On October 22nd, officers were dispatched to the area of Babcock Street for shoplifting shoes at a local department store on Harvard Ave.  On scene, a store employee stated he had helped three female individuals find shoes and had gone out back to find a different size.  On his arrival to the sales floor,  he saw the three subjects flee the store down Harvard St. and onto Babcock St.  The employee was able to give the officers on scene a description of the subjects and shoes the subjects had stolen. This information was broadcasted over the radio. While canvassing the area, an officer was able to located the three individuals matching the description hiding behind a vehicle in the rear parking lot of John St. A search of their bags revealed the stolen shoes. The subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Brookline Police Station.

On October 22nd, an officer while on patrol on Boylston Street noticed a vehicle with an expired registration sticker.  The officer activated his overhead emergency lights and initiated a traffic stop.  The officer advised the driver as to the reason for the stop and asked for his license and registration. The officer radioed Brookline Dispatch to request a status check of the driver’s license and registration.  Brookline Dispatch confirmed the driver’s license suspended and registration revoked.  The subject was placed under arrest.
