in a parking lot, and is now remedied. 

Tuesday, January 27

ANIMAL BITE

Officers responded to a report of an animal bite, that occurred on Cypress Street. The reporting party stated that while walking a dog got free of its leash and attacked the reporting party's dog. 

Thursday, January 29

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers responded to a call of found property. The reporting property stated that they found a package on Glen Road and brought it inside to be in the secured lobby.

Friday, January 30

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers received found property from a citizen that included a set of keys found the morning of January 30th at the intersection of Harvard Street and Linden Street.

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers received found property from a citizen handing in a set of keys found at Waldstein Playground. 

FIRE

Officers responded to a call of a house fire on Winthrop Road. The fire was quickly extinguished and all parties are safe. 

Saturday, January 31

IDENTITY FRAUD

Officers responded to a call of identity fraud. The reporting party stated that they had received an email detailing that a new credit card was out for delivery, but the party did not applied for a new credit card. 

Sunday, February 1

FORGERY

Officers responded to a call wishing to report ongoing forgery reported by a Brookline resident. 

FIRE

Officers responded to a call of an active structure fire on Davis Avenue. The Brookline Fire Department also responded and dealt with the fire.
