June 15th - 21st

Arrest

Occurred 4:39PM (6/16) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a local animal hospital for an intoxicated person. The caller, an employee, stated that the subject had come in to ask advice regarding her cat and upon entering the building, fell through the doorway. The caller was nervous about the subject’s sobriety and attempt to driver her vehicle. After further investigation, officers became concerned that the subject had driven to the station while intoxicated and she was subsequently arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor.

Occurred 5:26PM (6/17) – 56 Chestnut St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a speeding violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers found that his license was suspended. The driver was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle after suspension.

Occurred 4:45PM (6/18) – 4 Brookline Place

Police responded to a report of a possible shoplifting. The caller stated that he thought that a subject had just stolen an item from his convenience store, but nothing appeared to have been taken. Upon identifying the subject, officers found that he had a default warrant and he was subsequently arrested.

Occurred 12:43AM (6/19) – Boylston St./Dunster Rd.

Police performed a traffic stop for a speeding violation. After identifying the driver, it was discovered that she had a default warrant. The driver was subsequently arrested.

Occurred 7:35PM (6/21) – Boylston St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officer found that his license was suspended. The driver was subsequently arrested for operating after suspension.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 6:30AM and 2:20PM (6/18) – Brookline Ave./Parkway Rd.
Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that he returned to his truck to find that his passenger side window was smashed and his GPS unit was stolen. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 12:00PM and 12:30PM (6/19) – Egmont St.

Police were informed by a victim that his vehicle had been victimized. The victim stated that he had returned to find his vehicle’s passenger side window smashed. A GPS unit and the victim’s wife’s purse, containing credit and debit cards, a passport, and medications, were stolen. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 12:10PM and 12:31PM (6/21) – Carlton St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that he parked his company truck and upon returning was informed by a passerby that she had seen a heavy-set black female steal a GPS unit from the victim’s vehicle. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 10:30AM and 5:30PM (6/9) – Freeman St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The caller stated that he noticed that the vending machine, in the basement of an apartment complex, was not properly locked. When the vending machine was opened up, there was a large amount of money missing from inside. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 7:11PM (6/17) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a panic alarm for a shoplifter in a local retail store. Upon arriving on scene, an employee stated that a black male in his late 20’s or early 30’s, wearing a bright orange hoodie, blue jeans, and black sneakers, just stole an “Iphone” from the store. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 8:55AM and 9:00AM (6/18) – Browne St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that she was at a local coffee shop with a friend. She placed her black backpack was on the back of the chair and upon leaving, the victim realized it was gone. Along with the backpack, the victim’s wallet, credit cards, license, money, house keys, and prescription glasses were stolen. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 1:00PM and 1:17PM (6/18) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The caller, an employee at a local jewelry store, stated that she was working with a customer when another customer asked her a question. When the employee attempted to assist the other customer, the original customer walked out of the store with a silver ring. The suspect was a young woman with olive skin wearing a turquoise short sleeved shirt with a headband. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 7:30PM and 7:45PM (6/14) – Beacon St.

Victim reported to police that his Iphone had been stolen. He stated that he had left his cell phone in a restaurant and when he returned it was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 4:41PM (6/19) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifting at a local bookstore. The caller, an employee, stated that she observed a white female, 40-50 years old with long grey hair in a ponytail and missing several teeth, steal five woman’s silver rings from a display. The woman was with a 7-8 year old black male. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 5:32PM (6/1) and 5:32PM (6/19) – Rawson Rd.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that several decorative items were stolen from his garden. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 8:05PM (6/19) – Commonwealth Ave.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local restaurant. The caller, an employee, stated that three subjects, all between 35-40 years old and heavy set with one missing a right leg and seated in a wheel chair, ordered a large amount of food and left without paying the bill. The subjects left in a green Honda sedan. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 6:00PM (6/17) and 5:00PM (6/20) – Clinton Rd.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that his new credit card and the keys to his vehicle were missing from his desk inside his home. The victim believed that a visitor may have stolen the items. A check of the credit card showed that there were upwards of 20 fraudulent charges made since the card went missing. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 11:00AM and 2:00PM (6/15) – St. Paul St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that she arrived home to find her apartment broken into. A ring and some money were taken from the apartment. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:00AM and 3:40PM (6/17) – Strathmore Rd.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that she arrived home and noticed that her front door lock had been damaged. The lock appeared to have been pried open and was on the floor of her apartment. The victim’s dresser drawers were all opened and her items were strewn across her bedroom. It was discovered that the victim’s money was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 9:05AM and 2:45PM (6/18) – Browne St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that upon arriving home she discovered that her front door had been pried open. A large amount of jewelry was missing from the victim’s home. Officers also found that another apartment at the same address had been broken into and jewelry was also missing from inside. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 9:30AM and 7:00PM (6/21) – Freeman St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that he returned home to find his door lock was broken. Taken from inside the house were a watch and a jar of coins. Police are following up on the case.

