Thursday, March 28th
3:40PM: Police were dispatched to Harvard Street for a
shoplifting in progress. Upon arrival, Officers noticed a woman near the
pharmacy that was concealing hair products. The woman had been given a verbal no-trespassing
agreement about 2 months ago. The suspect was placed under arrest for
shoplifting and trespassing.
Wednesday, March 27th
2:32PM: Officers were dispatched to Browne Street for a disturbance.
The reporting party told police that she noticed a woman peering into her
passenger-side window. When the reporting party asked the woman if she needed
any help, the suspect began to yell and scream aggressively. Then the suspect
went behind the car and began to bend the woman’s license plate. The suspect
will be summonsed to court for malicious damage and simple assault.
Tuesday, March 26th
4:09PM: Police were dispatched to Washington Street and
Brookline Avenue for a report of a man brandishing a knife. The reporting party
told officers that she saw a man approaching vehicles and asking for money. A
dark-colored BMW was directly in front of the reporting party’s car. The woman
noticed the man slash the tires of the car when the driver refused to give the
suspect any money. Police attempted to locate the driver of the BMW but they
were unsuccessful. The suspect is described as a slim black male in his 50’s. The
following day, Wednesday the 27th, Police received calls about two
men that were threatened with a knife. Based on these incidents, a warrant has
been issued for the arrest of this armed suspect.
Monday, March 25, 2019
Monday, March 25th
6:15 AM: Police
were dispatched to Payson Road to take a report of a past Breaking and Entering
of a Motor Vehicle. The reporting party stated that someone had entered his car
overnight and rummaged through it. He stated that the vehicle was left
unsecured at 11PM on Sunday (3/24) and he returned to his vehicle on Monday at
6 AM. At this time nothing appears to be missing. Police are investigating.
Sunday, March 24th
12:18 PM: An
Officer was dispatched to Craig Place to take a report of larceny of a bicycle.
The reporting party stated that he was sitting in his living room and observed
a man enter his backyard. A short time later he noticed that his bike was
missing and presumed the man stole it. The bike, a blue Diamondback 18 speed,
was left unsecured in the yard. Police are investigating.
Saturday, March 23rd
8:45 AM: Police were dispatched to Marshall Street
to take a report of past malicious damage to a motor vehicle. The reporting
party stated that her rear window was broken. It appeared that no entry to the
vehicle was gained. The reporting party stated that she had a verbal
altercation with a tow truck driver the day before regarding a parking spot,
and believes he may have something to do with the damage. Police are
investigating.
1:03 PM: Police were dispatched to a business on
Harvard Street for the report of Shoplifting. Upon arrival Officers were
informed by lost prevention that they observed a man place several items into a
gym bag and then go into a changing room. The man emerged from the changing
room holding several items and went to check out. He paid for the items in his
hand and made his way to the exit. A lost prevention officer stopped the man
and discovered several stolen items concealed in the man’s gym bag (valued just
under $100). The man was arrested for Shoplifting.
Friday, March 22nd
4:30 PM: An Officer was dispatched to a
residence on Harvard Street to take a report of a past larceny. The reporting
party stated that cash was missing from his wallet and his bedroom. He believes
that sometime between Thursday at 4:30 PM and Friday at 10:30 AM someone came
to his apartment and stole the money. He states that he believes he locked the
door to his residence. Police observed no signs of forced entry. This case is
under investigation.
