Wednesday, February 20th


10:18AM: An Officer was dispatched to take a past larceny report on Tappan Street. The reporting party told police that a laptop and laptop charger have been missing and presumed stolen sometime prior to December 2018. The reporting party stated that on November 26th at approximately 4pm, the items were secured in a closet. On December 3rd at around 1pm, the reporting party noticed the laptop was missing. A few employees have access to the closet. Police noticed scuff and pry marks around the opening of the closet. This case is under investigation.

3:07PM: Officers were dispatched to a business on Harvard Street for a report of shoplifting. Upon arrival, Police Officers met with loss prevention employees who stated that they observed a woman putting items into a shopping cart and then placing those items in her bag. They confronted the suspect and asked her to come to the loss prevention office to talk. Once inside the office, the suspect admitted stealing a variety of items. Police summoned the suspect to court for shoplifting.

5:01PM: A citizen came to the Police station to report a larceny from the front foyer of his building. The reporting party was expecting three packages from Amazon. His doorbell rang and he went to the foyer to see who it was. When he arrived he saw two packages and brought them in. A short time later he received an email from Amazon alerting him that all three packages had been delivered. When he checked further he discovered that someone named “Dey” had signed for all three packages. The reporting person was not familiar with anyone named “Dey”. The missing package contained a laptop valued at over $1000. Police are investigating.