June 10th - 14th

Arrest

Occurred between 6:45PM and 7:30PM (6/13) – 360 Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a restraining order violation at the Brookline Court.
The victim stated that the subject of the restraining order showed up at her home unannounced. The subject was subsequently arrested for violating a restraining order.

Occurred 4:33PM (6/14) – Boylston St./High St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a speeding violation. After identifying the driver, it was discovered that the driver had a suspended license and she was subsequently arrested.

Assault

Occurred 11:28AM (6/11) – Perkins St.

An officer was monitoring a Brookline Park that participates in the Green Dog Program when the officer observed a man’s dog defecate on the ground. The man did not clean up after his dog. The officer asked the man to clean it up and he said he would but the man subsequently left without cleaning up the mess. The officer informed the man he would be mailed a ticket. Moments later, the man drove up behind the officer, got out of the vehicle and began to bang on the officer’s window. The man then proceeded to yell and pushed a bag of dog feces at the officer. The man was arrested for assault and battery on a police officer and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Occurred 1:26PM (6/13) – Dummer St./Amory St.

Officers responded to a report of a juvenile female who ran away from the supervision of DCF. Officers spotted the female walking and when they attempted to tell her to stop, she refused. While trying to control the subject, she turned and struck an officer in the throat. After officers had her restrained, the subject still continued to yell and swing her arms and legs in the direction of officers as well as Emergency Medical Personnel. The subject was subsequently arrested for assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 11:00PM (6/10) and 7:30 AM (6/11) – Jamaica Rd.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that he went to bed and upon waking, he observed a rock in the dining room and his middle three front windows were broken. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 7:00PM and 7:30PM (6/9) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that she and a friend had returned home and walked inside. When she was by the rear porch, the victim heard the sound of loud footprints coming from inside the home and then the front door shut. Entry by an unknown person appeared to have been made through the front of the apartment, however nothing seemed to be missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 9:00AM and 7:15PM (6/11) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that she returned home from work and discovered that the front door was damaged. A watch and a bracelet were missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:35PM and 11:45PM (6/12) – Verndale St.

Police responded to a report of an unwanted male party inside the caller’s apartment. The caller stated that he was asleep while his wife was in the computer room downstairs. His wife heard a noise in the kitchen and went to investigate. She saw a male subject in her home and he asked if he was in the correct house and stated he was lost. After further investigation by the officers, the male subject began to contradict himself, a screen was found alongside the home with a slash in it, a sign of an entry point, and a backpack containing 6 brand new hats. The male subject was arrested for burglary and receiving stolen property.

Occurred between 7:10AM and 12:00PM (6/14) – University Rd.

Police responded to report of a burglary. The victims stated that they had left the apartment and returned to find that the door had been pried open. Another resident of the same building also had their home broken into in the same time period. The victims stated that their gold jewelry was missing. Police are following up on the case.

May 18th - 19th

Arrest

Occurred 3:24PM (5/18) – Brookline Place

Police responded to a report of two male subjects harassing another male. Officers identified all parties involved and discovered that one of the subjects had a warrant and he was subsequently arrested.


Breaking and Entering and Larceny

Occurred between 7:30AM (5/17) and 6:08AM (5/18) – Bonad Rd.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that upon returning to his vehicle, he noticed that the passenger door was ajar. A GPS unit was found to be missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 7:00PM (5/17) and 8:43AM (5/18) – Alberta Rd.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that her vehicle had been broken into and a GPS unit and some change were taken. The car appeared to have been broken into with some sort of instrument. Officers discovered another vehicle that had been broken into. That victim was also missing a GPS unit and change. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 3:30PM (5/13) and 9:30AM (5/18) – Wallis Rd.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that a small gold pocket knife and some change were taken. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred 5:00PM (5/17) and 8:30AM (5/18) – Verndale St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that her bicycle was stolen off of her front porch. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 10:45PM (5/17) and 7:50AM (5/18) – Commonwealth Ave.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that his restaurant had been broken into. Upon arriving on scene, officers observed that the cash register draws were scattered on the floor and that a safe was also open and empty. There appeared to be no forced entry. After further investigation, officers discovered that an employee who was closing up had left the door open intentionally so as to help an individual rob the store. The employee was subsequently arrested for larceny.

Occurred between 11:00PM (5/16) and 12:00PM (5/17) – Beacon St.

Victim reported to police that one of his dumpsters had been taken. The victim is the owner of a waste management company. Police are following up on the case.

Robbery

Occurred 4:28PM (5/18) – Brookline Place

Police responded to a report of suspicious activity. The caller, a security guard, stated that a young male was sitting in the lobby because another person was following him around the area trying to fight him. Officers immediately located the suspect. Neither party would acknowledge why these events were happening or how the two knew each other. The same two parties had been involved in a harassment incident earlier that day. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested for unarmed assault with intent to rob and possession of a class E drug.

May 13th - 17th

Arrest

Occurred 1:45AM (5/13) – 1 Summit Park

Officers observed a vehicle idling in a posted “No Parking” zone. After further investigation, the driver of the vehicle was discovered to be under the influence of drugs and in possession of a SWAT knife. The driver was subsequently arrested for carrying a dangerous weapon, receiving stolen property, possession of fireworks, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs.

Occurred 7:44PM (5/13) – Boylston St.

Officers responded to a report of a habitual trespasser. The subject had an active no trespass order for the property in question. After further investigation, officers arrested the subject for resisting arrest and trespassing.

Occurred between 3:53AM and 4:30AM (5/16) – Boylston St.

Police observed a parked running vehicle with the driver slumped down over the steering wheel. When the officer approached, he noticed the driver was asleep and that there was a pool of vomit on the road and the inside door. After waking the driver and further conversation, the officer became concerned that the driver was intoxicated. The driver was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.

Occurred 7:55AM (5/17) – Clinton Rd.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, it was found that he did not have a Massachusetts driver’s license. The driver was subsequently arrested for being not duly licensed.

Malicious Damage

Occurred 10:53AM (5/14) – Greenough St.

Police responded to a report of malicious destruction. The caller, an employee at Brookline High School, stated that a student had intentionally destroyed another student’s sweatshirt. After further investigation, the student was arrested for malicious destruction of property.

Occurred between 12:28PM (5/6) and 12:28PM (5/13) – Egmont St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that her dining room window had been broken. The damaged window is located in the rear of the building and faces a back parking lot. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 4:00PM (5/15) and 8:30AM (5/16) – High St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that he noticed his vehicle was having trouble accelerating. When he attempted to find the problem, he observed that a wig had been stuck in the tailpipe. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 9:00AM (5/3) and 12:36PM (5/17) – Boylston St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that every spring he plants flowers in front of his store and that recently someone has been stomping and pulling on them. A young male with two dogs has been seen stomping on the plants. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 9:30AM (4/17) and 6:30PM (5/17) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that his bedroom window had been broken by a small rock. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering

Occurred between 8:30PM (5/13) and 7:30AM (5/14) – Kenwood St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that he had parked his vehicle in the driveway and returned in the morning to find the driver’s side door slightly ajar and the glove box open. The victim’s GPS unit was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 3:50AM (5/17) – Columbia St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The caller stated that he awoke to his roommate’s car alarm going off. When he went to check on the vehicle, he noticed that the car had been rummaged through but that nothing appeared to have been taken. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred 12:29PM (5/13) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a white female fleeing a local supermarket after stealing a pocketbook. The subject was said to have entered a taxi after she was prevented from leaving the store in her own vehicle by security. Officers located the taxi and found the subject in the backseat. After identifying the female, it was found that she had an outstanding warrant. Upon further investigation, the subject was arrested for larceny from a person and the warrant.

Occurred 1:30AM (5/2) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a stolen wallet. The victim stated that he had been leaving a local restaurant when he dropped his money on the floor. The victim then picked up the money, placed his wallet back in his pocket, and left. Later that same day, the victim realized his wallet was now missing. The wallet contained cash, a debit card, and two forms of ID. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 1:40PM (5/14) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter at a local TJ Maxx. The caller, an employee, stated that he witnessed the suspect take a pair of shoes and place them into her bag. After a check of the bag, items from another local store were also located. The suspect was arrested for shoplifting.

Occurred between 11:00AM (5/13) and 6:05PM (5/14) – Harvard St.

Victim reported to police that her wallet had been stolen. The victim stated that she was shopping at a local supermarket when she left her purse for a moment to grab an item. When she returned, the victim immediately noticed that her wallet was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 7:00AM and 10:00AM (5/17) – Euston St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that someone had stolen a mirror off of her scooter. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 5:00PM (5/13) and 5:45AM (5/14) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of damage to a front door of a local hair salon. Upon arriving on scene, officers observed that a glass panel on the front door had been completely removed. It appeared the suspect attempted to break the window with a concrete rock before prying the glass from the frame with a tool. The computer system seemed to be targeted. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 2:30PM (5/15) and 12:01AM (5/16) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that upon returning to her apartment, she noticed that her laptop computer and charger were missing. Both the front door and the rear door were locked when the victim returned but the screen was removed from the rear kitchen window. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 3:00PM and 11:25PM (5/15) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that when she arrived home, she noticed that the window area of her apartment looked different. The rear window, located next to the fire escape, appeared to be unlocked and a potted plant was bent as if it had been caught in the window. Nothing appeared to have been taken. Police are following up on the case.

June 8th - 9th

Arrest

Occurred between 3:00PM (6/8) – Washington St.

Police have been following a series of package thefts throughout Brookline since March 2010. Officers responded to another theft in which the packaging was left behind and submitted the packaging into evidence. A subject’s fingerprints were found on the packaging. After further investigation, officers located and arrested the subject on two counts of larceny as well as receiving stolen property. The subject’s girlfriend was found to also be involved and was subsequently arrested for one count of larceny and two counts of receiving stolen property.

Occurred between 4:18PM and 4:58PM (6/9) – Chestnut St.

Police responded to a report of a subject throwing fireworks out of a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and after indentifying the driver, became concerned that he may be intoxicated. Upon further investigation, the driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, disorderly conduct, possession of fireworks, and having no license in his possession.

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 7:45AM and 9:30AM (6/8) – Boylston St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that he parked his vehicle in a lot and upon returning from work, noticed that his entire vehicle had been intentionally scratched. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 12:43PM (6/9) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that he returned home to find that his inner foyer’s glass door was damaged. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 9:30AM and 10:45AM (6/9) – Pond Ave/Jamaica Rd.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that she returned back to her vehicle and discovered that her front driver’s side window was smashed and her purse was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 2:00PM and 3:00PM (6/8) – Chatham Circle

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that she hired a live-in house cleaner but when the cleaner was not working out, the victim let her go. The victim had provided the cleaner with a cell phone for work purposes, which was initially returned. After the house cleaner had left, the victim realized that the cell phone, along with cash from her nightstand, was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 11:00AM (6/7) and 12:01AM (6/8) – Boylston St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that he returned home from work and found the front door of his apartment had been damaged with what appeared to be a screwdriver. Some money was missing from his bedroom. At the same time, officers were made aware of a possible attempted burglary with a screwdriver at a different apartment at the same address. Officers believed that the burglar was scared off by the presence of the residents of the apartment. Police are following up on the case.

June 7th

Arrest

Occurred between 11:20AM and 12:00PM (6/7) – Harvard St./Green St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers found that she only had possession of an expired Florida driver’s license. The driver was subsequently arrested for being not duly licensed.

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 12:30AM and 6:30AM (6/7) – Dwight St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that she and her husband went to sleep and upon waking noticed that there was a hole in the front foyer glass door. The damage appeared to have been caused by a glass beverage bottle. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 5:00PM (6/6) and 8:30AM (6/7) – Green St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The caller stated that a glass partition had been broken overnight. The glass appeared to have been broken by a rock. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 1:00PM and 6:00PM (6/4) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that a package had been delivered and left in the front vestibule of his apartment. Upon returning home, the package, containing a digital picture frame, was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 8:00AM and 4:38PM (6/7) – School St.

Victim reported to police that her wallet had been taken from her backpack. She stated that she had left her backpack with other student’s bags near the gymnasium. She later realized her wallet was stolen when it was found in the girl’s bathroom. A debit card and some cash were missing. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 4:00PM (6/5) and 7:36AM (6/7) – Jordan Rd.

Victim reported to police that his tools had been stolen. He stated that his home is currently under construction and that his locked tool box had been broken into and six power tools were stolen. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 1:00PM and 1:20PM (6/7) – St. Paul Street

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that she left her home for approximately 20 minutes and upon returning, noticed that her door had been broken. It appeared to have been pried open by the use of a tool. Police are following up on the case.

May 31st - June 6th

Arrest

Occurred between 6:07PM and 6:40PM (6/3) – Circuit Rd./Spooner Rd.

Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash. The vehicle had crashed through a fence and stopped under some trees. When officers arrived they observed a clear plastic baggy sticking out of the driver’s front pocket with three capped needles inside. A fourth uncapped needle containing heroin was located on the floor of the vehicle between the driver’s feet. Several other pieces of drug paraphernalia were also located. The driver was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, possession of a class A drug, and traffic offenses.

Occurred 9:06PM (6/3) – Harvard St.

Police executed a traffic stop for an expired inspection sticker. Upon identifying the driver, it was discovered that his license was suspended. The driver was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle after suspension, operating a motor vehicle with an expired inspection sticker, and possession of an open container of alcohol.

Occurred 10:45AM (6/4) – 665 Hammond St.

Police performed a traffic stop for a driving violation. After identifying the driver, officers found that his license was suspended. The driver was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle after suspension.

Occurred between 7:56PM and 8:20PM (6/4) – Boylston St./Dunster Rd.

Police executed a traffic stop for a speeding violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers found that he did not own a driver’s license. The driver was subsequently arrested for being not duly licensed.

Assault

Occurred 5:16AM (6/6) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of an assault. The victim stated that he and his friend were walking down the street when a group of males started cursing at them from a second floor apartment window. The groups exchanged words and moments later, a group of three males approached the victim on the street. One of the males punched the victim in the face. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering

Occurred between 4:00PM (5/30) and 9:52AM (5/31) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that he had parked his vehicle and when he returned, the front passenger side window had been smashed. A GPS unit was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 5:30PM (5/31) and 6:49AM (6/1) – Heath St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that upon returning to her vehicle, she noticed that her front passenger side window had been smashed. A purse was missing from inside the vehicle. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 8:00PM (5/31) and 7:45AM (6/1) – Cary Rd.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that he looked out his kitchen window and observed damage done to his right front passenger window. Nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 4:00PM (5/31) and 7:00AM (6/1) – Meadowbrook Rd.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that she had parked her vehicle and a friend placed his wallet in the door side pocket. Upon returning, the wallet was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 1:00AM (6/1) and 8:30AM (6/2) – Brook St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that both of his vehicles had been entered overnight. The victim’s Ipod mp3 player was missing from one of the vehicles. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 10:52AM (6/2) – Chestnut St.

An off duty Brookline Police officer observed a male subject acting suspiciously, riding a bicycle around a parked vehicle. The subject appeared to match a description from a recent breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. After continuing to observe the subject, the officer watched the subject run from the back of a building, with his hand bleeding and a GPS unit in his possession. Upon further investigation, the subject was arrested for breaking and entering and larecny of a motor vehicle, possession of burglarious tools, and trespassing.

Occurred between 6:00PM (6/3) and 12:30AM (6/4) – Russett Rd.

Police responded to a report of breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. The victim noticed that her vehicle had been entered after moving her car into the driveway. The contents of the glove compartment had been disturbed and the victim’s bank card was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 6:00PM (6/3) and 8:00AM (6/4) – Reservoir Rd.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that she had parked her vehicle in the driveway. Loose change and cash were missing from the vehicle. Police are following up on the case.

Malicious Damage

Occurred 2:08AM (5/31) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a loud party where people were throwing beer bottles. Officers advised the subjects of the complaint. Later that day, officers responded to a call of malicious damage around the same address. A vehicle’s rear windshield had a large hole and a beer bottle was inside the vehicle. Subsequent an investigation, the subjects from the previous complaint were suspect to be responsible and will be summonsed to Brookline District Court.

Occurred between 11:00PM (5/6) and 8:00AM (5/28) – Muddy River

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that a piece of her personal artwork, as well as the work of 4 other local artists, was significantly damaged during 2 separate indicents. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 9:00AM and 11:00AM (6/1) – Longwood Ave.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that she returned to her vehicle to find that her windshield had been damaged. It appeared that a rock had been thrown at the vehicle. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 2:00AM (6/6) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that during the night, he and his wife heard the sound of glass breaking. The victim went down in the morning and observed that his second floor exterior storm window had been broken by a beer bottle. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 7:50PM and 8:00PM (6/6) – Boylston St./Hammond St.

Victim reported to police that her vehicle had been damaged. She had parked the vehicle and upon returning noticed that there were deep scratches on both sides of the vehicle as well as the front and the back. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 8:00AM (4/15) and 3:40PM (5/31) – Littell Rd.

Police responded to a report of a stolen bicycle. The victim stated that the bicycle had been stolen from a shed under the front stairs of her home. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 1:00PM and 6:00PM (5/29) – Claflin Rd.

Victim reports that packages were stolen from the foyer of her building. The packages contained portable air conditioners and a dress. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 12:00PM (5/29) and 8:30PM (5/31) – Jordan Rd.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that a package that had been delivered to her home was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 12:50PM (5/29) and 12:01AM (6/1) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that a package had been stolen from the front vestibule of his building. The package contained two ceiling fans. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 1:30PM and 6:17PM (6/1) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that she had received a package in her front foyer on the way to work. Upon returning, the victim noticed that the package had been opened and the contents missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 4:00PM and 6:15PM (6/1) – Short St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that he saw a package get delivered to his building. After going upstairs for a moment, the victim returned to find the package open. Missing from the package was a medical instrument designed specifically for the victim. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 10:04AM (5/28) and 10:04AM (5/31) – Coolidge St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated both an air conditioner and a grill were missing from his property. The grill had been located in the backyard and the air conditioner was in an unsecured basement storage area. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 2:30PM (5/26) and 2:30PM (6/3) – Harvard Ave.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that the rear wheel and tire was missing from his vehicle. Plastic crates, used as supports during the larceny, were found beside the vehicle. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 10:55AM (6/4) – 155 Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifting that had just occurred at a local supermarket. Officers were provided with a description of the suspect. An officer spotted a male subject fitting the description cutting through the Walgreens parking lot. After identifying the man, officers discovered he was carrying 12 canisters of baby formula. The man was subsequently arrested for shoplifting.

Occurred between 11:15AM and 11:45AM (6/4) – Greenough St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny at Brookline High School. The victim stated that her Ipod and cash had been taken from her backpack. Her backpack went missing while the victim was talking to a teacher and when it was later found in the girl’s bathroom, the bag was empty. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 2:00PM (5/28) and 6:24PM (6/4) – Cypress St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The caller stated that someone had removed two five foot speed bumps located in the rear of the address. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred 9:22PM (5/31) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a suspicious person whom the caller believed was trying to steal a motorcycle. The caller stated that a subject was trying to saw through a lock chain and gave a description. Officers located the subject and after further investigation, he was arrested for breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony, larceny from a building, attempted larceny, malicious destruction of property, and possession of burglarious tools.

Occurred between 10:40AM and 12:40PM (6/3) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that his daughter had returned home to find that the front door was damaged. Items in the victim’s bedroom had been disturbed. It was unsure at the time if any items were missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:30PM (6/3) and 6:15AM (6/4) – Harvard Ave.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim noticed that her basement window was broken. A wrench was found next to the broken window as well as a bloody t-shirt. A circular hand saw had been removed from the basement and placed in bushes. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 5:30PM (6/1) and 10:00PM (6/4) – Harris St.

Police responded to a report of an attempted burglary. The victim stated that her upstairs neighbor had found the kitchen window screen cut and the window open. There did not appear to be anything missing from the house but there were smudges and items moved inside to suggest entry. Police are following up on the case.
